I miss my old #DSL service. It was only 6.0Mbps but I was an AT&T #DSL customer since April 2006 when I upgraded from 56k dial-up with Bell South to DSL Lite 6.0 Mbps. I didn't upgrade from DSL to Fiber yet because my computers were and are still too old. Maybe by Christmas 2024.
I had AT&T DSL internet (500mbs) for the last ten years. It worked great mostly, but in October 2023 and June 2024 it was down for 3 whole weeks! They don’t care about that service anymore! Don’t maintain the wires, I was forced to upgrade to fiber. They didn’t increase my cost, still pay $65 a month now
I still got the old router...I upgraded to fiber like 3 years ago and they installed it with the black router...I do get the advertised speed though like about 950mbps shy of 1gb close enough...still works...
The train is horrible. I don’t hear it too much at night, but my dog does and starts howling so I’ll wake up to howling and then I know it’s the train.
My 210 died after 6 years of reliable service. The 320's are not compatible for those that has a dedicated ONT setup onpremise. My first 320 made by hughes or something like that did work, but gateway keeps randomly freezing up and cause sites to crash or delay for long time. The 320's made by nokia refuse to connect to the external ONT. took 2 weeks with 2 tech visits until 3rd tech saw my 320 and said, that won't work with external ONT's. He put me back on 210's and my problems went away. So the 320's are better off having fiber direct to the 320 to manage. Hopefully they will fix this issue with the 320's to make it work with the onpremise ONT equipment. I would love to go beyond the 1gb barrier but will incur very expensive cost as my switches, router, and pc's only support 1gb atm. 2.5-10gbps equipment are still very expensive and I will have to replace my cat5e to cat 6 or higher to support the faster speeds. It's not worth the cost to get this faster speed for now.
AT&T has a big problem sending those 320s for replacement of the 210s I see it all the time with my friends who work for AT&T They also aren’t trained to replace the 320. Senior text who have been there at least five years no to swap it out with the 210 or run a direct line to where the cat5 where is at so long is it accessible. I try to put videos so that folks can understand what they need
i got a question for you, i recently got AT&T Fiber with the BGW210. My Smart TV, iPhone, and iPad can detect my Wifi signal but not my old Toshiba Laptop (with windows 7)? Is it sending out a signal my old Laptop can't detect?
Your laptop may only be looking for 2.4bg card and your gateway may have had the 2.4 turned off by tier 2. You can use the smart home manager and activate the “guest” network and that’s all 2.4bgn only. Then your laptop will find it. If not then that means the NIC card in the laptop has stopped working. For that purchase a usb Wi-Fi card from like Amazon.
@@purewhips1 I tried creating a Guest wifi account on the "Smart Home Manager" app. Still can't find it on my Laptop. The strange thing is i live in an apartment and can see many of my neighbors Wifi signals (three of which are AT&T). Guess i will have to contact AT&T support?
You have something I can contact you through? I want to try to set up the best internet with atnt and you sound like you know what you are talking about. I have 25mbps for $64 and it’s super slow when I test I get 14-16mbps. So I just upgraded today for $77 50mbps, then come on Thursday
You’re going to the 50/10mbps service. Hopefully they are able to increase it to a 17mhz. That’s also depending on your area. If they are pushing for bonded pair and such. Some area that I’ve seen don’t have 17hz but still have bonded pair. I know att doesn’t guarantee WiFi. As long as you’re hard wired in. You’ll get the 50. But remember. The more devices you add on the Wi-Fi. The more you share inside your home.

The older systems were for sure much simpler and would work great.
Now all these services have to have pristine condition in order to properly work.

The 210 and the 010 for the Ont will still work just fine.
Though being that it’s been 3 years. Might need a new Ont anyways.
Love you.att.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Best ever!!

I have that white Att fiber Fiber can you change the public IP?
Should be in the guid under DHCP. but for all that. Maybe get a static ip address.

Yo!
Neither both suck.
Both have worked.

AT&T is garbage
The company is crap. But the techs and the fast internet is great.
Management on up are garbage.
