Summer time crappie fishing can be a nightmare for folks that aren't equipped with what the fish want... Next time the crappie wont bite, try these simple steps!!!

that was the entire reason for sharing that part of the trip... I showed it a few times but they were older videos! I found this one in walmart and they tend to hold up a year or two as long as they dont get wet!
Make it waterproof with a water repellent spray.

Man its at least 10 degrees cooler under that umbrella. Been using it for a few years and yes we had it on our raycraft bass boat when it was our only rig... Get you one and protect your skin brother!

I was slammin the slabs the other day. We got these big black and gold crappie. It us fun hooking in to them! They like my red and white spinners.

Great video Ken. Can you please use the active captain to record and post the Livescope footage as well. I love seeing what goes on underwater on the Livescope. Not many people are putting out good livescope footage and I think it will really blow up your channel. As you know its addicting watching the Livescope.
I'd like to second this request for Livescope through Active captain. 3 Pound is using that technique and it's working great for him.
Ive actually downloaded the active captain and never used it! I wanted to make sure i dont turn my channel into a everything livecope kinda deal. Hey man. Love going fish'n with you. Always keep your old Powerbait. If you ever have a jar of it dry up, and turn hard, add water to to make it a full jar, then put it on a shelf for a month or two. Eventually, it will turn totally, to liquid. Then, take that jar, and a bag of little Marshmallows, and go fishing. Put a little Marshmallow on a hook, dip it in your Powerbait soup, and cast it on the waters. It catches anything. The soup adds scent and taste to the Marshmallow (the fish love it).

Hey Ken, Dee turned me on to those glitter blue crappie nibbles and they work really good. The bite was super tough today, so I used not only the nibbles, but also put the garlic slab sauce!! Great to watch you two out there in the heat and humidity, makes me feel better about putting in the sweat again
Dee left some of those glitter blues in my boat, i havent messed with them though. lol. Be careful out in that heat and keep yourself hydrated. If you stop sweating your in trouble!!!

From time to time we practice catch and release also. Its on a need vs not need basis. If we have a full freezer I wont keep anymore. I know plenty white guys that fish for food too though man. lol... Thanks for watching

Please show us how your scope transducer is mounted, especially the metal tiller you use to get the cone back in position. Your troller does not seem to move much while in spot lock. My ulterra moves so much, I have mount the scope on a separate place. Thanks.
There is a company that sells the transducer mounts that bolts on to the mounting holes under the ultrex. The spot lock feature is happy when there is a constant wind, it helps keep it steady. When the lake is full of wind gusts or no wind at all it goes crazy. 8-15 mph wind and it works like a charm

whats the tricks from the bank fishing in the midwest mid January and how to find fish (as in a fishfinder do) when you don't have a boat?
Id be in the creeks. Looking for baitfish movement. Downed trees, or rock faces. Deep holes hold crappie in creeks this time of year. Tale tale signs are sharp turns and high banks.

The minn kota ultrex is remote controlled and has the ability to "anchor" using gps antennas....

Great video hook city!! We all have them days. One trick i use on finicky crappy is drop an earthworm down there. That usually does the trick for me. But you have to get it past the bluegill first but it works. Try it ken!!

Ken, yesterday (Wed) I ordered me a 360* pole mount for the LS called "The PoleDucer" from Shut-Up-And-Fish.
