How to fix a Boot Zipper

My daughter has a new pair of boots, with a badly installed zipper. Here's how to fix your boots, using just a needle and thread, and some small pliers.
This method has 4 simple steps.
1 - remove the end cap from one side of the zipper.
2 - thread the teeth from that side into the zipper.
3 - replace the end cap with some windings of thread.
4 - sew up the closed end to stop it opening from the bottom.
This method can be used to fix jeans as well.

good to know if you can't get the tiny stopper bits back on at the top, just sew a couple of stitches so the zip can't slide off

Yes, it's a 90% solution, but I never had the stitches fail, so it's a practical solution as well.

Yes, that is true. My daughter bought them online and they were broken like that when they arrived. I fixed them quick so she could wear them that day.

I'm sorry you were unable to follow the video to do the repair. When you say it is now more broken, what does that mean? I assume it was not zipping, now it is not zipping more?
