What is really incredible about 'Simple Minds' is that, as far as I understand it, a lot of their released recordings were recorded and sound engineered virtually live from live stage/ concert performances. You are only going to get this standard and quality of sound from some of the more sophisticated Rave Festival and EDM/Trance producers in much more recent times. And then you have the actual music itself, which is incredibly good.
A perfect example of that drum lick that made Phil Collins a household name...invented by the master, Steve Lillywhite, while working with...Peter Gabriel. Just wild to hear it so pronounced in this mix. Truly a spectacular album, all around. Lillywhite put these guys on the map, just like he did when he worked with U2. Memories truly are golden.

@@presleyslave yes they are.
Definitely not underated! they conquered the UK AND America with No1 hit records which is extremely rare for a UK/Scottish band. This track and Don't you forget about me featured on the iconic breakfast club movie.
When I first heard this tuune, I had to get the Album!! How Raw sounding they were then . . . . . . . Mesmerising Tuuune!!
One of the all time great driving songs. Especially at night on a dark countryside road.
Facts.
So true. New Gold Dream too.
The bass WTF!!!
The drum G!!!
The guitar wow!!!

OMG.... Time machine needed really bad😢. Always loved Simple Minds from the beginning even here up in a little Town south of of Norway in the early 80's.
Song transcends time...mercy
music genius I am now 78 and this music still drives me
Timeless. Classic. Nostalgic.
June 2023 still Ecstatic.
This great music debuted 1983.
Love Jim Kerr's powerful voice !
I like the black and white visuals by side has melancholic nostalgic effect. 🎤🎧🎶🎸🎹🥁
One of the best bass players the mighty Scotland has ever spawned and he gets to play a single note 500 times during this track - bet he looks forward to THAT at the gigs 😅
Bizarrely it works though …😮
