Oh well, that explains why it looks expensive! Is the middle a windows? Why clear?

That was a good guess Brandon! The transparent middle section allows to see how far the connecting duct has been inserted while the structure allows for pressure resistance. All in all just a connector, but seen the features and manufacturing quality, wonder how many R&D hours have been spent on it
