    That bread looks really yummy!! I would like to see you make the recipe for apple cider vinegar if you haven't done so already. Thank you for the tips on those tents. I also like the curved one too but it would be nice if they had windows in that like the other one. Who knows maybe they will do that. For your other tent, it seems like you would be able to buy some metal holders instead of those cheap plastic ones that keep breaking. Maybe a hardware store might have them somewhere or Amazon or somewhere. I really enjoy watching all of your videos. Your children really are sweet, and so are you guys. I also enjoy watching your shopping extravaganzas, lol.

      Yes, I need to make more cider so I can film next time! Great idea.
      I have about 2 gallons fermenting right now...
      It's sooooo much better than store bought and it's easy too.
      Thanks for watching us, have a wonderful New Year!!!

    Hi!!! Merry Christmas!!! Did you film a video on Christmas Day? Opening presents and such, or did you keep it as a private family time which is totally acceptable as well. With shopping so far away, I think it would be fun for each of you to hand make gifts for each other. Loved watching you baking bread, although, I sympathized with Brady and Harley using the two man saw. Lumberjacks chucked those aside for chainsaws for a reason!!😂😂😂 But it was fun to watch! Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! Can’t wait to see a new year of adventures with all of you! Bless you all! Happiness always!💜💜💜

      Hey there!! No video that day... sorry we honestly forgot we were excited to open presents! Like your idea of homemade gifts. Yes Harley & Brady are both so strong. So wierd to see my "babies" grow up... I am proud of all 4 kids! They are all so different. Hey at least they get along! Lol.
      Thanks for watching us.
      We also had another video out today on our other shopping channel.
      Brady took some beautiful drone footage
      Have a safe and great New Years!!!

    Love the stove top bread! I used my log burner to cook quite a lot when I lived in the UK.
    Obviously this works for you but might I make a couple suggestions…
    1 allow the dough to rise a bit more before baking
    2 preheat both cast iron pans before adding the dough
    3 use the smaller pan on the bottom with the larger pan as the lid- as the heat naturally rises it would be trapped and provide a better oven effect
    4 a couple coins between the stove top and the pan helps prevent over cooking the bottom

      Oh my goodness I love your tips!!! Thank you...as you know there are so many variables cooking this way.
      Every batch seems a bit different!
      Thank you!!

    I agree on the propane, I have watched a ceiling go from fresh paint white to a smoke yellow in 5 years, you would have thought 30 people smoked there but no one smoked there at all, thank what that is doing to a person lungs, I don't mind propane if its outside are well vented places.

    • @Alaskan6pack
      @Alaskan6pack  18 днів тому

      Absolutely!!! It was giving me asthma and I didn't know it was that because it was vented to pull it outside!
      Yikes, scary stuff.
      My lungs are sooooo much happier!
      It has pushed us into wood stove cooking which great!!!

    Thank you for sharing! Love the cooking segment on bread making on the wood stove. I've done chili and reheating left overs when we were out of power for 10 days durning a ice storm in OK several years ago. Very interesting about the outdoor shelters. I have a 2 man saw that belonged to my dad that is hanging in my green house.

    What happened to the chain saw?😅

    • @Alaskan6pack
      @Alaskan6pack  18 днів тому +1

      Well that's a story.... here we go...we were heating up the mill with Mr. Heater buddy...we threw Jeff's older MS250 under the tarp with the mill. Well somehow the saw fell close to heater buddy and it melted a bit....so had to whip out the old crosscut that day
      We ended up having to borrow a saw from a neighbor eventually
      Quite a story right?
      We need a new saw now.

    You guys are daring having a V10 F-Series. All inline 5 cylinders and V10s suffer from irregular hot cooling ( heat soak) issues on the flywheel end cylinders caused by the wave-pattern in odd firing. Not a question of if but when the head gasket blows on flywheel side. Never allow the engine to get "hot"; as that condition will just speed up process of the firing ring on head gasket to give way. Does not matter if it's a 5 cylinder or V10 in a: Dodge,Honda,Ford, Lamborghini,BMW,etc. whacky irregular cooling on flywheel end is the norm.
