I own the Casio Lineage LCW-M100TSE-1AJF and it is SERIOUSLY amazing. (12:48) Multiband, Sapphire, Titanium, all the same awesome functionality with a much cleaner look in my opinion. AND one of the absolute coolest link removal systems ever. Ben's Watch Club did a video on this one and it's awesome.

I also owned one of these at the recommendation of a fellow WUS member, and I loved almost everything about it. My issue was that while it claims to have a 40mm case, it wore much smaller, closer to my 38mm Hamilton Khaki. That's on the small end of what I can wear on my 7.75" wrist, so I parted with it.

@@jtlynn23 My Wave Cepter field watch was advertised as a 43mm case but they were measuring across the "ears". The dial is closer to 38mm and it looks and wears like that. Too small for my 8 inch wrist but I wore it and loved it anyway. I eventually replaced it with a G-Shock square multiband solar.

I have 50-60€ Casios that hit the markers perfectly which is why I know that the 'but it takes a lot of effort to have a proper alignment' excuse is BS. I can't make myself to buy a pricey quartz watch (even tho I'm aware that the movement usually doesn't make the majority of the price) and I haven't seen anyone having consistently good alignment in the sub-500€ world except for Casio. That's probably why quartz watches in my collection are exclusively Casios (and one Bulova Lunar Pilot).

Nobody does quartz better than the Japanese, especially Casio and Citizen.
I own an Oceanus chronograph, and a Citizen CB0140 pilot’s watch.
The Oceanus , other than being “full option”(Titanium, sapphire, Solar and Multiband) is finished beautifully, can’t believe the polish on that titanium.
The Citizen, also titanium, and same specs, has the H145 movement, which is a simple 3 hand with date. The way that thing hits the markers with confidence, absolutely zero backlash, is a joy to behold.
      Love Japanese watches!

I bought the Lineage black/anthracite dial, negative display model from Amazon UK in 2021 (it doesn't have arabics at 12 and 6), it's my favourite watch, hits every index on the way round and doesn't noticably gain or loose a second over the course of a day regardless of the waveceptor function. The bracelet feels cheap when you fiddle with it although I've felt much worse but it is really comfortable, it feels like Casio have engineered it to be as comfotable as possible while spending as little as they can get away with. If you must have a 40mm watch though, avoid the cheaper titanium postive display version mentioned, it's only 40mm because of the protruding areas at 3 and 9 and looks and feels more like a 38mm and a small 38mm at that. Luckily I bought it from Amazon and was able to return it and get the much better wearing true 40mm, anthracite dial version reviewed LCW-M170D-1AER. I'm over the whole automatic movement thing and after owning this Casio for 2 years now, If every watch I owned was solar and radio controlled I'd be a much happy bunny. Also, because of the overall look and anthracite dial I much prefer it to the Oceanus.

I have the blue T3000 (cost around 1000NZD - around 600USD). An absolute bargain, the fit and finish of the whole watch is outstanding. The motors are superfast, so when it 'wakes up' from being stored in the dark, it only takes a few seconds to adjust to local time. Bluetooth, solar, titanium etc....Probably the best value, as most Oceanus retail for way more than 1000USD, and you aren't getting any more usable features.

I love Casio Ana-Digis. I own another iteration of this watch, the Waveceptor WVA-M630, which is more of a field style casual watch with full Arabic numerals on a black face. It is supplied on a nylon/leather band which I have traded for a pair of Barton bands in both black canvas and silicone. Between this and my G-Shock GAB-2100, they are my go-to everyday wear watches, both packed with features and dead-on accurate thanks to the radio control and Bluetooth connectivity respectively. I've also had my eye on the second of the Lineage versions you've shown (with Titanium case and bracelet), though this one is quite a looker! Nice job highlighting this module, Jody! I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants an everyday watch they can always count on!

Looking at my 20 or so watches, THE easiest one to read for my old eyes is a dirt cheap white faced el-cheapo with black hands! So, looking at the solar and automatic options available, I kept coming back to the Casio WVA-M630, a JDM model. With 50 meters not as water-proof as the 100 meter M640, but a bit smaller, and no faked, non-rotary bezel, which I do not like on a watch!
I stumbled over a white faced version of it, WVA-M630D-7AJF, and now have one on the way as a 2 day delivery from a domestic Amazon warehouse!

I had one of these for a couple of months back in 2019 and it was probably the best value watch I've ever owned, an absolutely terrific allrounder. I ultimately flipped it because I just got bored with the very utilitarian design rather quickly, and also because, even at a modest 39,5 mm, it was just too big for my teensy tiny wrist. (After that experience, I resolved to never buy a watch again that was above 38 mm, my "sweet spot" is actually somewhere between 34 and 36 mm.)

It' the combination of the white color lume and shine of the metal baton indices which make it very readable. It does not glow as bright as a diver but is equally readable. The large digital screen is also a breeze to read. The watch is so light I've feel asleep wearing and not noticed it there. It's really got all the functions you ever need. Fantastic daily. I have a black stainless version with baton hour markers all round with negative LCD and a titanium version with a silver dial and positive LCD. Both bracelets get a B+ but for what you get are more than OK. My black one has had a hiccup a few times with the second hand alignment with the LCD after a year or two but the manual describes how to adjust it. It's been fine for the last few years though so not sure exactly what occurred, (not dropped or anything) my titanium one has been perfect. As I said I've had mine I think for for around 4 or 5 years and the are still ticking away fine and receiving the atomic clock signal here in the UK.

I have the white dial oceanus t200 and it is definitely worth the money. My only complaint is the clasp, because I know they have a good one on other watches at a similar price, but I was lucky and got an excellent fit.

I have a Casio Lineage LCW-M300 with a 5110 module which shares quite a few features with this model, but I'd recommend anyone considering the above to look at this option as well. The looks of the analogue portion are a bit less developed, and it lacks the numerals at 12 and 6 and the blue chapter ring. Plus, it certainly has a busy dial, with the laundry list of features written on both the case back and the front. However, it has two digital windows and an indicator subdial to show you which mode you're in, which turns out to be very practical and usable. With four pushers, using the various digital features is very straightforward, but the analogue portion is also good-looking and functional. Price is also competitive.

I have the titanium version with standard digi as shown second from the left towards the end of the video.
Very light, 78g on my girly wrist. Lume is poor but I am coming from a SKX007! The light is yellow, perhaps an attempt to look like an early digital watch light.
As Jody mentioned the bracelet has poor adjustability.
Also the alarm is so quiet as to be useless.

as someone who's lived mostly in JP, it's really funny about people getting excited about the Lineage watches. This is the ultimate watch for someone who does not care about watches, is wowed by specs, but still needs something dressy enough for a desk job.

Would be interested in seeing some of the Citizen JDM mid-range Attesa models, if your man there has some. There's some tidy little gems in amongst the usual Citizen over the top stuff - the CB0210-54L looks pretty good in Super Titanium (look for some vids, the Citizen press photos are the crap renders).
Edit: Classic, classic Citizen - just noticed they've randomly released the IP coated version of the above in the UK... The only one mind, because we can't have nice things. Same with the Series 8 - only imported the ugly colourways

I will start to save for this lineage. I want an atomic Casio watch, but most of them are too big for me. This model allows for strap changes, unlike the Oceanus you reminded us of. Finally, i absolutely hate the positive display on other lineage models. This is the watch i have been waiting for. Thank you!

I've had a LCW-M100TSE-1AER version of it (titanium, dark brown-burgundy dial with non-inverted LCD) for about 2 years now and while I haven't been wearing it in the past few months (the 'small' Lunar Pilot is the latest king-of-the-wrist) it probably had the most wrist time of all my watches. The only two niggles I have with it is the asymmetrical LCD window (much more noticeable on a non-inverted LCD) and the measly yellow LED light, otherwise it's an awesome watch. Ok, one more, the titanium finish is super-easy to scratch, should've sacrificed the lightness for durability...

Oceanus all day long (if your budget allows, of course). A bit pricier but bound to be way better finished and has bluetooth. Like you, Jody, we can't get the radio signal here in NZ. Ebay prices can be great if you are in the U.S. but I get pinged an extra 15% tax if I purchase anything on that site, so that is a factor which needs to be considered. Having said all that, any of the above watches are worth considering.
