- Whitespot is a 18 month old wild vixen, daughter of Scar and Scarlett who have featured in previous videos. This is a compilation video of some of her visits during 2022 to a house and garden in Birmingham, UK.
Filmed on Z-Cam E2-M4, Panasonic GH5 and GoPro Hero 8 cameras in 4K UHD.

I live in a very rural area with lots of foxes, coyotes, skunks, raccoons, etc. One old fox followed me home from my acreage one day and came in through the cat doors in search of an easy meal. That Winter she moved inside full-time and slept either on a blanket by the back door or behind the computer where it was toasty warm. A baby skunk named Susie, who had been abandoned by her mother and bullied by her siblings, also came to live indoors. Never once was there a problem. Susie slept with the kittens, the fox stayed close to home, probably because she was old and had had a tough life. I learned far more from the fox, skunk, and cats, than they ever learned from me. I learned that sentient beings come in all sorts of forms.

Makes me sad to think people kill these beings for fun and sport. I do get animal population control is important, but it makes me sad nonetheless.

We had a vixen who was like this, back in the late 1990's. She would come round during the day and hang out with us. She was besotted with my late father and would go on walks with him, leading the way. One day, she left her cubs with us to look after while she took a few hours nap in a neighbour's garden.

The real animals are those people who chase these beautiful animals until they are exhausted and then set the dogs on them. Wicked evil monsters.

Some of those of greatest concern, owing to them being zoonoses (i.e. can be transferred to humans), include Toxocara canis (dog roundworm), Echinococcus multilocularis (hyatid worm) and Trichinella spiralis (muscle worm)
I love it how she just very carefully stepped inside and respected his home. When she got the food, she went outside to eat it. These creatures are amazingly intelligent
Intelligent no doubt, but that not why it took it's food out to eat it. You are humanizing animal behavior when it has nothing to do with the animal trying to be courteous.
she went outside because she is still skittish and doesn''t want to be captured. When they eat they know they are vulnerable so it is best to eat where she can escape.

They are very intelligent. That being said, we should be anthropomorphic about animal behavior.
I live in the country and there quite a few native whitetail deer in the area. I've managed to make friends with a big doe. Every evening she comes to greet me on the back deck. She will hang out for a while and watch whatever I am doing. She usually gets an apple or a carrot and a head scratch, visits for a while and rejoins the rest of the herd. This has been going on for about a year. I'm hoping she will bring her new fawn for a visit in the future.
You think you are helping that doe? You are only hurting it by making it loose its fear of humans. It probably won't make it through the next hunting season. It's going to walk up to a hunter and get lead not apples moron. NEVER FEED WILD ANIMALS !!!
She might and you are blessed to have such a lovely creature in your life animals know who loves them even wild things

I don't like how he resists letting him have the egg and then sticks his finger in its mouth. Its a wild animal not a small puppy.
I’m admiring the beauty … and the sudden crunching of the chicken bones reminded me that this isn’t just a pretty puppy!😽
We never fed chicken to our dogs because of the bone issue.

Fortunate because he feeds the fox, I’m sure if I started feeding any wildlife constantly I’d have a relationship. Unfortunately for the wild fox it’s now dependent upon humans to feed it.
@@dianepeck3290 Yes, really sad to think that the moment the fox stops receiving food from this human that it will immediately fall over and die. It's a wild animal, it can fend for itself, with or without people. Expand your horizons, just a little bit, if possible.

Foxes are a beautiful animals, we have one showing up during summer, always at the same time between 7:30 - 7:45 to pick up the scraps we leave outside

The first thing that really made me smile today was seeing that little fox in a bed the the generous and empathetic gentleman bought for him/her. How precious! 💗

@@cologist some creatures (like this little guy) want/need the interaction to survive. With him accepting feed, it also gives the carer an opportunity to hive medication when needed
Those creatures keep rabits and other rodents away... It is the reason that cats became somewhat domesticated.
@@urrywest Ironically the more it depends on this man as a food source the less it will be inclined to hunt rodents. Also this fox is going to lose its fear of humans in general and start approaching them. That would be to its detriment.
And finally is domestication really an ideal outcome for a wild animal? Yes by allying with us, it increases its chances of survival but it loses its freedom and ability to live without us. Foxes and wolves aren't in shelters waiting to be euthanized ^_^

For every human home that will feed a wild fox, five others will get out the shotgun. When you feed a wild fox, you're teaching it to trust people that shouldn't be trusted.

I was feeding wild squirrel at my home in Oregon. One day I had nothing to give. He followed me into my house chirping all angry like and refused to leave. I gave him a piece of bread after like 15 minutes and he happily left. Lol 😂

Feeding wild foxes does nothing but harm them. Look it up. If everyone did this, we would wipe them out.

Wait... so the parent foxes taught their pup to go to your home for food and friendship??? That's kind of amazing! It's kinda like seeing the domestication of canines in action, repeat this process for thousands of years and you get the modern dog haha!

Not even thousands of years. Just takes a few decades if they keep being encouraged.
At some point this man is going to not be there anymore, and they might starve.

Foxes aren’t really canines though. More closely related to cats. But yeah same process.

I love this. Thank you Sir!! I'm a animal lover too. Each chance I get I do what I can for all animals including racoons. Even though animals can fin for themselves they need a little help every now and then. It's not always easy for them especially mothers trying to feed their youngs. 😊❤️😘

What a good guy and foxes are such beautiful creatures.
Thanks for being nice to this wild fox. They don't live long in the wild, just 3-5 years. Some live for 10 years, but that is about it. They are very beautiful animals.

Gorgeous and looks so perfectly healthy (likely helped by the hand feeding of nutrients-rich foods so she never starves). It must be so cool to have wild foxes around.
We were sitting in the garden today (edge of countryside) a young fox walked right past us. I waved at it and then it lay down about 15 feet away facing us and was there for over half an hour just relaxing. It was a lovely moment.
