Pretty dang fun for a demo. I was so used to your movements being limited in the office chair, I was thrown off by your drastically increased mobility in the latter half of the demo. Platforming seems solid, but the writing is the star here. It's got some great humor from what's shown here, I'll be keeping an eye out for their Kickstarter.
I love that transition from the office arc to the star arc, that feeling of "Holy crap there's more game in this game!" and being able to go back and right wrongs.
This is honestly a damn good-looking game. I like the idea of starting off as a kind of life simulator then transitioning into an action platformer if you went down the "Fine. I'll do it myself" route. 10/10 would lock Cynthia into a bad route regardless of player's choice. Also, is it just me or does the policewoman feel like she was based off of Judy Hopps from Zootopia but more manly?
There's definitely a moral theme of some kind with how the office routes play out and with how even the police's bullets are limited by the law. The office routes are probably about how the "kicking the can down the road" mentality of putting off problems doesn't really solve anything, as the problem just gets bigger the longer you wait to solve it, and the police chase section is probably about how you shouldn't get so caught up in following rules that you let opportunities pass you by.
The part where you read your presentation made me spit my tea everywhere. This is why i watch your playthroughs never a dull moment. Keep up the 👌 work.
_Break the rules and save the world_ So much of this happily reminded me of the Office Space movie. Good dark satirical humor showing the absurdity of not thinking for yourself and living your life according to others' expectations. I'm happy that the puzzles and platforming is not ultra difficult, making it more fun to play. Look forward to their Kickstarter and hope to see the full game one day.
You know, for all that amazingly well done genre switch and interressing start of a game that it was, I'm still triggered by those red coins uncollected because of that ball and chain... and I don't know what these coins even do. On the plus side, 55 extra years after losing immortality isn't so bad of a lifetime, so good job on that presentation.
This is very creative, funny and relatable somehow, it has my full support, it can improve on the platforming sections tho by a lot, but its so unique that I fell in love with the premise and wanted to see more
FIGHT DEATH or MAKE COFFEE. SAVE THE WORLD or LIVE OFF DEATH'S DIME. I'm not sure if the absurdity and comedy comes from the characters insisting the second is the only valid choice, or how this is barely exaggerated from the real world. Or the comedic writing.
With the police officer seeming to have some degree of common sense, I wouldn't be too surprised if she actually became an ally at some point. It would make for a good character arc for her as well.
This was perfect lol, the office part was beautiful and the transition to the adventure part was so good. Also the gags on the people and fighting is so great
