6” 1/2” black carriage bolts… but we put some extra reinforcement under the deck boards since we knew what we were going to do prior to the whole build
@@A.G.T.A Thanks for this video! Did you end up using the lag's you show in your hand or did you end up doing 6 1/2 inch carriage bolts with a nut on the underside of the deck? Curious because I added blocking under the deck boards and based on what you said I was potentially going to just double up the blocking and lag through both unless you used carriage bolts/nuts in which i'd just drill the holes and wrench them down. Thanks!
@BestBucks we did a bit of both… where we could reach, we used a few carriage bolts, but anywhere that was tough to reach we drove lags in… carriage bolts would be ideal to use the whole way since it would take a hurricane to pull them up!
@@A.G.T.A Hell ya thanks sir. I have to go into the joist for the front two holes and then blocking for the back two holes. I'll probably end up with a combination of both lags for the joist and carriage for the double blocking. Thanks again - keep up the videos!
Thx for your explanation 👍
Very welcome 👍 I hope it helped and you’re enjoying your new privacy wall!
You’re awesome!
❤️❤️🙏🙏
What bolts did you use to anchor the posts to the deck?
