Thank you for sharing your photographic technics such as the one about panning. I learned a lot from other videos on selective aperture enhancement on masked area. You preferred 2.8 on a 400mm prime before. I loved the crisp images of elephant trunks 😊. Now 5.6-6.3 on 200-600 does not look bad at all. Your newer material is so much beautiful especially when upscaled to 4K on a projector. Do you shoot electronic shutter at all? Thanks again.

Hi! Thanks very much glad to hear!
I was only borrowing the 30mm 2.8 from sony for short while, so that's why I'm back with my 200-600mm. However the 300mm is an incredible lens and definitely something I'm looking at upgrading to.
I dont use electronic shutter, mostly because it gives bad rolling shutter on my A7rv, but I also like the sound of the shutter :)

Beautifully edited video. Behaviour of the drivers in the park does disappoint when the y all chase the animals. Wish they has the discipline of the reserves in South Africa and limit vehicles for a time duration

Hmm l find it a little disturbing seeing a dozen four-wheel drives following about ten feet behind lions if this is common practice maybe they need to change things a bit. Sure, the lions look relaxed but surely this is not what nature intended.

Yes it is not ideal, and I purposefully kept that clip in to show the reality of safari in certain areas. As much as I also wish it wouldn't be like this, and in a perfect world these areas could continue to exist without it, we don't live in a perfect world and you must keep in mind how many jobs tourism brings in these areas. The alternative is for many people to loose their jobs, the economy in these countries struggle even more, and what essentially would happen is all the animals would be poached and we would loose these protected areas to development or farming.
In other safari destinations, the amount of cars are limited and you will never have more than two cars per sightings, however the politics behind such areas are very different, and also bring up the prices a lot.
So it's a constant give and take, picking your poison, and as much as I would prefer it to be no cars, the lions are (as you could see) not bothered by them, and the tourists in those cars are literally the only reason the lions can continue to exist in the wild.
      Hope this explains things!
