I have hooded, oily eyelids but I do have four Laura Mercier sticks. I do find them emollient but it’s remedied with a primer and setting powder, that I usually use anyway. I will look into your suggestions though!
Oh my fair lady, you look SO good with that red lipstick!!! I really only have KIKO eyeshadow sticks (a ton because I love them) but sadly I don't think KIKO is easy to find outside of Europe. Next time I send you something, I will send a KIKO one for you to try. They are bomb and so inexpensive!
@@MartinaLily make me a list of products you are interested in. I have tried a lot over the years and honestly have rarely been disappointed. (we have an actual physical store in the city where I live which is kind of amazing, I hope they hang around for a while.)
The hourglass stick is shade dependent on pigmentation. I have the olive color and very hooded eyes and live in hot humid conditions. I have to use a thin layer applied with finger but it’s worked out pretty good. BB I tend to use as a color base for glitter because I believe in the healing power of glitter 😂🎉 inner corner is great also consider the lower waterline. The sticks are very convenient and quick for late days.
My favorite eyeshadow sticks are the Victoria Beckham. I love the colors and I’ve never had trouble with them blending. I do remember they didn’t work well for you! It made me sad! But luckily you have lots more to choose from!! I also really love the Bobbi Brown, and About Face has great ones too at about 1/2 the price. Laura Mercier sticks irritate my eyes. I’ve never liked how they blend anyway. I’ve never tried the NARS, but you’ve peaked my interest! I’ve always wanted to try the KVD Dazzle Sticks! I never have, though! I love this lipstick on you!! 🤩
I absolutely love the KvD sticks! I’ve only tried Flash storm, but plan to pick up more whenever it’s on sale. I also bought the Colour Chameleon in Amythest Aphrodisiac on a whim just because it’s purple and it was on sale. I think that I need to try the one from By Terry - it looked stunning! For a budget alternative I’ve tried the ones from Kiko Milano but they are not great for hooded eyes - but they have some stunning shades! Great video! 💕
I couldn’t 👍 this. I’ll try again later. Great review! I actually like the VB sticks but I only use it under my lower lashes and a bit on my upper lid. I only have two of them though. I really like the Girlactik (sp) formula and I use the Sigma eye primer as a shadow stick sometimes. I like the Hourglass Sticks as well.
Thank you Catherine! Oh yes I have heard the Girlactik ones are good too. Definitely shows that products work so differently for each of us, thank you for sharing xx
I have a few of the LM caviar sticks and really enjoy them. Have you tried the MECCA Zoom sticks? I quite enjoy them too!! PS Your look has totally inspired me. I am wearing a nice glimmering one and done and a red lip today.
Thank you for nice and informative video! About the cream shadows: I have very good experience with Bourjois Color Edition 24H one. I don´t know if it was reformulated, but I almost used it up. I would prefer it to be more matte though. Except of that I own one old Dior cream shadow - I paid a lot of money for it and it creased immediately.
I agree with you on the CT Colour Chameleon sticks. They are pretty budgeproof and I find them great to use as a liner on my top lashline, as opposed to her Cream Shadow pots which I find to be a creasy mess. I haven't found that many cream stick shadows last on me, but I haven't tried Fenty. I have a lot of Laura Mercier and I generally use them as a base with powders over the top. The Mecca Max sticks are just as good as the Laura Mercier as well, for much cheaper.
Agree with you on the CT Colour Chameleon sticks but I mainly use them as eyeliner & they don't budge. I also love the Nudestix crayons which also set down.
I’m slow to catch up to this video but love eyeshadow sticks as one and done or as shadow bases. I’ve tried every brand that we can get here in Australia, except VB as I’d seen not great reviews. My fav are the Charlotte tilbury, I have 4 shades. I love the Mecca sticks, some of the elf sticks, Natio new sticks and the makeup forever ones never budge and have interesting shades. I really don’t love Bobbi or Laura mercier they crease on me. I miss the revlon and the kvd sticks. Thanks for the video
Great video, I enjoyed the reviews. I have hooded oily lids and you absolutely nailed it with your review for staying power and creasing. Bobbi B and Laura M are pretty but they do crease and although they market their longevity I was not impressed. Make Up Forever, and Freck are brands in the US that are worth a try. Make Up Forever has a beautiful green shimmer stick color called Jungle that I think you would really like. Freck sticks in colors Deep Dive (platinum) and Wetlands (bronze) are pretty and intense shimmers. It Cosmetics has nice sticks as well, although I am not as enamored of the colors. All three brands work well for my hooded oily lids.
Ohh thank you! I need to try both of those actually cos a heap of people now have recommended the MUFE one and I love the shade range of the freck ones xx
I love that lippy it looks stunning and I am going to have a look at the fenty and Charlotte sticks I have a by Terry one and live it, great review thanks heaps.😊
Hello I love cream stick eyeshadows. I wore By Terry's "Bronze Moon" for a long time but my favorite color remains the "Misty Rock" from the same brand. On the other hand, I had the Charlotte Tilbury "Black Pearl" pencil but mine dried very quickly and was unusable after a while. Thank you for sharing🥰🥰🥰
I really like the Vieve eyeshadow sticks too! I don’t know what happened to the shimmer shades, they’re no longer available. I saw some comments complaining about them and I don’t know why people would complain about them.
Thank you! I was wondering about those; Kiko stores are very common where I live, so they're probably the easiest for me to get my hands on to try (not to mention the cheapest). I don't want to buy them just because they're cheaper and then throw them out though, so nice to know!
Would you consider including Byredo's Dravite eyestick in a future review? It seems to have some complexity to it that reminds me of some of the pencils you reviewed today. Also, if you do a similar type video for eyeshadow pots, would you be able to add Trinny London products to your content? I don't hear much about this product line and would benefit from your feedback. Thank you!
I tried a trio of the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks and did not care for any of the shades. Not enough color, plus they irritated my eyes; I had to give them away. I am not a fan of cream shadows, but I bought a Kulfi cream shadow in a chartreuse color, and that is very nice.
Thank you! She does yes but she doesn't try to blend them out like I do so maybe thats the difference? I honestly think it was my lid type that they just really did not get a long with haha xx
Wow that Hourglass eyeshadow stick lasted forever on me and I have super super oily lids. FYI Kat Von D released new shades her in eye shadow stick you might like. Love this video. One and done eye shadow sticks and cream eye shadow is non negotiable for me as a base with my oily lids. I thank you and your eyelids for doing eye swatches and review.

Aw thanks Mariam! Aw thank you! Yeah I have tried to get Kiko a few times but I can't find anywhere where I can get them xx

I think for me the best sticks are bobbi brown. But I also like the shimmers from byterry. For matte I also like vieve and sigma

I love this lipstick on you!! 🤩
I have had the CT eyeshadow pencils in amber haze and champagne diamonds. The amber haze is a beautiful bronze colour.
The Make Up Forever Aqua Resist Smoky Shadow sticks are great on my hooded eyes and do not budge. I think they were created for synchronised swimmers!
Ohh I was looking at trying one of them but couldn't get the color I wanted. I'll keep a look out thank you xx

That lipstick just beautiful xx
Thank you so much Deborah! xx
Just prepared my holiday makeup bag and included the kvd flash storm one. I think i took it on every trip since i bought it!
I couldn’t 👍 this. I’ll try again later.

Always a great video! Thanks for that, I will be picking up the fenty stick for sure!
Thank you! I hope you love it too xx

Loved this video! Just my kind of products xx

Always so happy when you have a new video up! Vieve has some amazing matte sticks that you can buy at cult beauty ❤
Great video. I really enjoy these one product comparisons across brands - with the ranking is a bonus~!
I love cream eye shadows, I've only just got back into them. My favourite is Bobbi Brown atm. Thanks a great video!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Agree with you on the CT Colour Chameleon sticks but I mainly use them as eyeliner & they don't budge. I also love the Nudestix crayons which also set down.
I also love the Charlotte Tilbury cream eye pots, they r really beautiful as well ❤❤❤

My favourite sticks are from by Terry ❤😊 i have all colors and they‘re my holy grail 😊
They are sooo good! xx
Great video!! I just bought a Colour Chameleon in green - still in the box. I had better get it out! ❤
Great video, I enjoyed the reviews.

Those look amazing. Do they have holiday sales?
I wore dark pearl as a one and done yesterday! ❤ have you tried the Girlactik shadowsticks?
For anyone looking for some less expensive options Revlon make really nice shadow sticks.
I really like the Vieve eyeshadow sticks too! I don’t know what happened to the shimmer shades, they’re no longer available. I saw some comments complaining about them and I don’t know why people would complain about them.
The Bobbi brown are my go to eyeshadow sticks. Love their formula, but the darkest colors I find a little harder to blend out and get patchy on me.
try Kiko, they are better than the highend ones!

Please include mac paint pots in your cream eyeshadow review. This was awesome. Thank you ❤
I love the zoeva eyeshadow sticks. Such an underrated product ....and brand in general. No one talks about them and all their products are fantastic!!
I love Cocoa by Laura Mercier, I always have one in my arsenal... can't be without
Very GOOD review. Thank you
Julep sticks are the BEST! CLEAN, CHEAP and last all day
Very thorough video. Does your Mum like the Victoria Beckham sticks?
Thank you! She does yes but she doesn't try to blend them out like I do so maybe thats the difference? I honestly think it was my lid type that they just really did not get a long with haha xx
The Nars is such a good product.
The one I love Vieve Silver Mink ..I can’t find!
Make up forever have released some new eyeshadow sticks that I heard are meant to be good. The colours look pretty pigmented and vibrant
Well, I guess I need to try Nars, Byrado and Fenty 😂
EYESHADOOOOOOOW ❤❤
sisley and chanel shadow sticks are the superior to any, maybe closely followed by By Terry, but too bad they werent in your list
❤❤❤❤❤
Ok, but that rem looks like weak sauce next to VB. I think I'd rather go that direction for impact alone.
You really do look like a porcelain doll!
