This has been super helpful. I’ll try these out, thank you
Great video! Fast and too the point!
One more thing - on the VQ engines it's not uncommon for the gaskets on the oil transfer ports at the front of the block to fail. If this happens oil pressure to the actuators is reduced as oil bleeds off into the pan and even though the solenoid is working fine the actuator won't have enough pressure to operate. Rears it's head when oil is hot and thin.
Thank you for sharing
Dude I've got some weird stuff going on. I have 4 cam actuators solenoids, 3 of them are delivering 12 volts The other one has no voltage. Any info much appreciated
I have both them codes rn on nissan maxima3.5 2005 any help
if its a slipped timing chain or belt : how do I check that
Good vid, thank you
Currently trouble shooting this on my Xterra. I replaced both cam sensors, both vvt solenoids, changed very low and drity oil from previous owner, and ran engine flush moly through and did another oil change. Does this code usually come back right away? After clearing the code, mine will work without throwing a code for about a week of moderate drive, then come back. Having trouble figuring out why it comes back but only occasionally. throws both p0021 and p0011 but sometimes only p0021. Any ideas?
my QX70 is doing the same thing.
My 2005 Infiniti g35x check engine light just popped up. Scanner read code p0011 & p0021 the engine is a little Whaley I was told I need passager and driver side camshaft sensor? Any help please
Thats the left and right cam sensors. They are reletively east to change
I just bought an 03 maxima with P0011 and P0021, there's a sensor unplugged in the engine bay and the car won't go above 3k rpm's. seems like it's in a limp or failsafe mode? I'm not sure because i've only worked on ford mod motors before now
If it’s throwing p0011 and had an engine knock could the vvt solenoids still be a fix? Changed oil, no difference, I’m thinking it’s gunna end up being the timing chain
main tensior, gallery gaskets, or cam sprokets
is it worth having it fixed.?i can't personally do it. but for a 2012 nissan Sentra the p00111, p0302 p0300 code came on. are they worth fixing or should i sell the car
There very cheap fixs
I use FIXD code reader and got a p0011 took out old vvt replaced it motor still nocking bad
not sure if the VVT was the problem . what do you think i missed?
knock ive been reading might be crankshaft sensor
This happened because I let my oil go way too long without being changed and it went real low😢
It was neglect due to financial issues I've never done this before😮😢 and I think I could have blown my engine. Thank God I didn't. But now since I changed the oil the light still on and the computer diagnostic still reads p0011. How do I know if I fixed the problem?
If you clear the code and it comes back, the VVT solenoids and the screens are likely clogged up and need to be cleaned.
@@HVAC_Mechanic ok, thanks, but can only a mechanic clear the code?
Actually I did find the method to turning it off👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 yay for UA-cam University!!!😅 and thanks again for your response!
@@rhondarudkin8863 how did you figure it out?
@@713braulio there's a video out there where the guys explains it so well. It took me a few tries bc your timing of what you do has to be spot on or it doesn't work. I'll see if I can find the video and share it... brb
