I love laying down Laura Mercier caviar shadow sticks as either one and done but most of the time I used 3 different shades and blend. Au Natural in the crease, Strapless over the lid and Cocoa in the outer corner. Blended I get the exact taupe look I’m after. I think it’s somehow working with my skin tone! 😂 edit: forgot to mention that it lasts all day and doesn’t crease, at least not on my lids.
Colourpop reformulated their shadow sticks earlier this year - the shimmer shade you have is the new formula but the matte shade that you decluttered was in the old packaging. Thanks for another incredibly helpful and informative video.
I have two of the REM beauty liquid shadows but I’m not too keen on them. I find they don’t blend as my favorites, and that they have a rubbery/gluey finish I don’t like. But they don’t budge. I’m a little surprised you don’t have Khaki from Laura Mercier! Its probably my favorite shadow stick and that grungey, greenish, dirty bronze color.
I love shadow sticks. They're my favorite formula and the only shadow (besides Viseart) I still use. Soooo glad you recognized It Cometics shadow sticks. It's my favorite formula along with Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier.
The Fenty beauty ones are surprisingly good! I love the Bobbi brown, kvd and Laura mercier. The nyx jumbo sticks are not for oily lids. It always creases.
Absolutely love the KVD shadows, I have every color, they're gorgeous. I'm not a fan of the Armani but do love the Bobbi Brown sticks. I adore your eye-shadow vids, and while being in the industry for a long time, I never tire of cosmetics in general. Thanks for all you do! :)
Same. I adore the KVD ones. But they like discontinued a few shades and aren’t focusing on launching new ones. I’m quite disappointed because I wanted a huge collection 😅
I recently tried the rem shadow “science fair” which is a bright metallic purple- blue and I was amazed with how it didn’t budge even with micellar water at first
i loveeee the old sephora shadow sticks. i would love to see a video on the rem beauty liquid shadows. stila’s pearlina is beautiful and i still love the ones i have, but i hate that some dry up. the sephora liquid shadows lightning and all day are really pretty. i like the one size matte cream shadows a little more than the shimmers. i always pick up a different smashbox cream shadows when they’re on sale and they have awesome shades. the dm color fixes are incredibly beautiful and you get soooo much product, and the range is amazing!!! i’m dyinggg to try the byredo cream shadows!!! i keep forgetting to pick up the kaja liquid shadow and winky lux liquid shadow. the mufe shade i want is always sold out. i’m gonna keep my eye out on the by terry shadow stick. i love the NEW colourpop shadow sticks, and the matte sticks are great also. i’m not a fan of the reformulated nyx jumbo sticks at all. i love the elf shadow sticks and i can’t find the older denim blue shadow sticks and i’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for a replacement, but i do loveeee the newest ones they released. sydney grace makes amazing cream shadows, and my bond and cliff jumping are favorites. i reallllly want to try a couple of the jones road and mob beauty. the amts shadows look pretty. i loveeee moira but their shadow sticks are my least favorite products from them, and i think they need to be reformulated. ulta makes great cream shadows. you should definitely do a “buy this not that” video. the revlon shadow sticks are soooo hit or miss. i have to pick up some products from hard candy. i’m soooo mad that the kiko milano eyeshadow sticks aren’t on ulta anymore. ok, i reallllly need to try beauty pie. this was a great video. i’m looking forward to affordable shadow videos. 🥰🥰🥰
The blue look you did with the elf cookies n cream was wow amazing! Def would love to see you do one with thrift shop & out of sight, those colours together are drawing me in ❤
Thank you Amanda for making this video, it is very necessary to know what to buy and what not to buy, I was entertained until the end. Could you make a video of the Korean shadows to buy? Because nothing comes here from the United States. Except Nyx and I bought the jumbo pencils based on your recommendations and I love them. Thank you and a giant hug from Chile 🥰
Great video, you put a lot of time into these and I know this is your greatest love. I really enjoy your perspective on eyeshadows and it has altered my thinking and buying habits. Your camera was too far away from you hand and it got worse halfway thru. We could not see you applying the product and you showed the final look pushing your hands not forward enough and not for long. Thank you I love this type of video though.
Sometimes the shades are not okay and sometimes the formula isn’t right. Are there particular colours or pigments that are more problematic or is colour all personal preferences? Thank you for putting in all this work. Today and everyday your thoughtful and thorough reviews are very much appreciated.
Love these videos and your methodical/precise approach, thanks Amanda! Quick question: do you have any thoughts on a similar video for colour correctors (apologies if you've done this already and I've just missed it!) Whilst I'm an entirely different skin complexion and undertone (medium deep overtone/cool undertone), with severe grey hyperpigmentation/under eyes, I'm sure there's theory and notes that are translatable and I'm curious to see how you approach this specific topic!
Have you ever tried the Girlactik eyeshadow sticks? I am very interested in how grippy they are. I also find the VB shadow sticks to be more grippy and they stay on my oily eyelids longer than the Bobbi Brown and the Laura Mercier. Would you consider reviewing Girlactik?
Now I wonder about your favorite eye primers too! The huda cream shadow look so beautiful (packaging wise for sure). It's tempting to pick one up haha.
I like the R.E.M beauty eyeshadows. I get eczema eyelids and I'm always wary of how things are going to feel or affect the skin there. I prep my lids regardless of what I'm using because of skin issues, so I don't know how they wear on naked skin.
The Sydney Grace liquid shadow I had was so pigmented and dried so instantly I found it impossible! I’ll have to check out your video give it another try
Hi Amanda! Awesome video. Of all the brands you mentioned in this one, I have a few KVD Dazzle Sticks & a few Bobbi Brown shadow sticks. I have a few more from some other brands, but don't own too many cream/liquid shadows. What I've found with the cream/liquid shadows that they'll look amazing upon initial application, but then some of them seem to either dry down a bit dull, or they might dry down & look a bit scaly & not sure what might cause that. Any thoughts? Any input would be great. Thanks!
Those nyx ones have been so disappointing for me. They crease when I try to use them all over the lid and as eyeliners they don’t seem to stay despite powdering around my lids :(

I love the Bobbi Brown sticks in Moonsotne! It’s always used as my inner corner highlight.

The About Face matte liquid shadows are excellent. The shade Freaked is a great every day look for fair skin and green eyes.

Just saw another video who wasn’t impressed with rare beauty shadows
The armany liquid eyeshadows are the best i have ever tried, amazing texture and finish.
Thanks, I just ordered two It cosmetics sticks. I do have one in epic amethyst and like it a lot. And since it's a beauty sale I got two!
Thanks for the suggestions and what to buy and what not to buy. ❤
I never watch declutters but somehow yours reel me in.
The blue look you did with the elf cookies n cream was wow amazing! Def would love to see you do one with thrift shop & out of sight, those colours together are drawing me in ❤

Omg Zenon, zoom zoom zoom, make my heart go boom boom, my supernova girl! I loved the sht out of those Disney Channel original movies.
Same!!!
Your thumbnail photos are so compelling!! 👏🏻👏🏻
I got the KVD dazzle sticks half off at Sephora for black friday and love them! Picked up Hail Surge, Flash Storm and Electro Bolt.
Kiko has (fairly) recently come out with matte versions of their shadow sticks and they're as good as their other ones.
Love these videos and your methodical/precise approach, thanks Amanda! I dont have a video on this but would love to create one if you all are interested!
I recommend Too Much Tash for a thorough comparison :)
@AmandaZ Yes, I'm interested in color correction. I have eye hollows and as I've aged ,concealer alone isn't cutting it any longer.
I returned the IT cosmetics stick shade. It was dry and did indeed tug mature eyelids. Laura Mercier so much better!
I love your videos the longer the better 😊 😋💖💖💖💖
Would love a no makeup makeup up tutorial using all affordable cream products 🎇

Lol, keep a safety pin with your squeazy tube shadows then it’s easy to poke a small hole to help with distribution. That has saved my walls;)
Now I wonder about your favorite eye primers too!
The huda cream shadow look so beautiful (packaging wise for sure). It's tempting to pick one up haha.
Ulta doesn’t have those metallic liquid shadow shades anymore! I just went to look for Materialistic, and it was nowhere to be found on their website.
I love the Smahbox liquid shadow formula - I think you’d love the taupe shade!
I like the R.E.M beauty eyeshadows. I get eczema eyelids and I'm always wary of how things are going to feel or affect the skin there. I prep my lids regardless of what I'm using because of skin issues, so I don't know how they wear on naked skin.

Could you do a video about the best Color eyeshadow for amber, green, or dark eyes?
Hi Amanda. I love these styles of videos that you do. The mini reviews are awesome. Thanks. Happy Holidays. ❤❤❤
just catching this vid 7 months later the NYX jumbo pencil in dark brown 602 appears to be disco. Darn was looking for a nice brown.
Have you tried Kulfi Beauty?
I was so sad that the Kosas liquid shadow in Globe has been reformulated. Now I’m having such a hard time to find another one any done eyeshadow 🥲
Those nyx ones have been so disappointing for me. They crease when I try to use them all over the lid and as eyeliners they don’t seem to stay despite powdering around my lids :(
Love this videos ! Question I am very deep set eyes so I am supposed to keep mobile lid a light color any suggestions or ideas . Please
Is the Sephora shade taupe/tawny called something else? I am not seeing it on their website.
Lmao that milky way swatch was worth it, sorry your wall had to be assaulted by it first though 😂
would the About Face be in this category? I want to try the rain one...
See her recent liquid eyeshadow declutter for those. (She'd forgotten some in that one so carried them over to this video.)
Do they not have the first two colors you used of the Armani lid tints? I can’t find them.
I’m 25- those ilia liquid shadows made my eyelids look SO crepey and textured. Be warned 😂
I just purchased two shadow sticks from Hard Candy and you wouldn’t know they came from the drug store. So good!
I love this!!!
The new metallic liquid ulta shadows have different names. There’s no breakdance or materialistic now 😢
Can anyone explain me where are those declutters go? To trash?
expired products are thrown away, anything else goes to friends, family, folks in my city
❤❤❤❤
Sephora looks like a dupe of Bobbi Brown
🎉

To be honest? I don’t like Armani cream eyeshadow, and also I don’t like Nyx jumbo sticks
