I think it might be even more complicated than that, given that all this is just our imagination being put into practice, since we haven't even scratched the hair of the surface.
So might as well say that it's incomprehensible, so far.

The Zohar emulators are artificial information engines that allow universal access to the zohar. They (Xenosaga I,II, &III) are also the prototypes for the trinity processors. They are not capable of the phase shift phenomenon. They just make requests to the zohar, which, in turn activates a phase shift. They have no access to the higher dimension by themselves and their energy capacity is woefully inadequate. The still holds true for the trinity processors, which needed to work in unison to draw out a fraction of the zohar’s power, and still failed. This is evidenced many times through the Xeno series when a human tries to use it to their own ends. All series agreed that the zohar is far beyond human comprehension. The fact that it is something from a higher dimension means that there is no possible way we, as only third/fourth dimensional beings would know its true form. And being of a higher dimension it can appear tangible in this one. The closest thing to describe it would be phantom. Emulators were not just made aboard the ships in Xenosaga, either. If you listen into the story when KOS-MOS is beaten and damaged by TELOS, they talk about her “black box” the neither Shion, or the other creator could explain. When asked, Shion says she doesn’t know, and her former husband says that she made it when a strong wish she had resonated with the zohar, at which time, it instructed her on what to make. She was said to be in a trance at the time, and had no memory of it after finished. This is a zohar emulator built in to her circuitry. Is is also a true emulator, capable of making any request, and accepting an increasing and continual amount of energy, as time passes. Ether in Xenosaga is not so much a connection to the zohar (like in GEARS) as it is a consequence of its appearance in the universe. The zohar changes the probabilities through elementary particles, which is also called ether, through direct manipulation. This is completely different from the process we conceive as we can only interact with particles after they have bonded and become viable. There is no telling what would be possible if something was able to interact with free particles and atoms throughout the universe without the need for bonding. Also, I believe that KOS-MOS was used as a blueprint/prototype for all blades in Xenonlade. This would make sense as , time wise, in the storyline. The zohar appeared there after Mary left with it from the Saga universe. The zohar would have that stored info and it would be accessible to an administrator to work off for building ether-based life (as all life is in the Blade series).

You had me until you tried to connect saga in a linear tike axis to the blade series. Like, No. the most far reaching thing you can say is that its 1 out of infinite Multiverse AUs, and the ZOHAR (which who knows if its unique to the multiverse but probably not given its destoryed in gears) in blade 2 pulled data from the lower domain multiverse which is why it something like KOSMOS and TELOS and animals of blade 1 show up. But the idea that its in 2 because mary took it there is groundless, not to mention legal reasons tetsuya cant ever directly connect the two, so pulling it from a obscure multiverse just makes it work nicer. Also even if we assume it is from saga, there also is then no explanation for how and why, we dont even know what Chaos and Mary had to accomplish on earth, or if Shion reached them. So basically the assumption is decent fanfic territory at best.

@@UCu5gjzXvp21vqXJOFrSiJkBXuw while it may SEEM like I was using a linear-time axis, it isn’t so much that as we don’t have a way of defining how something that exists in a higher dimension moves through ours. So, I was using the limited vernacular we do have based on our limited understanding. There is also the fact that Tetsuya had KOSMOS appear as one of the final rare blades in XBC2. While this doesn’t prove that XBC happens after Xenosaga, it lends a lot of credibility to it. Not only that, but there is also an optional quest where you actually get to meet, and hear about some of the game connections from a phantom of Shion in her childhood. They are definitely different universes, but the story’s explanation and progression of events lead to this conclusion about how the Zohar appeared in the XBC universe. Also, don’t forget, there is no way to actually determine from our limited understanding how a higher dimensional relic that changes through a process that is beyond us using the abilities of a god behaves.

I think of the Zohars as gateways to both God (Wave Existence or U-DO) and the Xeno series multiverse. It being a source of infinite power is a byproduct of this and you'll notice most of the minor villains only use it for that purpose while the major villains understand it's true potential is far beyond that. Also from what I can tell it is the heroes ability to tap into God's will that allows them to perform miracles that is the second purpose you mentioned. Also God is very fickle in Gears and Saga while he has proxies for his will, the Aegis's, in the Blade series which makes it easier to use his power.
I'm kind of curious as to what Xenoblade X will do with the Zohar/Conduit if they continue that series. I wonder if Mira's source of power and miracles will be a Zohar or go unexplained in a sequel. God I hope X gets a port soon after XCDE and a sequel soon after that.
Also I'm really hoping for a Xenogears remake and a remaster of Xenosaga as well, but those are probably not going to happen anytime soon.

I always thought that since Xenoblade 1's verse was kinda created by Alvis and that all the beings in it were "made of ether", that to those beings ether was very similar to the 18th(?) century concept of the Ether. XB1's ether being like the Ether that was the precursor to spacetime would also kinda make the explanation of the visions make sense, as that universe would be based off of classical physics and relativity, so that observing the "flow of ether" would indeed show the future that will happen unless knowledge of it is used to change it. Idk if any of that makes sense though

The next question is, what would Logos do with the phase shift if he wasn't crippled by the fact he can't/doesn't want to resonate with a driver properly.
As it stands, he's kind of the weakest of the three Aegis cores, though that could be explained away by the fact that he didn't fully resonate with his chosen driver. Though, interestingly he forged a connection with Jin and we know that Flesh Eaters could resonate with other Blades and that Aegis cores can resonate with someone other than their original driver, as with Pneuma and Addam + Rex. Though that may require the original to have been deceased and for the Aegis to survive and not return to their crystal.
What would have happened if he hadn't been awakened by Amalthus or chose to resonate with someone else? Would he still have his destruction power, or would his darkness attribute have made itself apparent in a different way? What would have happened if Jin had Resonated with Malos?
Just somethings that I though of near the end there. Topic for a future theory video maybe?
Great video by the way, it's interesting to see the slight differences between the different appearances the Zohar has made over the years.

How the Anima relics could boost the Gears is actually pretty simple if you think about it. The concepts of Animus and Anima are associated with masculine and feminine, and when compatible, they come together to create a more powerful whole. When a gear is paired with a compatible Anima relic, it becomes whole and capable of receiving more of the power transmitted from the Zohar.

    • @CalaCrisp88
      @CalaCrisp88 4 роки тому +3

I've only taken one quantum course so my explanation may not be the best, but i'll give it a try.
So, everything can be represented as a wave. For example, given an energy eigenstate, we can describe it by writing a wavefunction. (A wavefunction describes an eigenstate if it is a solution to the Schrodinger equation, which we don't need to get into now. Practically, this means, whenever you observe or measure it, you will always observe it to have a definite value. Also there are other eigenvalues besides energy, but for now we'll just use that as an example.)
Waves can superimpose (think constructive/destructive interference, which should be more familiar, since that's not strictly a quantum mechanics concept). Then, since energy eigenstates are like waves, multiple states can superimpose like waves. Different eigenstates could end up having different probabilities of occurring when in this superposition, depending on certain factors.
When we observe a system with multiple states, we will observe one of those discrete states (at given probability). We'll never see an energy state that's between different states or something. The combined wavefunction will always collapse into one of the small, basic wavefunctions.
Now about the uncertainty principle. There's a limit to how precisely you can measure all the qualities of an object. For example, position and momentum are a pair. The more precise you are in finding the position of a particle, the less precise you can be in finding its momentum, and vice versa. You've probably at least heard about this in a basic chem class, the fact that you can't precisely determine the location and speed of an electron orbiting around an atom. That's one application of the uncertainty principle.

  • @UnethicalVoxel
    @UnethicalVoxel 4 роки тому +10

(Sorry for text wall, TL;DR at bottom)
My question is this: knowing how complicated and in-depth the Xeno series is, why is the Conduit not called the Zohar? I think there's probably a reason for that. We know the Conduit was discovered in Africa an the 21st century, and the Zohar of the Xenosaga universe was hidden in Kenya. so the question is this: do Xenosaga and Xenoblade take place in the same universe? Namco has been far more cooperative with Nintendo/Monolith than Square has, so It's possible. That raises another question though: what happened to separate some of the humans from earth? Was the Saviorite War and Klaus' experiment what caused Earth to be lost? What if part of the Zohar "left" for the Gears universe, causing it's appearance to shift and for it's power to be altered, causing it to no longer be the true Zohar, but merely a CONDUIT of the Zohar's power, siphoning energy from the Gears version? This is all speculation, I've only ever played Xenoblade 2 so all of the info I got on other games comes from your videos and wikis, but since there's a space elevator in Xenosaga 3's ending, this may be the truth...
TL;DR Klaus splits the Zohar between the Conduit and the true Zohar, true Zohar goes to Gears land, Saga and Blade share a universe, Blade's Earth is Saga's Lost Jerusalem.

I feel like now that the series is gaining traction with Nintendo's support, Square Enix may be more reluctant to hand over the intellectual property. Also Bandai Namco might also be putting up a fuss with the intellectual property since the have Xenosaga. Monolith Soft (particularly the translation team) may just be playing it safe to avoid any legal trouble.

Something I like to point out about is that I think that all the Xenogames to a extent are in fact connected. Wilhelm from XenoSaga bluntly stated he reseted different universe and Able appears in Xenosaga 2 and 3 as a child thus being the contact (It refers to individuals who come in contact with the Wave Existence ("God")." U-DO was the reincarnation of Wave Existence and thus proves that while not flat out saying it but does hint that Xenosaga and Xenogears are connected. Now in the case of Xenoblade series, I say that this was another universe that Wilhelm reseted. The biggest connection is that Conduit in Xenoblade 2 was found in Kenya which is in Africa. The Zohar was found as well in Africa thus supporting that Wilhem did reset the universe and created the Xenoblade games. I am not sure where Xenoblade X would take place, it could well be it's own game. You can correct me if I am wrong, but I theorized that while Wilhelm is responsible for creating Xenogears (or at the least reincarnating Able to Xenosaga) The Zohar Modifier which is the biggest plot key in Xenogears and in Xenosaga but call Zohar which have the power to go in different time and space and in Xenoblade 2, The Conduit looks a lot like the Zohar which can indicate that one of it found its way to Xenoblade 2. Also to point out again of resetting the universe theory, look at KOS-MOS from Xenoblade 2 artbook. One of the pages contain who created her and again confirms of reset, the original creators from Xenosaga were Shion Uzuki and Allen Ridgeley and guess who were the creators in Xenoblade 2? That's right Shion and Allen, even Vector appears again. So yes I believe that all the games (minus X) are connected just convoluted and less sense the Zelda's timeline.

It's probably the same reason that Takahashi and Saga took to it, along with other writers and artists in Japan (and elsewhere that Christianity never really took hold); which IMO anyway is the same reason anyone gets wrapped up in any sort of mythology, be it religion or literature. They're at minimum interesting stories that intertwine with history, and raise a lot of philosophical questions about power, authority, humanity, etc.
Add in, as they do, a heavy heaping of philosophy (with their favorite clearly being Nietzsche), and you can really start to dig into what makes humanity tick, why so many seem to desperately need, or rely, on a creator myth, and how basic human desires and traits can be, and have been, used throughout history to direct the development (or in some cases, actively inhibit that) of society. And why, sadly, it seems so easy to manipulate people into believing something that is either clearly not true (or at minimum totally unverifiable), and too frequently hateful and dangerous.
It grabs people because it's interesting no way around it. Particularly, I've always assumed, to cultures who may have had "religion", but not so much hierarchical monotheistic religion, and are more accustomed to spirituality being more philosophical and behavioral, and less based on submission and obedience. I would say we get the opposite here in the west with people just now learning about things like mindfulness and other holistic practices that are more typical in Asian cultures.
Personally, when I played Xenogears so many years ago, I was very religious, and honestly quite ignorant about history and religions role; the way the game dissected religion and laid bare how easily and readily the individual desire for something more could be abused, shook me to my core. I would say it pretty dramatically changed my perception of religion, and easily was a major contributor to me ultimately moving away from religion and belief entirely many years later.
It helped the stories of the xeno games are done so well, that I couldn't help but want to dive into the ideas introduced. Wiki "gnosis" and "zohar" and kiss the next few hours, days, even weeks, goodbye as you dive off the deep end of western religion, and begin to see how it's less some divine procession of revelation, and more a near cannibalistic interchange of various mythologies as they take what they want, leave the rest behind, and hoist it up as the truth. And also some Nietzsche to see it from the point of view of a philosopher who refused to take the assumptions of western religion as a given when asking questions about, well, philosophy; and how being able to do so exposes the fundamental limitation in potential of humanity that faith based religion often imposes, because of the constraints that the beliefs impose on possibility.

Me: What are Nopons and why do they exist in multiple universes?
Lux-Lux: Explains the whole damn univserse except that.
Last year I threatned you with an Elite Force of specially trained Nopon warriors if you did not make a video about them. And okay, I admit, they lost their way to your house. BUT they have spent 4 months studying maps and....walking... and definitely will find you this time.
If Lux-Lux is waiting for me to become a Patreon to take on this request, then please say so. Will give Lux-Lux gold for that.
So, make the video. Or else meh!
    Lastly: Meh meh meh.

Looking at those clips of Shulk. While I appreciate the more detailed character models, I liked the original art style a lot more. It looks like they aged him down by about 5-10 years.

So basically "KADO the right answer" is just a xeno ripoff.

    Zohar was Xenogears.
    Conduit is Xenoblade.
I don’t care if Kos-Mos is a connecting factor or a simple eater egg cameo, people need to stop calling it a Zohar unless XC called it a Zohar - and I definitely don’t remember XC calling it a “Zohar”.

Conduit is a more common generic term, whereas Zohar is only used in extremely specific situations. Zohar also just sounds more exotic.
In general, someone saying "conduit" could be refering to many different things. If someone says Zohar and they don't study religion or work in a church, then they're probably talking about Xeno.

@Rodney Leonard I wanna bet if they did have the copyright to Xenosaga they probably would’ve named the Conduit the Zohar.
