Worst part of this case… is that he wouldn’t have really known who or why he was being killed. Maybe he assumed it was a robbery. His last moments, regardless, probably weren’t “my ex wife!” but “my baby girl”. That man almost certainly died terrified for his baby girl in the truck. That’s unfathomable and unforgivable in my opinion. Had it been obvious to him in some way it was at his ex wife’s doing… yeah, that’s terrible. But being clueless to the reason, scared, confused, and terrified your little girl might be next or might be kidnapped… unfathomable. Unforgivable.

It is outrageous that the twins have been left in their materal grandmother's care. What a travesty. They are susceptible to the influence of this woman. They are extremely traumatized children. Custody must be transferred to their paternal grandparents ASAP.

    • @sngray11

I totally and completely agree. As soon as Jared was murdered, Shanna took the twins to Washington and wouldn’t allow them to speak or visit with Jared’s side of the family, their stepmom, or their half-sisters. And I am sure that is continuing with Shanna’s parents having custody of the twins. They need their entire support system, not just Shanna’s conniving parents.

While I can understand how people can eventually grow to not like each other I will never understand how people can grow to despise someone so much that you kill them.
Knowing how much I love my husband and have always loved him I will never understand. Honestly he would have to do something absolutely horrid like rape or murder one of my family members in cold blood is likely the only thing that could lead for me to hate him and even then I wouldn’t be able to kill him. Our daughter LOVES HIM I feel like she loves her Dad more than she loves me a lot of the time. Our niece and nephews love my husband their love for him is part of what caused me to fall so deeply into love with him. I could never steal him from them and I will never understand being such a shitty ass selfish parent that you would steal your own children parents from them. Gross

@@Raraking4796I absolutely feel the same way. I cannot imagine any solid reason for this much hate from a human resulting in the murder of someone they once loved and shared their life with. It is by far the most selfish and self absorbed act, to take away their own child’s parent, the parent that helped create those beautiful children, and in this case, the parent who willingly wanted an extra date night with his children, while having a different wife and children with that wife, when most couples do only the basic visitation or shared custody schedule, and I’ve seen so many want the easiest and less “inconvenient” schedule. She quite literally ripped away from her own children, a protector, provider, friend, and someone who likely would’ve loved their children without conditions for their whole lives. It’s heartbreaking and I could not imagine feeling that sort of way towards my partner that I’d want to hurt our child to hurt him. It’s absolutely unimaginable and sickens me to think about.

I remember this sad case and I also remember a preposterous comment under a video about it where the commenter insisted that the 2 year-old child in the car was not going to be affected at all by what she had witnessed because of her young age. Ignorance about the human psyche is forgivable, but the attitude of the person commenting was really aggressive and smug towards those of us who were worried about the psychological repercussions on the little girl, and that was really annoying, infuriating almost, and it stuck with me unfortunately.

When my parents were murdered, my children and my sisters children were taken to the police station to wait on me to get there and get them. Our children were provided shoes (they had none when they fled the house) and teddy bears. I always assumed that police stations kept something on hand for children involved in situations like this. Bexley Boxes seems like a good idea that needs to be something provided at every Police Station. Especially for the younger kids. Unfortunately, older children's minds are not easily occupied.

The kids are the ones who are going to suffer the most. As a mother your top priority should always be the children. The fact that his 2 year old witnessed her daddy being killed… brings tears to my eyes. I could never imagine either of my children witnessing something like this. Such pure souls.
