    The expert doesn't appear to be talking about the basic knowledge that's available online, if you know where to look. I'll suggest the following two individuals who have been pilots and have flown a Boeing 737-800. Neither one is coming to a conclusive answer, but for anyone interested in the protocols involved with incidents like the S.Korea aircraft, the procedures for landing safely, they're both well experienced. Pilot Blog (Denys Davydov) and blancolirio (Juan Brown) both on UA-cam. Some may recognise Denys from his reporting on the war in Ukraine, where he was a pilot who flew Boeing 737 passenger airliners.

    A concrete wall just beyond the end of the runway? Everyone in the plane was alive until the plane hit the concrete block. Who decided to build the concrete block there? The (wheel-up) landing looked sound.

    I say the birds struck the engine but ALSO STRUCK the windshield pearcing it and hitting both pilots and blood and gore over the controls. The co pilot was unconscious and the captain also injured struggled to handle the plane by himself and simply forgot or did not have the time to release the gear while also making a tight turn. Injured and with controls covered with gore he did not have time to release the gear and also caused him to land in the middle of the runway

    I'm not a pilot, but could it be that the runway is too short for flights in rural areas or provinces? Or perhaps the pilot wasn't aware of the concrete wall at the end of the runway?

    It almost seems like a perfect landing. I can’t believe the airplane is intact and skidding along the runway. If it had been more of a bad landing perhaps it would have stopped quicker? However, the speed was too fast so maybe that wouldn’t have helped. Condolences to all.

    No emergency preparations were evident as the plane moved to land without landing gear down. I presume the pilot went for second landing attempt with the landing gears down but halfway engine 2 encountered bird strike and disable the engine as well as the hydraulic system which retracted the landing gesrs . Thus the plane had to land on its belly with all systems down as the plane glided helplessly towards its final faith😊

  • @tedzehnder961
    @tedzehnder961 17 днів тому

    If both engines were out during a bird strike the plane couldn`t have attempted to land,turn around and do it again.From Mayday until landing was 6-7 minutes flying from a low altitude,the palne couldn`t stay up in the air that long.Two bad engines? No way. One bad engine? they could have got the landing gear down.
    I say it was fatigue,panic and not going through the emergency check list or not a whole lot of training on a simulator.

    So 1st, landing gear did not work, then 2nd, bird strike on go around, 3rd, let's quickly land before something else goes wrong, better than safely flying around up here!

    There are various factors being mentioned, such as a bird strike, but the main cause is likely a failure in the hydraulic system.

    • @kbboy101
      @kbboy101 18 днів тому +6

      I don't think so.
      While we need a full investigation to be sure, from what I have seen so far, the most likely cause of this crash will be the pilots who made a hasty and irresponsible landing after getting panicked by a bird strike and the main cause of casualties is that dumb concrete design. There was no hydraulic system failure that couldn't have been handled. I am 90% sure it will be a case of a mishandled emergency.

      @@davidblurton7158 You are assuming someone tried it.
      The standard procedure is to go for a holding pattern to sort things out (i.e., configure the systems). My guess is they rushed through and took a teardrop approach to immediately land again giving them very little time to go through the procedures or prepare the plane for landing configuration. The lack of time resulted in many pilot errors.
