Thanks for the great video. At 6.53 you activated a pop up that you referred to as Fits and Fillets. How did you bring up that pop up selection box? It doesn't appear to be the s key trick.
I think he had it available on his "s key" for features. He has probably customized his, which is easy to do if you hit s key, then right click you will see customize option. That will open the option window and you can add whichever shortcuts you want to the s key popup.
How to set our won command list like L for line,M for move TR for trim C for circle etc.

Hey, great tut ! I have a question though... How do you get that quick command next to your cursor ?
Right Mouse click
"Hold" right mouse click and hover over the desired feature and then release.
How does he have the parts semi-rendered like that while working?
By selecting "RealView"

Hello!
For everybody interested in enabling the RealView Graphics.
IF you are using a professional graphics card (i.e. nVIDIA Quadro, ATI FirePro), the RealView Graphics mode should be enabled by default. Since you've asked the question, it seems that you use a non-professional graphics card, for which, the RealView Graphics mode has been disabled without an option to enable it.
It is still possible to enable the option by using a program called RealHack 3.7, which enables the RealView Graphics option for SolidWorks 2005-2014 (try "RealHack 3.7" on Google).
WARNING:
You should understand that enabling the RealView Graphics option adds a considerable strain on a graphic card - this is why it's NOT available as an option for non-professional graphics cards.
I'm telling you how to enable this, because I wanted the option very much and also, because I'm using RealView Graphics for more than two years with a GTX460 without any known problems.
When creating SolidWorks, Dessault Systemes intentionally blocked the feature to prevent damage to the non-professional graphics cards, so I personally don't advise you to piss against the wind - DSS is not sending you to catch whales, on a jet-sky.
Self documentation is STRONGLY advised - in other words: don't struggle to fry your gaming card.
Cheers.
P.S. I just love SolidWorks!
Thanks for the tip. I think many who have solidworks also have gaming graphics cards, some of which are highly capable, so it's sort of silly that this is blocked for those graphics cards.
I learn so much in 9 minutes I got a headache.
Five star
yea too instructive but you could say the shortcuts that you used when you get into a command.
One timesaving thing he neither did, nor talked about: he exits the sketch before choosing a feature based on that sketch.
That's not necessary for (say) extrude: you can choose the feature and it will automatically close the sketch.
(Since LONG before 2012 when this clip was made)
