The line " and I will never give you those orders" oh man... Goosebumps 😅
As per opposition party, this statement was very dominating and promoting hitler ideology😅

He faught 5 deadliest wars in his service of 4 Decades . four wars are as follows :- World war 2, 1947 indo- pak war, 1962 indo - china war( but in this war he has sent to the feild lately after the war became cold), indo - pak war 1965, indo-pak war 1971.Also, he was the frist Felid marshal of india.
That's amazing.
@takumiusui6667 Thanks, Takumi. I'll do that 👍🏼
Really impressed by the memory of Achara , as a fan of Vicky Kaushal, sardar udham is the first role that comes to my mind as well. Very well done ❤❤
2:01 this line of this trailer gave me goosebumps because this line was written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji to inspire his Hindu and Sikh warriors against Mughals,
Its also good to see that Bollywood using prayers of Bravery shabads of Guru Gobind Singh Ji to show Indian warrior culture because in all previous years of Bollywood movies they show Sikhs as Jokers and Hindus as Bad people
yeah if you live in India opposite of what vir das once said then obviously you will have anti bollywood feelings no problem you can keep doing "ramdi rona" of it but pls do something about internal problems of your community brother or you also live in kannedda?
@@ArpitSgh36 in my community there is no problem because we 52% Sikhs consider as Sanatanis, so you can just do some 'Gand Marana' somewhere else and Vir Das is a Bhadwa guy
Yeah I am so happy with this change. Even though I don't understand Punjabi but I could make out that the lines were definitely taken from the words of Guru and it gave me goosebumps.
Also, I appreciate how these lines have the same sense in both the scenarios, Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Gen. Sam encouraging their men to fight for dharma.
I had no idea. Gave me goosebumps tbh.
@@rgodaseyou should watch chaar shahebjaade to know more about guru govind singh and sikh community history
Welcome Brandon 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! 😊
Viki's strong point is historical , true events movie , he really can get into the characters too well. When I first saw this I was like 😶😶speechless .
It looks like Jaby is creating his own cinedesi multiverse.
Bez new characters are debuting on this channel.
We need Andrew and Kristen's or steph's reaction on this. Guys vote so that they can see it.
I get the vibe that the new guest Brandon if he reacts to more videos/movies, will become one of the favorites among the Cinedesi family. He has that viewpoint which we love about our fav people on this channel 😊😊
Thanks for the kind words. It was a lot of fun! 😊
@@brandonshealy Hope you watch more and more videos/movies of this side of the world and enjoy the different flavors and magical moments our beautiful country offers( quite literally 🙃)
@@nishtha_pd I sure will 👍🏼
yeah actually i want that too
Yes he served till his last breath
A legendary person and idol of every defence aspirant
First lines of this trailor written and said By shru Guru Gobind Singh ji, when they fought against mughalz. Its goosebumps am for entire Sikhism, Punjabis and indians.

I am from patna , Guru gobind is here in patna. We are brave
Welcome Mr. New member to CineDesi family ... Liked your sensible talks, discussions, thoughts... Hope you will enjoy Indian movies.. bring him again...
There is lot of depth to the character/personality of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
He not just played crucial role in 1971 war against Pakistan to liberate Bangladesh but he also played very important role in World War 2. It was not just fucked off. While fighting from British Royal Army at Myanmar border, he got several bullets on his body while fighting bravely to capture / to take control, finally the outcome of World War 2 was freedom to many colonies of Britishers. Colonial Era got ended.
Happy Deepavali to All .....
Dang, that's a tough dude!
The 93000 pakistani soldiers surrender was fantastic in 1971 war
Sam Manikshaw had the charm and education of the English education. He was sophisticated. That is not depicted here for 2 reasons I think - one, Indianization and Nationalism. The country has wowed to remove all momentos of colonial rule and secondly, this is a Hindi movie. His way of talking was more Anglican if not Anglo-Indian. Another key fact unrealted to the previous points, Manikshaw laid the foundations of the National Defense Academy. His being Field Marshal in itself was huge !
Fatima is a director’s actor and for this role which she had her reservation initially placed full trust in Megna who decided on the path she wanted to take for Mrs G. It was more to capture the soul of Mrs G rather than imitating her. It was also a bold decision not to go for prosthetics but rather rely on make up manipulation. Fatima is also playing a younger Mrs G. Kudos to her for raising to the challenge and playing such a well known figure that people will be bound to compare. What matters is the gravitas and not so much the perfect look. Love her❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏💪💪💪
He was a Field marshal (You are an army officer till you die). Its a 5 star rank and has been given to only two Army officers till date.
He doesn't have the box office pull, but yes, a great actor!
Great introduction to Indian Cinema for Brandon, you guys should definitely revisit the URI trailer
Yes, I really enjoyed the trailer! 👏🏼
with due respect maam. field marshal never retires from army untill death .....
Sam Manekshaw retired from army and became field marshal, which means general for life.
Vicky Kaushal lives the such roles. All these years we saw some non actors become superstars, now its time the real actors take on the big stage.Vicky is in the league of one of the best actors in India. He did an awesome performance as Udham Singh as well
7:00 the movie doesn't take place in one time period, so it is better to cast younger actors, rather than to use cgi to di-age older actors.
Vicky Kaushal may not be the typical superstar from Bollywood. But among the younger lot, he’s the most versatile actor in India right now.
Vicky Kaushal is like Heath Ledger of Bollywood
I think whole cinedesi fam should react to this movie and trailer together .
Watch Sardar Udham as your first Indian Movie. It's bang on !!
Ok, it's on my list! 👍🏼
Field marshal never retires he stays at the post until his death.
Loving the new DP of CineDesi
Achara got the much deserved credit
I like him 🥂 please do more reactions with him. He enjoyed the trailer is one thing but the details Achara was talking about and his involvement with interest is something that I like. Welcome Brother on board 🛹
I truly appreciate that. I was a bit nervous, as it was my first day being a guest, but what a great trailer! 👍🏼. I'm definitely intrigued to learn more about his life.
@@brandonshealy I can bet you'll definitely gonna fall in love with us 😉
@@yuvrajgupta46 I believe it
Just loved the example Achara gave for Vicky kaushal’s acting class. Sardar Udham singh is the best acting performance one can do and still people have not seen that movie but achara giving the best example
Vikky kaushal is like Bateman of India changing into many roles. Sardar udham should have won an Oscar
After retiring as Army chief Sam Manekshaw was rather grudgingly anointed Field Marshal. Till death a Field Marshal remains a Field Marshal. So he lived in a lay back mountain town of Wellington. Grudgingly anointed because all ministers and bureaucracy were against him, despite he being a great soldier and patriot and a real great.
You can say that Sam Manekshaw was like Eisenhower and Montgomery of Indian Army..
Just to give reference to new members on this channel you can tell them Vicky Kaushal is young Christian Bale who transforms into the character's skin physically, mentally and emotionally
Seems like a great actor 👍🏼
@@brandonshealy he is heading towards that "great" territory with the kind of film choices he has made in his still young carrier
Really liked the reaction from both of you, Achara and Brandon!
But where is STEPH nowadays ?? Want more of her Reactions!
Thanks so much 😊
Sam Manekshaw served in the British Indian Army. He was trained by General Auckinleck. He faught in the world wars. He was very ethical and empathic towards POWs.
Bhagat Singh, Sam Bahadur, Brig Usman and APJ Abdul Kalam are four people I would have volunteered to give my life because there never was hate or chauvinism involved. These were people of pure intent, purity of karma, maturity and integrity.
Kudos to Vicky Kaushal, Meghna Gulzar, cinematographer, BGM, screenplay, editor, Art director and the entire team Kudos to you!!!!
He was in the army until he died. The rank of Field Marshall never retires. Some examples are air chief marshall Arjan Singh, field marshall Cariappa.
Thanks for that info 👍🏼
Field marshal means above army chief and until his death he will always remain it its like honour post
Vicky is excellent and will do a very fine portrayal. But I have to confess, having seen a few of Sam Manekshaw's interviews, in the trailer we don't get to see the sparkle in his eyes and his witty, humorous side. I do hope that gets captured in the movie. Looking forward to this film.
Field marsal never retrid
Yeah, they made him too serious, as if that's what people expect from someone like Sam. Like the audience can't handle a high-ranking military official being casually charming and humorous.
It's just a trailer, the movie might have those moments
He is one to whome even the prime minister had fear of her chair, that he might overtake her chair. He is the only one field marshal in indian history to whome even prime minister filling insecure
Surely going to watch this movie in cinema hall ❤
National Award this time for Vicky
Not single shoutout to Gurkha who played such a role for their history
Brandon, also see Uri, Another Indian military related movie which again stars, Vicky Kaushal...
Thank you. I'll do that 👍🏼
Two Movies Same production House Sambhadur and Pippa both movies mainly focus around the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation war...I wonder why I am worried this time...
I don't think they are just focussing on 1971 war here.
Field Marshal never retired until the death
he was awarded by field mashal ranl in indian army which is highest ever rank in indian arm force this rank is only 5 star general rank above then army chief and CDS and till now only 2 people received this rank in indian army and he was one of them he play important roll in bangladesh independence
Wow...jaby lost a lot of hair overnight 😮
😂
I saw the movie and I loved it and Vicky omg this actor did justice to the character ❤
Advice to Brandon...Don't make Jawan as your first Indian film that you are going to watch.
Thank you. What would you suggest?
@@brandonshealy My recommendations:
Social Comedy Drama= 3 idiots, Zindagi na Milegi Dobara
Biographical dramas - Dangal, Sardar Udhham.
Mystrey Thriller - Andhadhun, Drishyam series (Hindi), Tumbbad.
Action - RRR, KGF series.
Web show = The Family man, Mirzapur etc
There are many but you better ask Achara , she will tell you which film will be more suited to you. ✌
@@IAMSIKKU Thanks, man! I'll do that. Also, I will definitely ask Achara and Jaby 👍🏼
I also recommend: Bhodhidharma video by old compass
Achara, show Brandon that interview of SAM taken by his grandson... In 2002...
Thats also my point but i was motivated when i saw some of the reaction reviews they are commenting it was because that time prime minister was young but vicky does the character so alive so manerism acting that i double check original manekshaw documentary
Meghna Gulzar, The director who changed reality of Sehmat and the Author was so upset with her for changing Narrative and showing Indian Army and Agency in wrong way... Hope she doesnt repeat that again...
Both of their characters are not that old in this story. I think they both have been in their 40s when this story takes place. But I guess Vicky's character is going to cover story from his young age to a man in his 40s or 50s.
Talking about Vicky Kaushal, I'd really really suggest you to react on "masaan" movie. It's an all time favourite. Vicky had his first leading role in it❤
He is very talented actor
Uri,sadar udham singh and now this, cant wait ,i got to thewtres only for such movies
biggest surrender by pakistan army 93000❤️
Let me correct you there it was 96,000
That is the leadership.. great sir manekshaw..🙏
No, 0:50 he had given enough entertainment 🎭 to neighborhood before he retired, the most popular one is the iconic tragedy of 93000. 😊
Hiring is in full swing at jaby's office
I would love to watch his reaction to sardar udham
That would be cool 👍🏼
Your intro is too good.
Hi Brandon. Loved your reaction on the trailer. Hope to see you reacting to indian cinema on this channel in the future.
Hey, thanks so much 🙏🏼. It was a lot of fun. I hope they have me back!
@@brandonshealyyes we like it very much because it was geniune 🙏😊

Welcome brandon to cine desi family👪❤❤❤
Thank you!! 👍🏼
93K Soldiers of Pakistani Militant😅 who Surrender and New Country became called BANGLADESH.... 🇮🇳
He was a L.E.G.E.N.D ever ❤❤❤
No entertainment stuff new bro, Its Sir Sam Bahadur, this is all serious stuff.
Understood. Thank you. I learned a lot about him today 👍🏼
My hero
If your first Indian movie is Jawan, you'll never want to watch another Indian film again lol please show him Gangs or Haider or Andhadun.
Agree agree
and why so?
😂 Why is that? It seems like a good one.
@@brandonshealy I found Jawan to insult the audience's intelligence. You'll see all the dumb stuff that's in the movie lol Honestly there's hardly any good things I can say about the movie. Maybe some lighting and cinematography? But that's about it. The director also chooses to do ADR over sync-sound, which is just baffling and further hurts the performances. The film doesn't earn any of it's moments. There's multiple shots of people crying after a moment just to show the audience how sad this scene is lol it's laughable.
@@brandonshealy I would highly recommend the films of directors like Anurag Kashyap (Gangs Of Wasseypur, Ugly, Raman Raghav 2.0), Vishal Bhardwaj (Kaminey, Haider), Zoya Akhtar (Gully Boy, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara), and go from there :)
Haha...
So, the Big Boy is opening with the Boss and his master piece SRK..
Srk is the emotion of late 90'ss and genzz... .....
If u can connect to some1 around..??
His movie and dialogues arre very. Convienent way to show my rightness
Technically speaking the position of a Field Marshal is bestowed until death. Which means he was the commander of the Indian Army until his passage in 2008.
vicky kausal is exceptionally awesome
I had said this before & I am saying this again 'Sambahadur' is going for Oscars/National Award 😎 🇮🇳
Jai Hind ❤
Show him "SARDAAR UDHAM"
Great Manekshaw was huge probably the best India has seened.. Vicky Kaushal has really came very close to act like Manekshaw
Brandon should watch the Bollywood movies "KAPOOR AND SONS" and "SHERSHAAH" 🥰🔥
Thank you. I just made a note of them 👍🏼
I personally feel that this story makes more sense to capture the history of Independent India than something like Laal Singh Chaddha. I am confident Meghna Gulzar will do justice to this incredible man.
He played major role in guiding the Indian army in 1971 war which broke United Pakistan into 2 pieces - Bangladesh and Pakistan..
Field Marshal do not retire and this is an Honorary Rank for exceptional performance. He was a 5 star General. One of the finest generals in the world who defeated an equally professional and good army in 13 days and got them to surrender!
Nya bakra aaya hain guy's😅
Y'all should react to the new trailer for "APURVA" starring Tara Sutaria & Dhairya 🔥
In this movie director tried to demolished Indira Gandhi(first female PM of india) character......so you have to be know she is iron lady...most powerful prime minister (PM) of india..do some research on it❤❤❤❤
Our real life heroes are our Indian army soldier 🪖🫡🫡
That movie is Sardar Udham
He's not superstar level... But after release of this movie he wil b one of the top actor n SUPERSTAR mark my words.

It was in 1942 when the battle for Sittang Bridge took place against the Japanese in Burma The British Army went to war against Burma during that period. Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw was said to have been shot nine times. This took place when Captain Sam Manekshaw and his troops defended the bridge over the Sittaung river with great valour.
A Japanese soldier emptied nine bullets into Sam’s belly and lungs. It was impossible for anybody to survive in that condition. No one thought he would survive. Semi-conscious, he was taken to a hospital thirty-six hours after he was wounded. Sam would have died had not his faithful Sikh orderly, Sepoy Sher Singh, carried him in his arms and, collaring a doctor, forced him to attend to his wounds. The doctor had said he will not waste his time on Sam.
However, Sher Singh insisted and took the doctor to see the now-conscious Sam. "What happened to you, young chap?" the doctor asked. Given his witty behaviour, Sam said, "A bloody mule kicked me." The doctor laughed. "I see you have a sense of humour. You might be worth saving!" he said. He removed much of Sam’s intestines and stitched him up. This was one of many such incidents that spoke of his grit and determination.
As a military leader, Sam was able to demand courage from his soldiers because his own was never in doubt. Such was the respect Sam commanded in the military world that when he visited Nepal after liberating Bangladesh, King Mahendra conferred on him the title and sword of Honorary General of the Royal Nepal Army.
One true incident that I remember....
Sam Manekshow was in the hospital perhaps on death bed, when the then President of India Dr. Abdul Kalam went to visit him.
He asked Sam, what can I do for you?
Sam said, I have not received my pension for some time.
The president at once ordered and Sam's pending pension was released.
Sam gave it to a charity immediately.
He soon passed away!
What a great personality. Salute 🫡 to him.
No one step back ¡¡
Lots of love Brandon 💗
I appreciate that 🙏🏼
Why hasn't jaby reacted to this trailer?
