Another great video, thank you! I have owned my L6 for over 5 years now and its still going strong. I purchased the orange peel reflector with it so I have both. I did the tail and head wire spring mod and use the IMREN purple 5500mah cells that I purchased with the flashlight. Cells still going strong. I did not buy the short tube for it which I regret because I don't think its available anymore. I can purchase the L2 host from Mountain Electronics, the L6 and L2 tubes are interchangeable so I can run a set of 26350's for a shorter look.The great thing about the L6 is its ability to run for long periods of time, still a great flashlight! Thumbs up!
@@smotheredchrome Any reason why you didn't go for an XHP70.3 in this? Its supposed to have more throw and better beam quality than xhp70.2, right? I can't wait to see how the sst70 performs in the L6 too. I have the thrunite catapult v6 and that one (I think) has sst70 in it and it appears so green at lower levels.
Thank you I appreciate your comment 🙏 I have a 70.3 with smooth reflector, I wanted a 70.2 with smooth reflector as all my others are op reflectors, I believe the 70.3 has more throw and less lumens vs the 70.2 and far as beam quality they both look excellent to me, I will definitely do some test on comparison.
I've had mine for a few months and I'm very happy with it. Got it with the gtfc40 at 2000k op reflector but I ordered the smooth reflector as well and I prefer the smooth reflector tbh
@@smotheredchrome I would say with multiple cells configuration, a certain risk need to be addressed. One way is just to employ protected cells for that extra safety. And if possible, a matched pair if using non-protected cells from reputable manufacturers. As it is, this L6 is very handsome, and I really like those really deep fins for the heat dissipation. I also purchased L6 from 70.3 Hi 6500K and a smooth reflector is probably not quite the right choice for this led chip. The reflector throws some halo rings and the hot spot is not completely clear, but at a greater distance of more than 50m these artifacts are imperceptible. I also noticed that there is no cap on the xhp 70.3 Hi. To this day, I myself do not know what this modification is for, and according to the data sheet, this modification only applies to the xhp 70.2 and 70.3 HD models. I think that this modification has a different distribution of light, which will most likely eliminate these mentioned artifacts in the case of a smooth reflector. Therefore, I think that the OP reflector, which I have already ordered and will try to compare, will be a better choice specifically for the xhp 70.3 Hi.
I have the 5500 lumen version more than 1 year I have just refitted it with 2 official from Convoy extension rings and 2 2680 (6800 mah claimed) batteries of course no increase in output but I'm expecting longer run and rest times, also of course, strange noises in the night ? it has a certain "authority' and increases your sense of security

Love this form factor. That silver anodizing looks sickk! I have an L7 and an L6 both (xhp 70.3 w/ a smooth reflector). Both are amazing powerhouses. I would like to know what kind of driver is in the L6 XHP 70.2/70.3? I could not find any info on that anywhere.
