A lot of people play Qd3 protecting the pawn with the queen, to counter that you strike with d4 if they take you skewer their queen and pawn with the light squared bishop and then fork the king and rook once they move the queen. And if they played Nc3 instead of g4 you need to prepare d4 with c3
