There are some nice drivers for this beast. Mine does 20% more output, but runs a bit hot after a few minutes.... 😄🔥This is my best value for money multi purpose light, and you can hammer a nail in a tree with this L6.

Hello Charles. Does the turbo mode memorized after turned off the flashlight? i.e. Runiing it on turbo mode, turned it off and then back on, it will be on turbo or high mode?

It depends on you for the Convoy is heavier and bigger while the Q8 is smaller and lighter in weight. If you are going to use the light for long haul and throw then I would choose the L6. Thanks for watching!

4:01 those batteries hace sucumbed heads in the batery it seems; but then how they make contact when you put in flashlight?

@@CharlesBridgTec but those seems are totallay on the level of batterie's body - so how they can make contact with each other in a long flashlight?; i saw otherwise now some Vapcell bateris on Ali and seems they are realy 6200 mah - i would buy those but i am afraid that they look with total ''no top'' [outside of batteries body], not even 0,5 mm-es] on the positive part..
They are not totally flat. But if you do have concerns you can buy little magnets and put them on your cells and they are cheap. If the batteries you want are affordable I would get them and try the magnets. I use them on a few of my lights.

@@CharlesBridgTec but let me put simple; You tryed out as putting them one ofter the other/or on top of each other , and had contact in the flashlight?
I run ezfan in my L6 and they work just perfect but they rattle inside the light. I have also got a pair of keeppowers which don’t rattle at all but the light makes a buzzing noise on high mode

Nice light! I have the sofirn c8f and was wondering what battery you would recommend as a replacement with the highest mah and output?
i have a sofirn 21700 4000 mha 40A battery to mine c8f. it works fine.
Depends on whether you have the C8F or the C8F 21700. Sofirn's kit cells are good values, but I would use a Samsung 30Q for the "normal" C8F. For the larger tube, Vapcell 5000mAh, EizFan 5000mAh, or Samsung 48G (4800mAh) are all high-drain 21700 cells with long runtimes.
I've had 2 of the C8F 21700 lights (gave them as gifts) and just ran the Sofirn cells in them in my testing, but they likely don't produce the max lumens possible. I tend to care more about "practical" lumens, which is what the light will do with a typical (good) cell. If you need a brighter light, you probably need a different light.
I don't think the C8F 21700 is truly a 3500-lumen light. It likely does 3000 lumens normally. It's a very nice light with a combination beam and the square-cut threads are smooth as butter, but I think the lumen rating is too high. Sofirn's ratings are usually spot-on, but maybe not with this one.

I tend to agree, but the L6 has been available with a number of emitters, so an emitter change is sort of like buying a different color tint and there are 4 tint choices on Banggood (some seem sold out). Convoy offers /tons/ of custom options with most of their lights, so it's impractical to change the model number for every configuration.
The thing that might most easily confuse buyers on Banggood is that an XHP70 is different than an XHP70.2, but there was/is also an XHP50.2 version of the L6, so which one of these should be the "L6+".
It's the L6 host with an XHP70.2 emitter and Convoy is quite popular with flashaholics who understand all these details, so it might confuse /them/ if the model name kept changing ;). "L6-70.2" might be a good solution, but even that fails to tell us that it has the SMO (smooth) reflector, so it's rather complicated.
Hey Charles, what does P2-1A 6500K MEAN? There's all these numbers and letters and I don't want the yellow tint but I want to order the bright white. Help me out so I don't order the wrong light.

Hi Charles, the flashlight is rated at IP68 so it should mean its submersible waterproof? I've tested it and it is not submersible! so either 1. I got a faulty one 2. the rating is not correct or 3. my research on IP68 is not correct (I searched and IP68 is waterproof up to 2m).
Yes at that rating it should be dust tight and submersible but check your O-rings closely. If you see any issues replace them. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec Thanks for the reply Charles, my current L6 XHP70.2 had water go through the mode button and then it somehow leaked into the LED light area (whole flashlight was submerged in water about 10cm for 5 minutes then it started to flicker) and now it only turns on when it wants too, so I guess mine was not waterproof for some reason, I will be returning mine and will buy the same one and hopefully the new one is waterproof, btw the reason why I got the L6 was because of this video so keep up the good work!

Which is brighter in real, haikelite mt07s or this new convoy l6? (the two lights seems reaching the same throw, but haikelite seems better in flood: equipartition floody shine, against convoy)

I'm hooked on the technology ...BUT
Try to find a light that has a long runtime with about 2000Lm's is almost impossible. I was hoping to find a flood with decent distance and a long run time (4hours) ..I was hoping 2x 2650's would cut it. Any Idea's ? Thanks

I have older L6 model with XP70 not 70.2 and orange peal reflector. It is somewhat brighter and larger reflecter makes it more throwy. M3 is a lot more compact. If you want to keep it in a pocket M3 is the way to go. If you want a more throwy that does not fit in pocket, L6. If you have multiple uses, get both.
L6 is not a tight beam thrower though. If you want a thrower, look for something else.
M3 is smaller and heats up quicker. It has only one cell and does not last that long either. For brief use it is ok, for something like longer searching you may like two cell lights like L6 more.

Im using Soshine 5500mAh batteries and when the ring is in place, the flashlight wont turn on.
Do i have to use longer batteries (if they exist) or i have to mod the spring?
