Very true! I gave a shout-out to it in the video. The reason I chose TB EQv3 is because it has more bands so I find it more versatile. Nova is by far the best free dynamic eq I have ever used.
Hahaha I should have made the video "The Best 3 Free EQ Plugins". Nova has some great features (like band solo) that would be amazing to have on TB EQ v3. Outside of free EQ Plugins, I have found that Kirchoff EQ has replaced Pro Q3 and Nova for me. That EQ is an absolute game changer. If I had to use one EQ for everything it would be that. Also Sonnox Claro is a beast.
@@matthewbcarter I thought about getting the Kirchoff but I use Nova or Ozone 10 Dynamic EQ that came with the suite. They're better than Q3 because you can adjust the attack/release times unlike Q3. How FabFilter didn't give it an attack/release option I'm not sure. I will say the Kirchoff has more going for it since you can customize the different types of eq for each point. If I don't need dynamic, I just use Channel EQ that comes with Logic for a digital eq...LOL.
@Matthew B. Carter Dont sure (or understood if you want) if TB EQ3 can make some sort of EQ Match. Can you confirm (or not) it, pls ? Shame TB v3 plugins werent released as VST3.
Toneboosters now have equalizer pro, you can do everything like fabfilter and more. Great plugin !! Its only 60$ so must buy. You can put different filters on bands.
Absolutely agree! There's a surprising amount of flexibility to BlendEq considering it gives you control over how much saturation you want to use on each instance. I feel like most analog emulations should give you complete control over the amount of analog character. Lindell and Brainworx do this pretty well tbh. Brainworx really needs to add oversampling to their emulations though.
@@matthewbcarter yeah it's interesting that you say that. because just yesterday i made a video in which i partially reacted to this video by you, because you inspired me to talk about EQs that saturate in general, but not limited to analog emulations and i came to the conclusion that no plugin covers all the possible usecases yet, and that blendEQ even has some features that makes it stand out from saturating EQs that show the frequency response
I really loved your video! I left a lengthy comment on it. Very educational video and I appreciate the analysis and criticism of my video. You gave me some extremely valuable feedback.
Don't forget TDR Nova. Free is awesome. GE edition even better.

@@matthewbcarter yes, I use Toneboosters eq4 too! Great software. Also can recommend tb Enhancer, it's very good.
I was thinking the same when I watch it 😆 I'm using TDR Nova and BlendEQ but TBeq has some very good features. I'm going to try TBeq.

always good to have an eq that can also saturate
