Loving how Rick is having such a huge and popular and respected resurgence. The Rick Rolling was lotsa fun and kept him in the popular culture... but the man is a proper vocalist and can really bring it. This makes me so happy for him. And he seems like a genuinely nice human. 🙂❣🤘🤟🎤🎼🎸
If you've never seen Rick Astley live... Do yourself a favour and go and see him. Amazing voice and Brilliant with the crowd. The blokes an absolute legend.
I second that. I'm good mates with his long-time keyboardist Rob and was a few centimeters away from Rick when he played at Rob's wedding. He's also always gives credit to his band/singers - they are like a family.
He's a brilliant singer, huge vocal range, requires no auto tune, and has that "I'm a geek and loving it" vibe about him. I'm just so proud that people like Dave recognise him for who he is.
Absolutely. I was too young to see the Smiths but became a huge fan on the Smith's in the 90s because of the great bands from the north of England. I was blown away by how much he loved the songs. Became an instant fan. Great fella.
Blimey Chris, you just got up !! Look at that barnet !! 😆. I was in my early 20s in the 80s when I first heard of Rick Astley and of course "Never Gonna Give You Up" arrived, loved it and still do. Rick is amazing, didn't realise he was such a talent on the drums and guitar, what a ledge !!
I have heard an interview with Dave Grohl. He told, they were preparing a Cover for a BBC Series... They somehow got to Never gonna give you up and found some similarities to "Smells like teen spirit" and merged it. To me, as a drummer, I mostly recognize it through the Beat Taylor played during that Live Version. That's very similar to what Dave did on the Nirvana Song...
I saw the food gig and have to say it's amazing. They did amazing with the arrangement but he did so well singing it out of the blue and I get the swearing I probably would have done too lol
@rickastley i live on the south coast, born here, and my nan moved back up to newton-le-willows (she grew up along with my grandad in earlstown) and bought ricks parents house in park road north, jut before he hit fame... rick was at school with my cousins. i am positive i met rick back than.
I remember Rock from the 80s with the Iconic coat, beloved by Yuppies. He has really come of age in a great way.Chuffed he's back and wowing us 😯😯😯😯🥰🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👏👏
Chris Evens appears to be suffering from a bad case of accelerated aging. If he manages to reach the grand old age of 70, he will probably end up looking older than Tutankhamun's Mummy.
Oh wow, this is the first time I've seen Chris Evan's in over a decade... He's defo aged a bit... Yes I know obvy, it's been over 10 years but damn, no more ginger...
All those that made fun of Rick back in the day are eating it now because he’s grown to be better and better looking and look at that hair!! Can guarantee those that mocked him look like crap now..

I was just saying that tonight. He's cool with the "joke" of Rick-rolling...he's killing it these days
If you've never seen Rick Astley live... Do yourself a favour and go and see him.
Amazing voice and Brilliant with the crowd.
The blokes an absolute legend.
I recommend the UA-cam vid he mentioned about the foo fighters.....magic

I was impressed too I would love to see him perform live
Yep, he’s an excellent performer!
of course, he's never gonna let us down
Rick down to earth , humble and a great musician and artist.
It's funny that he said he wasn't a natural front man, cos at glasto he was one of most natural front men at the festival. He won Glasto. 🏆
so true
Well, the people who have to actually work on something often end up being better at it.
He's a brilliant singer, huge vocal range, requires no auto tune, and has that "I'm a geek and loving it" vibe about him.
I'm just so proud that people like Dave recognise him for who he is.
He was brilliant at Glastonbury
The Smiths set with Blossoms was legendary aswell.
He shocked me at how much he loved the songs. I am officially a fan.
“Exsqueeze me” I never knew he was so rocker, so cool, and also so adorable 🥺😍😍😍
Rick Astley’s version of Everlong is mad impressive. I was pleasantly surprised to here it.
Chris and Rick are the same age… absorb that fact as you watch this video 😂😂😂
Thinking the same thing... Chris looks like an 80 year old Jimmy Saville (yeah I said it...!)
What?! Holy cow!
Rick did great at Glasto. Quality 👍
Rick and Blossoms singing the Smiths brilliant. The best
Did upu watch Glastonbury
Rick was fantastic when the Foo's got him onstage at Reading 2019 too. Brilliant!!

He’s a great guy and great singer, versatile vocalist
Rick is an amazing artist !
Rick is a year older than me and his music is part of my youth too. Such a nice man. And he's still got the great hair!
His Smiths covers are fantastic.
Absolutely. I was too young to see the Smiths but became a huge fan on the Smith's in the 90s because of the great bands from the north of England.

Rick Astley's inner monologue : *Don't say Chris looks like a live action Beaker! Don't say Chris looks like a live action Beaker!*
"...Muppets. . ."
Bahahahahahahahaha ... Oh yeahhhh ... great call !!!
Have no way of describing what he looks like.🥴🤯
I was thinking Father Jack from "Father Ted"
@@excelents Feck! 😂
Two of the kindest sweetest drummers in rock history. Rick and Dave.
Always had a great voice even though I wasn't personally into his stuff. So glad things are kicking off for him again! 😊
Love Rick Astley, he is cool, no doubt.
Nice to see Adam Savage as well.
Good observation Watson

That was so awesome! Foo Fighters know Rick is the real deal. Down to Earth humble, talented artist. His best work is probably in front of him.
I prayed so hard for you to make a come back, when you opened up for foo fighters I almost died 🎉🎉🎉❤ God bless you
Rick, I love you! Met you a few times at our restaurant in Banbury as the studio owner from Aynho brought you in. You were so kind and amazing!
Chris Evans is such a great interviewer . Even better with such an interviewee as Rick
I saw the food gig and have to say it's amazing. They did amazing with the arrangement but he did so well singing it out of the blue and I get the swearing I probably would have done too lol
I think Rick Astley must have been cryogenically frozen, as he looks exactly the same as he did in the 80s.... Lucky bugger, and yes I am jealous:)
Selwyn Jones High & Selwyn Jones Lower, did security at them schools back in 1987, when Rick ruled the world, and he still does ;)
Rick is legendary a great performer and player I have been to a couple of his shows and the man is a total crooner a national treasure
@rickastley i live on the south coast, born here, and my nan moved back up to newton-le-willows (she grew up along with my grandad in earlstown) and bought ricks parents house in park road north, jut before he hit fame... rick was at school with my cousins. i am positive i met rick back than.
What a fantastic fella. Proper Northerner.
Amazing voice
Chris looks like the guy who drank the wrong cup of Christ in Indiana Jones
Chris Evans (b 1 April 1966), age 57

Rick Astley is the same age as Chris Evans. Just take that in a minute.
Mind blown.
WHAT ! That's Chris Evans !!!
How can these two be the same age, (57) Chris looks like he could be his dad.🤷♂️
Exactly my thought!
Wait! Rick Astley is 57?! No way!
Rick Astley: the really only singular-black-voice on the earth 🇻🇪
'In the middle ground of nothing' amazing line
Rick is a legend
For the avoidance of any doubt, 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' is actually 'Never Going to Give You Up' in reverse.
Dave Grohl all but admitted it.
got halfway through before I realised that was Chris Evans. Blimey. Thought I'd gone to seed......
Give that host a comb!!
Chris Evans really aged since the last Avengers movie
That version is great. Would be cool if they'd actually record it together because there isn't a good audio quality version of it.
Wow. He's really cool.
Rick looks 😎
I thought Rick was sat with Albert Steptoe at first. wow.
nice video. why doesnt it continue and have Rick talking about glasto?
Chris Evans 57 years old........looks like 87
Rick Astley is also 57 years old. The contrast is rather dramatic.
I haven’t see him for years. Chris evans that is. I thought it was an Andy Warhol tribute act
@@gingerwaynoshaha 😂
Was just thinking the same.
@@gingerwaynosdoc from back to the future
I've always liked that damn song anyway
So much expertise and ability, and so little ego about it
Bloody state of that Evens now…..looks like the mad professor!
both are 57yo.....i guess evans must have had fewer early nights.....
I'll have what ever Rick's having....
It's possibly hair dye.
😂
I don’t think Chris Evans had any sleep in the 90’s 😂
It’s the Jimmy Savile look!
Billie Piper drained him.
Typical Brit Fucking Marvellous loved that video when Rick sang with the Foos in Tokyo
Rick looking great, Evans has made me feel proper young looking as he looks older than me even though he is 12 years younger. WTF .
Haven't seen CE in quite a while - is everything OK?
Rick - self-aware.
WOW.... chris evans looks like Beaker from the muppets🤣 gone grey/white🤣
👍💓💓💓SEI SEMPRE SOLO TU FANTASTICO E GRANDE ARTISTA ETERNO AMORE TI AMO 💘💕💘💕💕💘💋💋💋💜🤎🖤💙🩵💓💓

Steptoe really sounds like Chris Evans .
Superb Rick Astley…what the hell has happened to Chris Evans? 😮
These guys are the same age! Lol
Que tinteta pego Mex Urtizberea!
Chris Evens appears to be suffering from a bad case of accelerated aging. If he manages to reach the grand old age of 70, he will probably end up looking older than Tutankhamun's Mummy.
Two Warrington boys
You wouldn't believe that Rick and Chris are the same age, Chris looks a bit rough.
Evans looks old AF remember him having ginger hair not white lol
Something no quite right there?
Which comedienne does chris evans look like here?
Joey Ramone, Rick Astley, and Dave Grohl all started as drummers and became front men?
Wow Rick and Jimi 😂
Chris, your hairs sticking up Chris.. Chris Chris.. your hair mate
I wanna get Rick Grohl'd.
Chris Evans has lost the battle with age 😅
I'm the 1300th like lol
Poor Chris, looking worse for wear. Has a true radio face now.
Like Rick, loathe and depise Chris Evans.
Spot On
Just a flippant remark................These two men are the same age!!
Chris babes, what do you think you look like?
What’s going on with Chris evans hair ??? Both the same age!
Jeez, what's going on with Chris Evans hair?? Miss the red hair.
What happened to Chris Evans? Is he unwell?
He sounds and looks worse for wear?
Both grew up in warrington
Newton le Willows (where Rick is from ) is part of St Helens
Rick seems like a real good guy, glad he’s getting some respect these days. He was great at Glastonbury!
IT Was just Sad
Jeez, Chris looks seriously OLD.
Is chris evans ok? He looks unwell
Chris Evans grew up not far from where Rick grew up.
Jesus Christ, Chris Evans looks like my grandma (gawd rest her soul)! Ageing needs to be banned by the UN.
Evans sort your hair out and have a shave please, or go the full Colonel Sanders, with a chin beard, and give me some fries with that.
