I drove ten hours to Houston to see them on the Judgement & Punishment Tour. One of the best shows I've ever seen. They're only getting better. Jinjer & Sleep Token would be the perfect show right now. Maybe even let Royal Blood warm everybody up. I'd go for sure.
She is Ukrainian. She grew up under Soviet rule and then later she had to flee a warzone in her home country.
She does have a song that is partly in Russian and partly in English. It's called Retrospection. They also have a song about the Ukraine-Russian war called Home Back.
She was meant to be alive.

Tatiana said in an interview that she never warms up and she is also self taught. Anything you check out from them is Good. But Their live performances are more enjoyable to watch in my opinion. Perennial live at wacken , or on the top live at kiev are a couple

It's Jinjer time and I will always be here for that. This band is special next level stuff this band brought me back to metal after a hiatus exploring other music. Yes I am a 54 year old black metal head. There's no bad Jinjer songs some are better than others but it's jinjer and you can pick what you want. Enjoy your journey down this rabbit hole. Tatiana. Roman. Eugene and Vlad consistently play down their badassery to a fault. But once again I have to stress about the lyrics. Ya'll got this one spot on. I'll suggest Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev. It's a heavy song about self doubt that ends in self empowerment.

2 voice boxes, kinda. Same voice box but different parts of it. Clean singing is the true vocal cords. Growls are the false vocal cords. How many women in the crowd probably depends on where the show is. I've been lucky enough to be at Jinjer shows in San Diego CA and Seattle, WA and both had quite a few women in the audience, though still mostly guys. Fun reaction. Subbed last time. ;) Cheers!
I was a concert last saturday with my wifes...., there were more women then normal at most metal Concert... Really good Concert. 2 meters away from the band,if you were up front. The Crowd were amazing energetic too...🤘🤘

I would definitely check out "Homeback" by Jinjer next. Its imo on their absolute best tracks ever and a very personal/special song to the entire band as it talks about the war between Ukraine and Russian and their experience fleeing from the violence and destruction in their hometown of Donetsk, Ukraine (which was basically the epicenter of the conflict at the time). Thanks for the great reaction! :)

They’re from Ukraine and their native language is Russian. All but the drummer fled their homes in eastern Ukraine due to the civil war going on there. They got bigger because they tour a lot, and sound even better live than they do in studio. They’re also just starting a tour..
Also the only song I can think of with any Russian is Retrospection, and it’s just one verse

I noticed that you are just talking about "Her". Jinjer is a band first, and Tatiana is the vocalist. After hearing them a few times I hope you come to notice what exceptional musicians the guys are!! We all love Tatiana and her unique skills, but let's give the guys their dues too!!

Would you be interested in broadening your musical horizon with some symphonic metal? Try listening to Nightwish. They are a band from Finland and they’re top notch in this genre. Their singer, Dutch Floor Jansen, has one of the best female voices in metal today. Every Nightwish song is different. There are epic songs, like the one you I’m recommending now, but they can also go really heavy on you and the next song could be very celtic sounding or even jazzy.
