OHHH YES, I COULD LISTEN TO YOU IMPROVISING ALL MY LIFE AND NEVER GET TIRED. You are such an inspiration to me and a truly master. Love you Tomo, and your music. ❤❤
Tomo you are truly an amazing musician and person. A total class act on the guitar with such warm and kind philosophies on usually worrisome thoughts such as anxiety and self doubt as a musician. You are an inspiration to generations. Totemo yasashi sensei desuyo! Sugoi Gita no Sensei Desu. (please excuse my kindergarden level japanese haha)
Love how I'm not only learning the guitar in your channel Mr. Tomo, I'm also discovering new artist to listen to, this is the 2nd time by the way. Hope I could discover more to add on my playlist.
THANK YOU TOMO 🙏 Watching you decipher this in real time was really educational but more importantly it was fun. There's a point at 11:08 where I see a lightbulb go off in your head and you start ripping through a really cool pattern of licks that make me think of a bull rider that has figured out the bulls rhythm and he can't be thrown. Like a confidence "I got you and you can't throw me" kind of thing. I know it's difficult to recall a moment like that but is there any way you can describe what that lightbulb was? Describing that moment alone would make a great video by itself. Again, thank you for sharing.
Great song and genre. New to me. The breakdown with key and augmentations is where i get really interested. I need work there, so this is good. Thank you.
Awesome Tomo! I didn’t have my guitar while watching this, but you did such a good job explaining the progression that I grabbed my guitar after and figured out the chords in about 5 minutes from watching your fingerings. I sometimes don’t give myself enough credit for the theory that I have learned over the years. This is a fun little progression and so cool to improvise over, and you played some really cool lines over this song. Very fun video, I like this series Tomo!
Great question! That's why I made "Jazz Standards Series" on my Guitar Wisdom. Very effective way to train your ears with those classic jazz chord progressions. Thank you.
Woww, this is my first time listening to this as well! I'm getting a lot of bossa nova vibes from the last 2 chords. Love itt! Can you listen to Reminiscing by Little River Band? I was watching Cory Wong's tour documentary and his drummer (Petar, who I believe has played with you before) was singing the lyrics while setting up his drums, and I immediately look for the song. Its so beautiful, I wanna learn why it sounds the way it does.. especially the music behind the lyrics "i wanna build my world around you".. i just love that part of the song so much hahaha
I don't know where I got this from. Songs playing. I pluck F. Sound bad then F# then C#. If that sounds good then G#. If that sounds bad I now know I'm in Key of D. Discounting modes this usually gets me good 98% of time. Ilisten for the harmonic wave.
Thanks for sharing! Music is so deep & fun. It makes a sense with basic theory & little more, no need to make any sense but it sounds good! Then all good! Even "AVOID NOTE" You should not avoid it. Just don't stay it too long or don't finish with. Pass it then sounds so good!

Thank you so much!
Love your smooth articulation to the songs and music at hand. So professional, and very experiencing for all of us in the process
Thank you so much!
@@TomoFujitaMusic It's always my pleasure!
@@RC32Smiths01 Thank you kindly!!
Gotta be one of the best from Tom Misch. That B/C# is something i would've never thought of. 🤯
Yes! What a beautiful song! Thank you!
you can think of it as a F#13sus4 also, ever since adding a sus4 to 5 chords has become a passion
@@glados2403 i would say it functions more like a 5th to the F#7#5 since its built as a C#11 chord. haha. hence a sort of 251 (C#11 F#7#5 Bm9)
I thought I watched every good guitar video on YT until I discover Tomo....
Thank you so much!
Tomo you the man

Tomo plays Tom!! Really loved 😊
I have a question, can we say this song is in the key of B phrygian?
Thank you so much! That's way too much thinking! Follow those chords!
This music sound like "influência do jazz" from Carlos Lyra
Thank you for sharing! Many great songs share with same/similar chords. Just like colors.
ahhhhhh
Thank you!
Sir plzzz do the breakdown of Ain't no sunshine by John Mayer.
