Absolutely. I'm surprised I don't see more people using it. There was no marketing around it (I guess because it's free) and it deserves more credit. So deep and useful.
I really appreciate the kind words :) Honestly I've never had anyone ask to hear my music haha. I'll start uploading some of my tracks to my UA-cam channel in the future and I'll let you know.
@@matthewbcarter Just tested, in Reaper you can just "Record Output: Midi" and it works as it should. You can than manually change things in each layer. Pretty awesome!
It was just a quick little idea that I threw together. Never really made it in to a full track. I really like the melody and the warm bell sound but didn't know what else to do with it. If you'd like an audio and midi file of that part just lmk and I'll send it to you.
Another person asked the same thing and I did a bit of research. Apparently it's not possible to do that directly from Stochas. github.com/surge-synthesizer/stochas/issues/63 If your DAW can do something like "Record MIDI output" from a channel, that's your best bet to export MIDI.
I really appreciate the support 😊. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. The logic GUI is by Creationauts (called LPX Colorizer). I believe it was $60 which I've gotta be honest is really steep. I basically just use the dark mode you can see here but there is a lot more customization that the software can do. Check it out if you're interested!
From the Stochas official guide they talk about how there isn't a built in midi export option. Ableton (and maybe other DAWs) have the ability to capture MIDI out from plugins but I'm not sure how well it works with Stochas.
Honestly that's a really good question haha. I never tried that. My best guess would be to use something like the groove/swing function of Stochas? (I didn't cover this in the video) I believe that Stochas has a very extensive PDF manual that you can check out and hopefully there's some more info about it.
Probably the best free sequencr out there.

@@matthewbcarter There probably was a subtle wordplay there : )
I missed that the first time I read it haha. Nice one.
Some nice production work.
sound great!!!
I really appreciate that. Thank you 😊
Hey, Amazing tutorial. Thank you so much for this. Where can I listen to your music?

Very great tutorial.
Is thee a way to export these patterns to midi items that you can arrange in your track?
It doesn't seem like there is a way to do it directly from Stochas.
Here's some info I found:

@@matthewbcarter Interesting ideas, I'm going to try "recording the midi output" as someone suggested there.

3:20 is this finished as a song somewhere on bandcamp? Name?

Thanks for this wonderful Stochas presentation, but did you showcase how to "EXPORT MIDI" from Stochas into your DAW?

Great tutorial.... thanks for making it!
ALSO... AWSOME Gui on logic.... how is that possible !?

HOW DO YOU EXPORT THE MIDI MEANING HOW TO RECOD THIS TO A TRACK ?

guys, what are the best sequencers/arps on the paid market right now?
hi, maybe a stupid question, but how can i bring in triplets?
Honestly that's a really good question haha. I never tried that.
