    This procedure, even for a QUARTER sized abscess on my cat was over $530!! This video is SUPER helpful, because of how it's simplified and the needed precautions! Thanks so much!!

    I’ve been treating my cats abscesses for years and have used similar techniques. My trouble is some of my cats fight me especially when I’m trying to trim the fur around the site. I’m on my own so no help. Also just wanted to say love your videos and your pet care info was excellent I printed off a bunch of copies and gave them to people who can’t afford vets. I’m from Australia. Thanks once again ❤❤❤❤

    Just been told vets in the UK have been on the local news stations over charging the public for treatments .

      Do you actually lance the abscess yourself? I'm asking bc my dog has 1 about baseball sized, getting him to the vet is nearly impossible as he's not socialized and we couldn't even get a muzzle on him last time so I'm probably going to have to do it myself and nervous about it and just wondering if I'm overthinking or if it's a fairly non serious procedure to do yourself, thanks for any info or tips

    Always take my cats to vet when they have a lump to be sure it's not cancerous and they usually get antibiotic. I've found the abscess drains spontaneously after about two days.

    My cats would never let me do this and I'm alone without any help. But I always treat their abscesses by just soaking them with camomile tea, twice or three times a day. This usually makes it dry up within a few days. Additionally I give them arnica globules D6 which is great for abscesses.

    • @Workwithwhatyoucan
      @Workwithwhatyoucan 12 днів тому

      Hi there's so many different types of the arnica d 6 is it oral or do you put it on their skin or is it a pill or a spray can you reply and tell me exactly and where to get that thanks by the way.

    • @Magic-komplexDe
      @Magic-komplexDe 12 днів тому

      @@Workwithwhatyoucan I use D6 Globuli. Start with 3 Globuli every 15 minutes for an hour. After that, 3x3 per day. Just stick them in their mouth. Helps really fast.
      I get mine at the pharmacy, but you can order it online as well. Just always use Globuli, because sprays and other stuf is mixed with alcohol which would make your pets sick.

    What about bathing the wound in Epsom salts? It worked pretty well on our cats, particularly if the injury was on a paw and we could soak it 15 minutes or so.

    Thank you for your at home holistic pet care advice! Definitely empowering information to have!! My cat has had an abscess for 3 weeks or so that has not fully healed but has drained quite a bit and lessened in swelling. Also has had colloidal silver internally and externally. Wondering if a vet trip and antiobiotics would be necessary at this point or could i use this protocol at this later stage ...?

    I figured that was the way to do it.. i use fish antibiotics amoxicillin. Can you use iodine solution? Going to see if that chloroxidine is on Amazon or I'll use saline solution. My cat has an abcess on his cheek still hasn't opened up and he vomited twice, it acared me. I put a warm salt y washrag on it. Waiting for him to scratch it

      that's what I was thinking. once you order Clindamycin for the first time at a vet, you can just call without getting the animal seen just call and re order the same thing but you need to go to the vet and get it once first. Clindamycin is the antibiotic i give mine because the dr prescribed it for my cat's abscess now I just call and re order have it delivered to my p o box or house

    Tuesday 26 of this month (4 days ago) i was attacked by a stray pitbull while walking my 10 lb morkie, we both got bited, my little one got her tail / bottom torn apart, I had to go to the hospital so I took her to the vet the next day, but they only holded and saw her, gave her medication and that was it, they did not clean her wound, I asked for how to clean her at home but only said "water ", ive been trying my best but the wound it's smelly and producing yellowish liquid, plus a white tissue hanging from wound. I cannot afford to take her to another vet, that visit and medications were $100 and i'm already in debt about my own treatment and it's also difficult to clean her, since my left hand it's in bandages, i would appreciate a little advice, anything that could help my little one

    • @Grogu01
      @Grogu01 Місяць тому

      That wound sounds infected. And I’m 100% sure if they told you water they were maybe annoyed you declined the treatment they recommended you. I don’t agree and I get money is tight. You need to do the same thing he just mentioned in the video and ask for antibiotics. Clean the wound by flushing and wiping the area gently with gauze. Wear gloves and keep the area dry. Whatever you do, do not apply ointment or creams on it

      @@Kylie-oz3ks forgot to ask but if u don't mind, how much does that cost?

    • @Kylie-oz3ks
      @Kylie-oz3ks 23 дні тому +2

      @PitBullet I am in Australia, and it cost $280AU. The vet made a vertical nick in the centre of the lump, put some pressure to make it ooze, and then used saline in a syringe over it to flush it. Leave it open to drain and bathe with salt water twice a day. Trying to get as much puss out as possible was her homecare. Best of luck with your dog.

      buy cheap nail caps on temu nail caps and put the spot of glue in the nail caps and slide them on get all 4 sizes so you can choose the right size so you don't hurt them. you don't want to put on the wrong size and cause damage serious damage so get all sizes and you can easily see which ones fit right not too big not too small it's easy and they can't scratch you then.
