Wow! I love this technique of lighting up the mushrooms! So cool! Thank you so much for showing different ways of photographing the mushrooms in the field and providing the step by step process to create the most detailed image of the mushrooms using a combination of Lightbox & Photoshop. Always inspired by your photography techniques! 📷🍄💡🙂
Great to hear! this is fun, I have another video on macro maybe 2, one with a proper macro lens to show the difference and how to apply macro to stock, or one way of using macro and concepts, but yes! Extension tubes are a great way to start, its fun and it is challenging!
Thanks so much for the comment! as far as the MR you just fill it out as usual, but your name and signature for both photographer and model, very repetitive, but you are both 🤷♂
Do you ever add extension tubes to macro lenses? I feel like I can’t get as close as I want (with good focus) to subjects with my 100 mm or 150mm macro lenses.
I have yes! What I’ve noticed is that the DOF becomes much more shallow. Which makes sense, the closer you get to a subject the less depth of field you are going to get, this is when focus stacking is necessary to get a clear crisp image
Nice video. I watch your videos to improve my photography, and of course, it helps me a lot. I am still learning to take better photos. I have one confusion: If I take my own photos for stock, do I need a model release, or are my photos only valid for editorial? Can I post them as commercial?
Really cool video! Layers and masking are confusing to me and I really need to learn. I was a commercial photographer back in the film days. Been using Luminar which I prefer, but want to learn layers and masking in LR/PS any suggestions? Thanks.
Thanks and yes! very confusing at first, a bit of practice and it becomes second nature, LR does not o layers or masking, filters is the best lightroom can do, but PS was made for this. Maybe I can make another video going over the basics in the future 🤷♂. Check out Nick Page, he puts me to shame in photoshop.
Thanks for this very interesting video. However, I have one criticism to make: as someone who usually watch UA-cam videos wearing a headset, I found that hearing your dog snoring to be very annoying, no matter how cute the little dude is.
What I am noticing at present, it is much easier for me to have images accepted on A!Amy then A6ode. A6ode is rejecting the same images that A!my accepts saying it is quality control.
Yes! A!amy has never rejected any of my images , with a6obe I get about 6/10 accepted, similar images or quality 🤷♂️. It is a numbers game, having as many images as possible in multiple sites will increase the chances of selling.

Simple and beautiful, I will definitely use it. Thank you!!!
Aweosme! Thank you so much!
Crazy informative! Excellent video. Pictures and techniques are awesome!
Thanks Paul! I like the technique, I meet to practice a little more, but it is fun to blend the glow into the shrooms, some even look natural 😁
That was a great video. A lot to absorb. Great ideas, getting some extension tubes, for my Nikons and Lumixs. And they are entertaining. 🤣

Definitely going to be looking for mushrooms on my next hiking trip. Does it matter what lens you use with the extension tube?
It doesn't matter, extension tubes just give you the ability to get close to the subject, you can get closer with a wide angle, zoom, or even macro!
@@wollertz wow that's some good information! Thank you 👍
Another great one. I love starting my Sunday with your content. When taking and image of yourself for stock, How do you fill out the release?
Thanks so much for the comment!

Nice video, just subscribed to your channel.
Thanks you so much and welcome 🙌

Yes you need a MR for you as a model for it to be a commercial photo

Mycology nut here, but have no photography knowledge, watched anyway. Beautiful. 🍄🍄🍄🍄💡
Wow, thank you!
How do you identify these things 🤣 I checked in multiple books and websites and ended up more confused than when I started 🤣
Epic pictures!
Thanks! It was a good experiment 😁
Thanks for the video.
