Get organized and create a place for every hand tool to minimize chaos in your workshop! This was a quick and easy project that anyone can make using just a circular saw and a power driller/screwdriver and, of course, a few hand tools will help as well! You probably own a few if you're making this cabinet!

I really like the use of the MDF to plug the screw holes. The contrast on the plywood ties the whole cabinet together! Great job.

Great cabinet. I especially like the contrast between the birch and the gray MDF. Nice idea to use the gray MDF as screw hole plugs, too.
You might think about adding some spacers to the top and bottom corners of the doors, where they touch the cabinet when closed. This way the doors will be lined up when closed, and the edges of the doors won't damage the cabinet when you close them.

Awesome! Love the look of the grey MDF against all the tools, makes for quite a modern looking tool cabinet. Very cool way to store and display your gear and also to show off your craftsmanship! Great use of magnets too. Such a simple and clean solution :)

Thumbs up! You did a great job customizing your tool cabinet. There is one thing that drives my mind crazy. The piano hinge. If you rip about 1/8” off the long side, you will recess the hinge and you won’t have the angles gap on top and bottom when you close the door. Other than that, great job! You made it your own!

Nice quick, little brake for bending aluminum. I like the cabinet, I like that it's tall, and has double doors. but it seems a bit shallow. That limits the versatility to fit just certain tools. I want to pack a square foot of wall space with a lot of tools. I do like the concept. It's just a bit too svelt.

Nicely done. Only observation or minor complaint is the hinges do not allow the doors to sit flush since they are on the inside. An easy fix would have been to relieve the hinge mounting areas, but this is a very minor issue. Another "fix" would be rubber bumper taps at the door corners or magnetic cabinet latches. In any even, it came out great and looks good as well.

Nice cabinet. Make sure any blade tools like chisels or knives don't touch any magnets. You will align the dipoles and sharpening is going to be a hassle as you'll never be able to clear off all the burr filaments so your edge gets ruined. You'll know they are magnetised when all the burr sticks to the outside corners on the edge. You can buy a demagnetiser on Amazon. Mebbe suggest dump the MDF, it makes a lot of dust, is toxic. It also pulls moisture out of the air and will bow under load. Ply is better. Nice clean work.
