This is what started it all for me... or to be precise this is what rekindled the spark. After smashing up a few painstakingly built balsa planes in my youth I'd mostly given up on rc planes. Seeing how easily things could be build made me realize that even crashes could be fun if you could knock out another plane by the next weekend.
All the build videos have been on this channel for a while, but now they are not going to do as many build videos in depth because they have a new thing called simple mapping and there is a whole playlist on how to learn how to do simple mapping. But they are still going to do a lot of build videos just not as much I think
The exact angle depends on the individual plane but with a standard prop you should have the motor point down and to the right a litte bit. A shim on the top right mounting hole (as you look at the plane from the front) should help you get started. The plane will still fly if the thrust angle is off a little. When you got itvtrimmed out flying straigh and level and cutting the throttle makes it dive or climb you will know which way you need to adjust your motor. That said, if you have built your pod from a set of FT plans it will already be slightly asymmetrucal to compensate.
Did I miss the part where he installed the two skewers which hold the landing gear ? So I eyeballed the distances in the video and used 1.25" from the front for the first skewer and 1.25" behind that for the second one. I made the holes towards the bottom so the skewers rest on the floor of the pod and shouldn't elongate the holes. My Nutball just balances with a 2s 500 even with the firewall.
for us Brazilians it is difficult to make aeros with your plants, this depron is not sold here with paper, it would be good for you to also make plants for dry depron.
this construction with this depron and hot glue makes the model heavy. not to mention that this upright box, the model is weak in the central part of the box and due to the weight of the model. a little bang on the curb the model broke in half.
By far the most watch flite test video for me.

plz help, im building a pod but learnt that the motor needs to be installed in a certain angle, but what should i do to make it right?
Miss the old intro.
Me too
Are you guys going to move all of the build videos to this channel so it is more organized?

@@therc4784 I know about symbol mapping and the new format, I was asking about the old old build videos from the main channel
Thanks for all the help!
Taking us way back
You guys already made it in simple cub video..thanks once again to sharing this! Great stuff!!
I miss vids likes this...the intro and just everything.
What wire is used for the under-carraige?
Please can you please list the most important thing I need to consider when building a power pod

What is the best plane to make with 1400kv brushless motor, 30A ESC ? (for biginner)?
Can anyone suggest a lipo, available in the UK, as currently none of the variations are available by any manufacturer?

Can I make the propeller run clockwise instead of counterclockwise?
Swap any two of 3 leads on the esc to motor!
Chiedo per cortesia qual è il nome tecnico di questo tipo di foam
Grazie
Awesome! Thanks a lot! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Please where can I get white foam board online
Because it's hard to get here

links not working
Did you stop selling the white foam board
Yeah, they only sell the brown which is water resistant. You can get the white stuff at dollar tree if you live in the US
Yes, they stopped selling the FT Maker Foam, due to vender quality issues. If the issues can be resolved, it could return later.
This video was made back in the day where they would go to dollar tree to buy foam
Why is the video capped at 720p tho?
This was filmed almost 10 years ago. It’s just a reupload from their main channel.
So early that youtube say "no view"
Btw why reupload?
