I give up. I have done everything. I upgraded my Mac to a 2013 Mac Pro (trash can) with 8 cores 64 Gb ram, I got a UA thunderbolt interface, I froze tracks, I turned tracks off, I played with different buffer sizes, I closed all other apps, I turned on 64 but processing, I turned off everything that isn’t being used. And my system still plays for a few seconds and overloads. The only thing I didn’t do is get a new hard drive. But from what I can see, it’s the CPU that is overloading. Any ideas? Anyone?
Man that sounds super frustrating! Sorry about that. You should be good to go with that set up. If your shard drive is too full that could put a strain on the CPU. You might not need to get another hard drive. But just for ref. I put 16 GB of ram and a 256 SSD drive into my 2011 Mac book pro. And it still runs seasons. I also have an iMac 2018. But I run my audio files on an external thunderbolt ssd. But it could just be that your computer is too full?? That’s all I can figure at the moment. Hope it helps!
I'm using the 2019 Macbook Pro and having the exact same problem, despite it being less than a year old. I've even tried sitting it on a laptop fan since it gets seriously hot but that doesn't change anything. It's incredibly frustrating. There must be *something* draining the CPU significantly but I have no idea what it is.
@@ShikariHybryd yeah that sounds frustrating. It definitely should be running fine with a 2019. I have a pimped out 2011 and it still works. Try opening your Activity Monitor app on your Mac and look at the CPU tab. That will give you an idea of which programs are draining your CPU.
Changing DAW to abelton or pro tools or etc. will help man if that's your last option. I've run the same problem as u do and haven't figured out ways too :(
Thank you. Blessings from India

You’re welcome!
You need a million thumbs up on this vid. Well explained
😂👍👍👍👍👍 Right on!
Finally, something to work with, especially plugin optimisation. Thanks 🙏
Glad that helped. I will say also that switching to an SSD drive makes a huge difference too! 😀
