Thanks for these tips and sharing your experience...Your vegetation comment applies here in the usa too. In my opinion, mineralization that brought in the gold left elements needed by certain plants to grow. Its common here to see those plants growing in the area that the mineralization came in through.

Wild dogs are always on my mind. Seen and heard them plenty of times, but luckily they've left me alone so far.

I use the "Australian Geology Travel Maps" app by Trilobite solutions.
It's available on Google Play and Apple App Store
It's not free, but very reliable and even works when you have no internet connection in the bush.
I highly rate it.
There are others, but I haven't used them so I can't vouch for them!
Tip one for all you UA-camrs. SAFTEY. Not research. That will get you there and out with the gold every time.. maybe seven links.
You are absolutely correct! It's the number one priority when out bush!
Another good tool is a drone.199 dollars that drone will go out 4 k's than return when the single gets weak.
