Will all due respect, Mr. Astley, the rickroll only works because of that voice, that hair, that effortless sway, that trench-coat and that catchy tune. And because you embraced it, laughed with us, and you were completely authentic and genuinely talented, you’re now a multi-generation icon and a legend. We literally wouldn’t get this from any other guy.

Back in 2017 the Foo Fighters were playing at a fest or something in Japan and Rick Astley was at the same fest (or playing nearby or something). Never once did I experience all the pop ups that wouldn't stop unless I restarted my computer. But I still love that song and video and love getting rickrolled lol.

I LOVE Melissa McCarthy totally going nuts over Rick Astley & his trench coat. My dad introduced me to Rick(as a child) & I've been super into his music ever since. He still sounds incredible.
I remember when Rick Rolling began. It was quite literally the first thing UA-cam was ever really used for. Some of them were funny. It is something kids today have no clue about. And it was very faint and you realize....boom you've been Rick Rolled. It honestly made my day cause it took me back to when I was a teenager.

Actually I just remembered when they asked Waterman who was the real talent out of all the ones he made famous he said Rick, ha said he tried to convince him to go for the fame but he just didnt want it then. I respect him for that
I will never get sick of Never Gonna Give You Up! Rickrolling isn't super common anymore, but every time it happens, I listen to the whole song... Sometimes twice! 😁 UA-cam ads have killed the surprise element though...
We had DJ of the day for our work bathroom- you could send your playlist over for all the songs that would play that day. Yeah, definitely got Rick Rolled at work. It was hilarious- no matter the timing- it was always playing the bathroom. Legitimately, it brought so many smiles and such laughter to work... it's a great thing.
It has NOT stopped. I got Rick-Rolled last week. The evolution was this. No one believed this babyfaced, lanky Brit was singing like that and then the whole ''whiteboy shuffle'' thing didn't help. His songs played endlessly for a few years in the 80s to the point everyone knew every word to them and this was po-dunk USA, I'm talking about. Frankly, he wasn't sexy then. I always said he needed to grow into his looks, that when he was older it would be a bonus to be so babyfaced. I was right. Things have changed a bit. Looking good, Mr. Astley. Looking good.
It's anything that promises to be something you want to see but ends up being a link to Rick singing that song. I once did what I thought was the ultimate Rick-Roll - gave my sister the LP for her birthday! Sadly at that point she hadn't heard of Rick Rolling so my super excited joyful grin turned into a totally bummed sigh as she played the whole damned record and said thanks for it...
People now only think of it as a joke but in the 80’s the song was a huge worldwide hit. In 25 years time what people think as cool music now will be regarded in the same way!

Rick Ashley is the nicest and most humble person.
He's never old
I will never get sick of Never Gonna Give You Up! Rickrolling isn't super common anymore, but every time it happens, I listen to the whole song... Sometimes twice! 😁
UA-cam ads have killed the surprise element though...
I was tense through this whole thing, especially when the other 3 mentioned they didnt know what rick roll was; just incase there was a demonstration
Melissa McCarthy is so awesome. "That should be a documentary!!"
His voice is so goddamn velvety.
Wow, I'm surprised he's still alive.
Love Mr. Astley and Melissa as well!
Rick's such a good looking guy. He's aged very well.
His hair has not faded at all
He is so handsome. Amazing voice.
It would’ve been so funny if they had rickroll’d this video 😂😂
Melissa McCarthy is so awesome. "That should be a documentary!!"
2:43-2:45 - Eddie is like ".......should I? just a quick look... oh maybe it's not the best idea"
I thought Rick-rolling was when you edit a video to change the anticipated scene into never gonna give you up?
me too mate.
It is. Emma got a computer virus. She wasn't Rick-rolled in the way everyone understands it.
@@lhop6235 No she didn't. That's what Rick Rolling started out as, in the early 2000s.
Haley Calverley yes! I guess most people didn’t know that the prank existed before UA-cam.
People now only think of it as a joke but in the 80’s the song was a huge worldwide hit. In 25 years time what people think as cool music now will be regarded in the same way!
Rick Astley is looking fantastic!!
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Emma Stone doesn't know a lot about computers
He's so damn good!
I Rick Roll my family every now and then by casting the video from my phone to various devices around the house much to their annoyance. It's my signature "peace out" after they think I have gone to bed. mwahahahahaha
Love the fact he’s from near me and he’s so famous!!
guh daaamn he aged like fine wine!
He's one of our absolute favorites.
They should of Rickrolled us during the clip
it's a dead meme though, so I'm glad they didn't
We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see
Lol
