Finally after 3 years, I built the workbench that I once imagined to be the first Get Hands Dirty video project.
Hope you guys enjoy this super heavy and sturdy roubo style inspired woodworking workbench made out of hard maple and featuring a 12" quick release bench vise!
    Weights about 120kg (265lb)
    Dimensions are 150 cm x 70 cm x 74 cm tall (59" x 27 1/2" x 29" tall)

I appreciate that you showed the struggling with the large pieces. That stuff is skipped when people make these things and make these big unwieldy things that we all do silly things in our workspaces to deal with (like having to lever it off a chair)

I've looked at a lot of Workbench build videos of late and I have to say this bench is far and away the best I've seen. I mean, Wow! I love your attention to the finest of details and how you use the tools you have the way they are designed to be used. Safety first. Thanks for a quality presentation as well. Good lighting, sound and clear narration without useless banter. A joy to watch. You have inspired me to stop wasting time watching video and get into the shop to build my own. Wow!

I really enjoy your videos! Also, I love how you use the ambient noises instead of filling the video with background music (background music can be distracting). I love the sounds of tools being used! Excellent video, build, and editing!

I teach Woodwork and Metalwork to high school students in Australia. 1/3 to 1/2 of classes are female in a subject that is optional. I'll direct them to this video. I hope they find it as inspirational as I did.

Hi, today I just found your channel on UA-cam by accident, and I'm glad I did, I was searching UA-cam for videos on how to make a big beefy strong hardwood quality workbench and that's how I found you. I was very impressed with the high-quality work that you do when you build stuff. today what inspired me was that you built a quality big beefy hardwood workbench which I really like a lot. I am a fan of woodworking and have been all of my life, although I don't always have the time that I would like to have to build the things I want & need, although, I still manage to find some time to do some kind of project around the shop, and I have many pending projects around the shop and in the house, as I said earlier I love to woodwork and build and repair things with my hands, it is my passion, please keep the videos coming I love to watch them thank you...!

For me this how all DIY UA-cam videos should be made.
Helpful explanation, clear view of the workpieces, no drag on boring stuff, decent amount of entertaining level.
Loved the struggling part with the tenons. Had similar but not as difficult situation with Festool domino, my useful trick is to drill a small hole in the flat side of one or both halfs if necessary.
If one half gets stuck in your workpiece you can use a nail or strong screwdriver as leverage in the hole. Worked for the domino, but your mortise and tenon looks like even a tighter fit :p
