Chance it was great meeting you again and I had so much fun with the experience I am hoping to catch another show in the future. Sampled Outlaw and I really dug it. MOV just did a reissue of it so that speaks to what a classic it is. Saint Pepsi...definitely Vapor Wave ;) I will have to listen to the Logg release to if there are any samples I can identify.
That Mother Love Bone score is pretty sweet. I would have grabbed that one! Lots of other great scores that I didn't see.
One of the highlights was finally meeting you! Looking forward to our next meetup. Good thing I grabbed that MLB before you 😁

I picked up " Nothings Shocking" at a small local indie store today. It is my favorite, only by a little. Very cool for you to be able to find that Jane's LP..

No, not so much.. 27 with tax included. I didn't want to walk into David's store and not buy anything. His shop is called Discology overlooking the Truckee River downtown. I didn't have any Jane's on vinyl, so I had to have it !... Mountain Song" !!

Great stack of wax!! I need that Janes and that Bob Seger. Great finds. Glad you got The King Is Dead. That’s my favorite Decemberists record. I saw them on that tour twice! Honky Tonk Heroes is a classic! Great stuff Buddy!

I am at the point in collecting where my favorite thing to do is to get together with other collectors for dinner and drinks. I do like the social aspects of it. I would have grabbed that Janes Addiction also. If you came to Detroit it is amazing how many of those Seger albums you can find. I had OGs of all of them but….we know the rest of the story haha.
I think I’ve heard about it. 😉 The intro (video) to your latest podcast with Jim had me cracking up. Jim as the “Vinyl Pusher” should be a regular bit. Cue the trench coat!

Been waiting for this video. I picked up that Jane's Addiction about a year ago. I went online. That Logg album looks and sounds great. I'll have to check it out. Glad you got the Seger.

Waddup K! This was my 4th overall time at the Austin show, but first for the Spring version. Such a great show if just for the variety + quality of pieces they have. If not Austin, Chicago is a good show too. Would be awesome to see you at one of those shows one day! Have a great Sunday sir 🤘🏻
Nice. My wife suggested we take a trip next year, one of my sons just moved to Texas. Props on the Too Short, classic throwback. I’ve actually been looking for a copy of that Latifah, I know they just reissued it. I wouldn’t mind an OG. Just found a promo copy of her “Black Reign” album. Keep it up!! 👍🏽
Highly recommend Austin, and if the timing worked out for you to check this record show out - even better! Yeah, I saw the Latifah got the reissue treatment, but getting an OG for half the price feels pretty good! 😁

Highly recommend the bigger conventions, if for nothing else than the variety (and volume). That BHG came from one of my favorite dealers here; he always has 90s/00s heat and I even traded with him a few pieces this year. Great guy, great dealer!
Awesome Mother Love Bone pickup! I am still looking for an og Apple. That Bloodhound Gang is badass. Hands down their best album and very hard to find.
Thanks! “Apple” was one of the hardest records for me to find (a few years ago), and I love it. One of the records I will last part with. This was the first time I had ever seen this BHG record, so I knew I’d better grab it. 😁 Really appreciate you watching, thanks again!
Seger ‘72 looks gorgeous! Great record. Nice wrap up 👍🏻 . What was your take on Spring vs. Fall show?
Small sample size, but definitely more vendors at this spring show vs the fall ones I’ve attended. Also higher prices…but the market continues to push used vinyl that way, so probably more reflective of the market versus the timing of the show. I also felt there were more store owners buying for their shops at this one that the fall ones in the past. Just my two cents!
Great video. I got that wlp Seger last year from record safari, glad u got it, apparently bob doesnt like that album. Mother Love Bone is my favorite Seattle band!!

Damn man !!! MLB, Seger '72 and Walking to Clarksdale .... I have yet to track that down.
I totally screwed the pooch and left out that story on Walking to Clarksdale. Was part of a trade I made with a vendor on some trade pieces I brought with me to be able to knock off a couple high dollar records. Was PUMPED to grab that 🙂

Ron Carter sure did get around. I don’t understand why Bob Seger doesn’t like his early albums. I think they are great. I must say you picked up some great records. I’ve watched some other Austin Record Show videos and they are showing pretty common stuff.

I found a VG+ copy of Bob Seger - Back in ‘72 at a Half Priced Books for $30 probably my best find at a HPB. They had it locked up in one of those boxes, and when I say it with that price I couldn’t get the kid working the counter over there fast enough to unlock it so I could look at the record. It was the last of pre silver bullet band Seger albums I needed.
Love me some HPB. Have pulled some killer pieces from them over the years, but none comparable to your pull on this Seger, WOW! $30? Crushed it!

I've already complimented you on the Outlaw so I'm not going to do it again Chance😄. Did the Cymande come from the convention? Such a great group. Mines a vg copy and I should have minted up years ago as the prices have gone up dramatically recently. I bought the Queen Latifah lp at the time of release but I no longer have it. Weirdly I have no recollection of getting rid of it. Old age will do that to you 🥴. Cheers Nige
Yeah, the Cymande was the last record I bought during the convention. I’d been to that same vendor a few times throughout the weekend, but had not seen it there until that point. Took that as a sign it needed to leave with me. Is “Vinyl Karma” a thing? Or just another thing I use to justify these purchases? 🤣 PS - I’m with you on old age - I can’t remember what I had for dinner on Friday 🤣

$30 for the early bird is extravagant. I went to the Orange County Record Show 3 times. I got off work at 6:30 AM and drove straight there and paid $5 for the early bird. I was out within an hour.
It’s only $10 in Chicago, and $5 in STL. The $30 does cover all three days in ATX. Rumor has it I may have been graciously given a coupon code for the event. 😉
@@ConcertBuddie $30 for the whole show is not as bad. I was thinking $30 a day is crazy. I’ve never really been into conventions and record shows.

I’m curious what outer sleeves are your go to. They seem extra clear and a tighter fit.
I’m a big Vinyl Storage Solutions fan. I use the “tape on body” 12 and 12.75 inch outer sleeves with the separate pocket. If curious, they’ve been kind enough to partner with me on a code (CONCERTBUDDIE or VCP10) to save 10% on orders. They are also introducing a “sample pack” to try out things. Ok, enough commercial 🤣. Chance, maybe I missed something. Are you now responsible for every action taken within the so-called "vinyl community?" If so, please promote my new drinking game...every time the seller during an on-line auction says, "This is a must own!" you take
a drink...but if the seller says "This is a kick-ass record!!!" well, you have to down the entire glass/bottle/can. This way, everyone in the peanut gallery can participate...without having to buy a fifth copy of the same title and/or explaining to their significant other why the car payment will be late this month.😇
That drinking game doesn’t last get long. Good for boozing, bad for buying! And yes, based on other comments here, I’m allegedly a kingmaker of sorts in the Vinyl Community. I’m not putting that on my resume, let’s put it that way ⬅️
