Hi Mark. Got to agree with you ,that is a stunning view. Nice project well made a solid and sturdy pergola you done a good job there mate. Last nights Shed Space , Absolutely loved it mate roll on next Thursday. Take care mate👍
Loved last night . Rob and I are amazed at how much fun we are having, we laugh so much I hope it the same for you as well. It’s like a great evening out with some good friends with all of you. Your contributions is what makes it. This was a good pergola very pleased with it.
I have always loved the way pergolas look but I have a hard time investing in an outdoor structure that doesn't give protection from rain. Can you help me understand what benefits they provide beyond aesthetics?
They are essentially garden structures or furniture which help to create zones in which to plant or use as a different space. It’s definitely not about rain cover although you could put a roof on them.
Thanks now i need a sds drill, My house has exposed stone walls, so do you reckon it’ll go through Welsh stone walls??? It’s been a nightmare to hang a picture and clock 😂😂
Oh no 😩🤣 yes an sds drill is a completely different beast to a normal combi or hammer drill. I’m not suggesting you should buy anything. Thanks for sharing with us last night. Mark
Morning Mark.......See....Posh Dorset! Truly....thats a great view......Thanks for the content and the fab funny chat last night...... By the way how do you ensure you are putting the cross members in square? Do you just use a framing square or 3-4-5 it? .....Also do you vary the spacings of the cross members for differing Pegola's or have a "standard" prefferred setting.......this is a Project on my "to do"list along with dozens of others!...cheers bud
Morning Adam I use both methods for squaring. With regards to the spacing I generally work to 500mm centres but really it’s up to you as to what looks best on your job. Hope this helps
Where do you get 6x6 posts from, I checked Travis Perkins and a local merchant to me, but I can't find these exact post sizes online. I guess I'll keep trying...
Wonderful job.. and what a view! Must be a happy client.. see you all on the next shed space livestream😎
Great job Mark. Fantastic location to be working in. See you and Rob next Thursday on the live stream.👍
Thanks Jim see you then
Another great job, enhanced the garden really well & what a view! I've had that Bosch SDS drill for a number of years, fantastic bit of kit 👍
The sds plus drill is a great asset I don’t always use it but like any tool it’s about having the right one at the right time.
Thanks as always 😃
Well done Mark.
That is a nice view of the English countryside. The livestream was quite entertaining, I am glad I could make it. Cheers
Very glad you could make it. I’m very fortunate to live where I live.
Speak soon

@@KAPWoodworkandbuilding I had a quick look around and realized that if the slats are positioned right they create continuous shade underneath
Good video again
Thanks Kevin
