If you run the same diodes from the 85 pin of your fog lamp relay to the 85 pin on the hi beam, it'll keep your fog lights on while the hi beams are. I ran my diode from the low beam to the high beam and the fog lights to the high beam. Now I need to do my DRL as well!
Sweet!!!! I do a lot of nighttime driving 20 miles on county roads to work each day, this will vastly improve visibility. Have tried holding the lever back to get the same effect but didn't want to spend the $$$$ to buy a relay conversion. Thanks for the video and instructions.
Just did this to my 2005 HD Duramax 4x4. I went with the 3 diode, When I turn on my high beams, I have the lows, highs, fogs, and day running lights. I can still run my low beams and manually turn on my fogs too. Thanks for the great info it worked well.
actually the 6-hi mod would run to the FOG LIGHTS so you could have HI's, LOW's and FOG's all running at the same time, but anything over 4 forward projecting lights at one time is illegal in most parts of the USA
Did the same mod to my 2002 blazer. Only difference is the drl are the low beams. And so my 6 hi are the low, high beams. And my fog lights. Looks awesome!!

This worked for my 2003 Chevy z71 Tahoe but instead of putting a diode to the drl I did it to the fogs, so when I switch to gigs the low beans stay on and so do the fogs
Never had that problem before, HIDs actually pull less current than the factory lights, did the problem go away? I'd check all the battery connections and grounds make sure everything is tight.
With this could you do the same thing to have the fog lights stay on as well? Thank you for sharing I am seriously considering doing this as I do lots of late night high deer area driving.
I don't care about the driving lights being on so can I exclude the driving light relay and also which direction for current flow should the diodes be installed. Thanks, great video
Thanks but it would really help if you showed the direction the diode band should be and the way they are inserted from one relay slot to the other. It is all very simple but for the first time guy, it helps to show every step clearly.
Thank you.. now I just want to do my fogs to come on with lows automatically which I’ll play around with. I’m assuming adding another diode reveres from low 85 pin to fog 85 pin. I think that’s legal lol

I did the same thing many years ago with my bike, worked well. Are those HID's just a drop-in conversion? Isn't there an issue with the way the beam disperses? It's my understanding that to get a proper beam pattern HID's beams have to be focused with a projector arrangement - a lens in front of the element - whereas standard halogens use a reflector behind them.

Because on my shows me the 85 low bean at the rigth down coner shut I connect at the one
so can I do this with just wire? I tried it with just wire and even on low all my lights are on. how do I fix this?
The diode only allows the current to flow in one direction, whereas the wire allows it to go either way (allowing the low beam to power the high beam without the need of the high beam switch)
somebody can help me because my Dtrl not work and I already checked the relays and fuses And their are good
