My husband and I are back in SE Arkansas after 30 yrs in the Atlanta, GA. area. We go fishing most days twice a day. Retirement is life. We fish from the bank for whatever is biting except Gasper Goo. LOL, We fish in the tributaries from the Mississippi River. We can't be choosy with no boat but we are praying and saving for one. Fishing is so relaxing.

Great narration. My favorite part is that you both keep your PFDs on while on the water. Falling out of a boat is no joke. The best swimmer drowns if they bump their head on the boat or a stob/log if/when they fall.
Neat use of the fish finding technology.

Gentlemen, I have to say that that video tutorial on Bluegill fishing was spot on and amazing! I only wished that I was there enjoying it all with you both. I grew up fishing the conventional way for Bluegill, Crappie, Catfish and trout, but I eventually moved up to Flyfishing for the fish I typically target which still include all the above species and I have a blast doing it. But nothing will bring you back to your childhood like grabbing your rod and reel or cane poll and a bobber and sliding that red worm on a hook and enjoying the nonstop of bites from fish for hours! Whether your catching to eat or releasing after caught it is a non-stop action that will get your heart rate going and put a big stupid grin on your face wether your 5 yrs old or 50 years old like myself! It will make lifetime memories, so take a young person out fishing and introduce them to Bluegill, Crappie catfish and so on. You will create a fishing monster who will pass knowledge forward to our youth and keep ‘this sport growing strong for many generations and leave a ton of life lasting memories for all to reminisce about! I personally thank you for your service through video, keep up the incredible work! God bless and take care. Bob

    Hello Hook City TV,
Them was some of the most colorful, beautiful Bluegills I've seen in a long time. My Grandfather had a house on a lake in Michigan, and we done cleaned it out of those Big Beautiful Bluegills. They were delicious eating, although I wish we had left some for years to come. It was a huge Bluegill bed that was close to a large State Park, which I'm sure also put a ton of pressure on that bed. back in the day people went fishing strictly for food, not like today.

Everyone listen no more catch and release..if you don't eat them give them away
You never need to throw a fish back .
      Your only killing the lake.
There over crowded and not enough food for all the new ones as it is .
Especially in smaller ponds say under 5 acres.

Just found your channel. Something I do is at least once a month during spring and summer is try and give fish to an older person or family that could use them. Wish some of the fishing channels would do that. Helping those can't get out themselves.

Regarding giving fish away, Ken does that regularly!! Whenever anyone mentions needing “groceries”, he fills them with TROPHIES!!!
      Thanks again for the support!
