Wow I was not expecting the mushroom to turn all black and gooey with literal ink. No wonder where the name came from lol

Wonderful. If you place the forest poster further away, it will blur and look more realistic. Shooting RAW also helps, so you can bring down the highlights a bit whilst retaining the inky shadows. Worked for me. Thanks for this nice video!

Actually you can even cook these and eat them, if you are 100% sure that they are shaggy inkcaps and not a similar looking species

The inky cap mushroom is edible unless you drink an achololic beverage with it. It can cause you to be very sick, but wait at the least 3 days after consumption before having an achoholic drink

These grew out of the pile of cat litter that I've been dumping in the woods

I found one today that had a hollow stem and had a red stem right under cap ( the rest of the stem was white tho )
    Is that a different one?
Also it didnt dissolve so chaotically ( it had a nice and even black ring of this liquid on the top )

As the cap curls up, torque allows the water to be released, and with that water goes the spores - the "ink", if you do please.
Mushrooms are from outer space idgaf what anyone says
