That seller knew it was fake you could tell from his response as he didnt want ebay involved, he was hoping some poor shmuck would of bought the game and be non the wiser.
Those GC big boxes do have a sticker on the lip (i have the full set) tricky to get them not damaged! with hindsight you might of been better paying the £100 lol
Jason at get gaming is a top bloke hes at the events (was at blackcountry)

Yeah I thought I spotted his wares at the event. The 100quid jobby was damaged in the same way. It's all good 👍

When I was selling off my retro game collection on eBay. I'd open the more valuable cartridges and take pictures of the PCB to show it was an original legit product. Unfortunately...
In this current era of repros, fakes, and bootlegs.
This should be standard practice for sellers.
I'd go as far to say if a seller of a high priced retro game refuses to show the PCB in the listing. You should pass on the item.

Yeah good bit of advice that. We need to do it more often

I also had many issues with eBay sellers selling fake/repro stuff. It's annoying but it will happen. Sometimes I feel like they might come visit me at my house and beat me up hahahahaha
