      yes i totally relate to your comment, it's happening in my household as well, my mom believes men will always be men therefore i am not allowed to wear shorts or tanktops or anything of that nature at home because "dad" might get aroused. Me personally if i know my husband gets aroused seeing my own daughter in shorts then it's HIM i should get rid of, not my daughter's shorts!!!!

      I feel he was grooming the boy. He couldn't keep his hands off him and the way his eyes light up while looking at him or talking to him is disgusting. It was completely different than the way he spoke to or looked at the girl. However, the girl lost her spark at some point and looks totally broken by the end so something happened to her there.     I must admit that their kids are very sweet but overy protective and strict parents can also lead to teens eventually rebelling.
    Their kids are bound to experience the real world one day and the parents won't then be able to shield them. The key is to just teach your kids right from wrong so that they can make good decisions

      Naw!! I’m sure the children can express themselves! They would do so with calm and manners, polite words and not the disrespect that Anastasia and Eden were used to giving their parents (due to unresolved grief, anger or other activities; the drinking and partying underage)… it’s fine to curate your children’s environment and entertainment!! Especially in todays mixed up culture, total disregard for ethical standards and morals! What will they learn on tv? Fantasy, explicit content, immortality, propaganda agendas and more.

    Those children (from the strict parents) have the same 'look' on their faces as my siblings and I did 48 yrs ago: we all were emotional messes as adults. We were controlled...and did not know how to 'feel real'. Bless their hearts.

      There are different ways to get through to these two young people. The young man was having problems with his biological father and why his mom did not let him have his dad in his life for so long. The young lady has both parents, but needed some motivation to obey her parents and have discipline.

    Discipline and encouraging strong work ethic is important, yes. Leading by example is great. Teaching blind obedience and having so much control that your children can't branch out and explore their own individual interests and become their own person is wrong. They are people, not property.

      The strict father was even using guilt tripping. Pushing the idea that saying no to their parents should make them feel bad. Saying it's embarrassing that they didn't want to do the work at the thrift shop. Those are forms of guilt tripping. That makes them even more vulnerable to potential gaslighting later on, because they're taught to that they should feel responsible for the other person's feelings.

      They're not, they just have different standards and ways of living. These parents are strict and just so happen to be religious. They are probably the most strict and overprotective family I've seen so far on this show.

    U may not like these parents for some of their rules but you have to admire the fact of how calm and collected they stayed the whole time

    the mum seems lovely but why is her modesty excuse that the men may feel “uncomfortable”? if the men in her household and city can’t control themselves that is their issue and the girl shouldn’t need to change for mens needs !
