Can't wait to start working on my 91 C1500. Same factory color, I have 93 Blazer buckets and console in there, but kind of want a stock split bench in there.
For the record you will have to modify the factory shifter location if you put a t56 in the truck. I had an lt-1 t56 in mine with the mid shift conversion and now I have a t56 magnum in it with the shifter mid mounted in the same location and had to elongate the factory shifter location towards the rear of the truck about 2 inches. I still use my stock shift boot but made a plate out of abs plastic to bolt everything down
Take a piece to tubing taper the edge to make a hole punch, heat it with a bottle torch, and you can make nice holes in the carpet for bolts etc. Try a test to get it down. My plan for suspension is a QA1 setup. Nice video on those seats. Any chance to download those mount design?
Nice job Travis! I’ve been following you build on this obd, you probably already know lmc truck now sell’s replacement dashes for these trucks I bought one for my 93 and it’s perfect took me about 3 hrs to remove the old one and install the new one! Thank you for your videos they are very helpful. Now to find gen 5 camero seats for my 93 k1500
Travis, been trying to find out what color your truck is..?? Can't seem to find the video (if any) in which to state the name of the "dark gray/grey" color.. Getting ready to paint my s-10 and really like the color on the Muscle Truck. Thanks for any info that you give. Blessings!
Thanks man ! It’s close to a Toyota gray but this is actaully a GM color. I don’t know my paint code and all my RPO codes are gone from the glovebox. I believe it’s it’s called dark metallic gray. I use a Toyota color for touch up stuff.
hello travis awsome video i have a 1995 obs were did you find those seats at??? and how much ?? i live in spartanburg s.c. have my own garage. god bless love yre videos,
Thanks man ! These actaully came from my Camaro. They were like new but I swapped recaros into the car. So it worked out well. If you search the camaro pages on FB you’ll likely find cloth seats like this. The V6 cars will also have a very similar seat.
I don’t know if you’ll respond since I’m late, but I bought some seats and I some 2in tubing but I can’t seem to find out what you mean by the angle you did to make it fit…I’m having trouble making mine fit
I know this is a fairly old video and you may not be responding anymore. I'm curious how did you keep the seats working? I've got factory power seats but wanting to switch to late model Camaro seats.
I have these same exact seats in my obs and wired them like you had them but for some reason they dont recline back . They do move foward and back , any idea why ?
This would require ALOT of trial and error. I’d start by measuring your cab and tunnel. Then find a donor 5th gen to compare measurements. I would reuse the floor bolts and adapt the camaro pattern on top of your bracket. That’s what I ended up doing. I used a drawing software to design it.
@@DAGOLFER34 the pervious owner cut off the bracket for the bench seat and screwed wood blocks to the floor then the seat on top of the wood. Thx for the help man.
I put buckets and a console from a 2008 Chevy into my ‘88 GMC. Only change is the bolts for the console 👍
Good to know they bolt in ! My dad is looking at going to those seats !
Nicely Done! You have built a true Street Truck.
I second on downloading the bracket template.

Necessity is the mother of invention! Great job on the fabrication!
Thanks ! It’s simple and it works !
Love the color of the truck and the seat mod is great....
had to do the same with my 91 GMC 1500 short box1500 , but I did find two out side brackets from a 1998 suburban . turned out good .
the color on this truck😮💨😍
You did a great job on this truck

Thanks for letting me know ! That’s why I didn’t bolt the console down in this one. Still on the fence about leaving the NV3500 in it.
I Really like my QA1 coilovers on my 82 malibu and when I get around to my 85 caprice wagon it will get QA1 coilovers also.
I like your truck. Very, very nice

I should’ve done that ! The carpet was hard to cut.. unfortunately they are in file formats that aren’t PDF.
@@DAGOLFER34 I mean heck, even a pic of them would work
@@DAGOLFER34 Easy enough to convert, as a former USAF jet mech and a Navy IT guy, LOL.
@@DAGOLFER34 Could you shoot them over to me? I'd like to get a set made without having to reinvent the wheel.
I love that green obs chevy

This bad boy nice! What signal lenses are those? Keep this awesome content coming Brother
Thanks man I actually picked these up from Amazon 😂 they actaully worked well.
Thanks Man. Ima look around
My son just picked up a k1500 97’. Need to replace front seats. This looks like a good project for us. Any way to get a copy of the blueprints?
Subscribed! 😎
That console was only used from 99-02. Then the console that was used afterwards was from 03-07.

it can be done!
If your working on good old OBS trucks Ill sub , you do good solid work .
Where did you pull power Fram for your seats
Should have heated up a piece of pipe and made perfectly round holes in the carpet for the bolts.
Awesome build and showcase. My question is, do your seatbelt buckles clip and fit with modern seats?
Yes ! They ended up working together !!
❤❤❤❤
How did you build your shifter I'm wanting to customize my 5 speed shifter
Can u tell me what size is the metal bracket I’m trying to do the same thing
I know this is a fairly old video and you may not be responding anymore. I'm curious how did you keep the seats working? I've got factory power seats but wanting to switch to late model Camaro seats.
I wired them to a battery adjusted them and then left it. There’s no room to move them anyways.
@@DAGOLFER34 right on, thanks for responding man
Can you make a set and ship?
question where do i get the mounts from ?
How difficult was it squaring them up???
I have these same exact seats in my obs and wired them like you had them but for some reason they dont recline back . They do move foward and back , any idea why ?
I would test if the motor for the recline works… see if power is getting to the motor when you push the lever. I bet the motor is bad.
What are the dimensions of that outside wide bracket? The only thing I can find online is 2-in by 5-in by 11 gauge.
Go to McMaster carr. It is 18x4” .080 “ thick if I recall.
Hi there bro... i was just wondering what tipe of tubin you have used for you seats
Love it.
Thanks ! I had a tough time finishing this one up. I got Covid right in the middle of this project 🙃
What size square stock did you use and how long are they? All the same length?
Hey are selling the drawings to those seat brackets or the brackets themselves. I would like to to put some gen v camaro seats in my obs
im trying to swap out my bench seat for some buckets on my 1988 obs is there any way you can post a link to download the template
Hello…..what would you charge to make a set of brackets for my 1998?
I’m not going to be making these. Sorry just a one off set for mine.
I just put seat like the green truck in my Sqaurebody
Do sell the seat brackets?
I do not. They are a pain to machine lol
Where did you get your floor mats with the red Chevy emblem?
I have had those for over 10 years. Advance actually used to carry them.
@@DAGOLFER34 ok thanks brother 👍
What about your dad's truck I have 4.3 long bed need to bucket seats image
would you sell the exhaust that sitting aside the truck
how tall are you I feel like the cab is too small for those seats
I’m 6ft but if you’re a big guy it’s probably too tight.
that works
I like that set up but I want to also have a jump seat with console I ride 3 deep when I'm picking up my kids
Do you sell the plans for the seat bracket ?
They are very easy to make. I wouldn’t sell these since it’s just tubing.
What’s size of tubing I want to install some seats
Did you change the engine yet?
Yes I have a series out now for the entire swap.
What would it cost me for you to make another set of brackets?
Too much lol I would just buy some 2x2 steel tubing and draw sketch out what is needed. It’s not horrible but I used CAD to make it a lot easier.
What's the name of that weels bro
Ridler 607s
Bad ass
How much would you charge me to make the brackets? And ship them to me. Same truck and same seats
What size is the tubing you used?
Rim and tire size?
20x8.5s 245/40/20 and 275/40/20
Anyway we can get that template for the brackets ?
Will you be selling this truck?
For a very dedicated buyer I would yes
@@DAGOLFER34 How much would you ask for the truck?
Hello I have the same truck and was wondering what did those seats come out of?
In it
would you like to get a free light bar?
What you may call gruesome, someone else else may call education on fabrication
I still need a lot more education in the fab department 😂
Can someone help me mock up a design to put modern seats in my c10
