Gary a little tip for you on the TIG welding get yourself some 309 filler rod its what should be used when welding steel to stainless or when your not sure what your welding. My got to gas lens cup is a 6 and my gas is set to around 18 cfm. one other thing you need to do is to separate you steel grinding wheels, flap discs, etc. I use a blue mark for my stainless wheels and etc. and red for my steel grinding and flap wheels.Use only stainless steel brushes do not cross contaminate a brush used for stainless on steel. Also TIG welding likes every thing very clean wipe down with acetone before welding, clean bright metal is your friend. Just a few of the many tips for TIG welding hope they help. Rich
Did some welding in the army, but never did any work with stainless. Been thinking on taking a welding class as a refresher.

LEXUS-RX300 they are basic and quite needy! They need quite a bit of attention but it's the sort of vehicle you can mend and modify with basic tools and skills...
