absolutely quality version of Waterfront
Hard to believe Waterfront is 39 years old and Verona was recorded 34 years ago. Still sounds so fresh and powerful- am bouncing around the house listening to it. Saw them last year in Dublin- absolutly brilliant. Hopefully they will announce a tour shortly.

I was there in Verona one of the two nights. I've seen some of the best live bands of the 80's / 90's in my life. This is the live performance n. 1 to me. It was absolutely fantastic !
Lucky you!! It must have been amazing live, such a great concert in such a great setting. Luckely we still have the full video here. I also saw them live a few times. They could perform like no other on stage, so powerful. They are still my no.1 as they were back in '87 when I was 18y old.
I remember playing their live double-album many times so loud in my room in the dark, it was magic. The day after the neighbors from a few houses down the road were always complaining about the noise..LOL

I was there that night. It was so awesome and I hold that memory so close to my heart. They totally rocked that that arena. Missed the last train home and had to hitchhike with a friend.

Definitely an awesome band, and I rarely use that over used word awesome, but I have always loved the epic sound of their beautiful full souled music.

I used to have this concert on VHS tape and I got my ex boyfriend into their music.. He loved Jim Kerrs highkicks and the way he moved his hands etc.. He had a amazing stage presence.. I took the ex to see them live in Glasgow around 2002..I was 22 and it was my first concert and still stands out as one of the best live concerts I've been too.. When we used to have a drink at the weekend's this concert on VHS would get played every other weekend lol.. Jim's energy on stage is awesome. x🎤💙🙏SIMPLE MIND'S are Simply amazing.. x

This version is from the live in Verona Concert, (recommended watch). Charlie Burchill & Mike McNeil do an excellent acoustic version of the song in the public square in Verona. An awesome song. 😎😎😎

Been listening to this for years and bought the album in the early 80s, never fails to make me smile. Superb live performance and they’re just so top notch and brilliant.
Ive seen them many, many years ago as 'support act' for Peter Gabriel in Utrecht, Vredenburg... They were very young like boys but they were very, very GOOD....
these at that time that I'm in a good mood when I get up in the morning with a good cup of coffee is the rest that goes with no comment .. I love the intro ... It takes me to the guts .... especially that i am not live .... these my morning wake up ...

THIS was the first song I ever heard from Simple Minds. From memory, I believe it was on one of the "cheapie" CD's you get from petrol servos. NO MATTER. LOVED THIS SONG from the moment I heard it! AND, have love SIMPLE MINDS from that very first day!
