  • Bill shows you how to install a Set of Four Eibach Sportline Springs on your 2015-2023 Mustang.

    Mustang Ecoboost:
    www.cjponypart...
    One issue some people have with the new 2015-2023 Mustang platform is the stance. One way to fix that issue is with a set of lowering springs. The Sportline set from Eibach will give your new Mustang a much more aggressive look as well as improve the handling. These high-quality springs will reduce squat during acceleration, limit nose-dive while braking, and reduce body roll on those hard corners. You will also see a reduction in fender-well clearance, making your Mustang look just as impressive as it performs when you install these versatile new Eibach Sportline Springs.
    Installation is fairly straightforward and can be done in an afternoon in your driveway or garage. Once we installed this set on our EcoBoost, paired with a set of aftermarket Niche wheels, the look of our 2015 was a drastic improvement from stock. We saw an inch in the front and an inch and a quarter in the rear.
    If you are looking to get rid of that annoying looking wheel gap as well as improve the handling of your 2015-2021 Mustang, than check out this great set of Sportline springs from Eibach.

    I have these springs and installed then myself. Was my first time and my 2019 gt pp1 looks awesome. Got the rtr front chin spoiler and the 1inch billett to. Fyi...make sure you get an alignment. Steering wheel was off and shifted to the right. Took it to the dealership and got it aligned. Now its centered and the car drives badass.

    My 18 rear sub frame doesn’t drop nearly enough to get the old one out. Had to remove the rear sway bar and loosen the rear bolts plus completely remove one other arm off the frame just to get it done. Might want to mention using thread locker on those caliper bolts too.

    The video is good until I realized you guys didn’t tighten the strut mount top nut twice, you were supposed to tighten after you release the springs. I did the same as in this video and now I have a noise coming from there and when I try to tighten the top nut it just spins. I guess I’ll have to take everything out again.

    Hi Bill,
    do you need adjustable control arms with these springs or can you adjust the camber on the mustang without them? How about the shocks, do they have enough travel left or are they bottoming? Are these working with the Ford Perfomance Street Handling Pack shocks? A lot of questions :)

    I just installed these springs on my 16 mustang GT base model and after installing it there was a noise coming down from below and it makes the cabin noise really loud. Whenever I drive on the freeway and hit those little bumps it goes away for a sec and then when driving straight again it goes back. I checked the clearance of my tires and they were not rubbing at all. Are those noises normal when you install these to our mustang?

    • @cjponyparts
      @cjponyparts  6 років тому

      NO they should not make any noise. I would go back and make sure the strut nuts are tight along with the sway bar end links, they are the most common causes of noises post install.

    Do you have to drop the subframe or can you just compress the spring and pull it out like that?

    • @cjponyparts
      @cjponyparts  4 роки тому

      Dropping the subframe is the easiest way to do it, there is very little room to get a compressor in there.

    Hi Bill,
    Got my springs and looking to do the install over winter. You say we need to use a drill bit to open up the rear bump stop a bit more so it fits. What size of drill bit did you use? I dont want to use something too small or too big and then ruin the bump stop.

    • @Zerogivengarage
      @Zerogivengarage 8 років тому +1

      +Kereshen Naidoo its very hard to ruin, you want something large enough to just remove a little material.

    I just did this instal on my 15 gt pp and the stock bump stop wouldn't come off because the top of the shock where you unscrew that nut has a lip making it impossible to get the bump stop off. Is it ok to leave the stock bump stop on?

      Dylan Larson did you have any problems after u did that ? Cause same happen to me

    • @dylanknows3147
      @dylanknows3147 7 років тому

      luis Velazquez no problems yet. From reading online people were saying the only thing that could potentially go wrong is that you can bottom out on the bumpstop. Which idk how that's possible but even if it is I'd rather bottom out on that bump stop then the end of the strut. Drive about 500 miles and haven't had anything like that or anything else happen.

    • @805luis805

      ben I would suggest finding a better shop, even dealers around here quote 4 hours for the entire job. It’s a 2 hour job if you have done it before.
