Thank you for videoing this! Real video is the only way we can understand whats happening. You are not " disrespecting anyone by documenting this"...if anything just the opposite....you are honoring these communities by documenting this and shedding light on these events. Praying for everyone! Our hearts are just broken as Americans 😢🙏
I found you on YT. So I'm Double Dipping your channels. I love you because you aren't negative channels . You're not in the blame game for politics. You are about the people who so desperately need help. God bless you so much the good you represent. Prayers for for all.
I've lived through one of these events and am still feeling the effects years later, and am watching this footage feeling all the negative memories coming back. The clear long term lesson is that there's nothing wise or sane about not blaming the politicians who are blocking action on preventing climate change and ignoring that they have a major responsibility for how their actions have impacted me and others, and likely will again for many more, by ignoring all the world's scientific bodies for years. Right now, people in the thick of it, probably won't have much benefit from focusing on that, except for how they might cast a vote in an upcoming election. In the long term though, the best and only real help is preventative so that people don't need this help in the first place.
@@APrettyGoodChannelWe can adapt to climate change, not cancel the Industrial Revolution. We need more science, more industry, and more oil and gas drilling. And we need people to stop telling others what to do and how to live.
I’m up Hwy 151 in candler on Mt Pisgah, we just got power on in my neighborhood yesterday. Unfortunately a tree fell on my house Friday morning when the storm hit. It trapped me in my back bedroom and I had to go out my window but everyone is safe and sound. My kids were with their mom in Marshall and only lost power for 4/5 days. The back 3 rooms and bathroom of my house were destroyed but I’m thankful. 🙏 A lot of people have it worse than me and my family. Keep WNC in your prayers please
I'm so glad that you and your family are okay!! I hope insurance and some good friends can help you out getting the house back together 🙏🙏. We got our power back this afternoon.
This is an important video. People need to see what a true drive through town looks like, and the sheer amount of devastation. When we lived in Charleston, news stations like The Weather Channel would come like clockwork during and after a hurricane, and they would sensationalize the heck out of what had happened. Well, naturally, that desensitizes people, and the consequence of that is, of course, that people don’t believe what is normally hyperbolic now. But it’s clear because of videos like this and others that it *REALLY* is THAT bad. People need to know so that we can do whatever needs to be done to help restore our fellow Americans. Thank you for doing that, Art.
Thank you so much for sharing these updates so we can see what is actually happening. Is there a way to get a list of business owners websites so we can order online when they are able to take orders? I imagine it will take some time to get any brick and mortars back up and running but maybe online orders could help.
I appreciate Art and Bri showing us because I live in Minnesota. I wouldn't know the magnitude of things. I appreciate when he was sharing to bring enough to that heart of prayer. Bring us to that heart of every person that is there helping. My heart is so broken for the people that were affected. I have family and my niece right now was in Florida and she tried to get away as far as she could from the storm and they hope they are safe. II have been praying and I will continue to be praying Art, Bri And every sweet person whose lives are trying to figure out from the devastation. Lord Jesus we lift up each person, family who have been affected. Thank you for the people who are there helping. We ask that each need these precious people need is met. Lord we ask your hand of restoration in lives, homes and businesses. We stand with them ALL from afar. Wrap them in your loving arms Jesus ❤
I appreciate you and your chatter as you drive. Showing the destruction is a step in recovery. It is such a beautiful location and Ashville will rise again!
Thank you for sharing this with us. It's hard to imagine what yall are going through. Prayers for all of you in the area affected by this hurricane. Prayers for those in the path of the next hurricane in Florida.
My heart hurts so bad for the Asheville area. I stayed there overnight a year ago last May, and was so impressed by the beauty of the area, I decided I wanted to come back and spend more time there. My sister and I had made plans to drive the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and spend some more time in Asheville later this month, but our plans fell through. Now I know why. We still want to make the trip when things are up and running again. I know it’s not going to happen overnight. It took several years for Jacksonville, NC to recover from hurricane Florence, and Helene has done way more destruction. Still, I want to return to the area as soon as possible, if just to support the local businesses that are open. I am keeping the whole region in my prayers. Thank you for showing us why we need to keep praying!
Thank you for all these videos you are doing Art & Bri. It’s stunning to see what water and wind has wrought! Keeping you all and the weather torn areas in my prayers.
Thank you so much for the video. My son is in Leichester, and we lived in Hendersonville for 7 years. Every place you have videoed, we have been to. I have wanted to see. what the Arts district looked like, since we have visited that area quite often. I agree with you about the need to keep Asheville in your thoughts and prayers. The mountains are still as beautiful as ever, and so worth revisiting when they are ready..
My heart is so saddened to see the destruction of the River Arts district. My husband and I were just there the second week of September. We walked along the river park for an hour, we toured the French Broad Chocolate Factory and spent nearly two hours at the Marquee mall. We loved Asheville and will definitely be back once they are back on their feet!
Thank you for this, I shared with a resident who fled to Virginia to stay with family. He said it gave him hope in the rebuilding of the community to see where it is today. ❤

Thank you for this footage. I live in Arden and am still without power and cell signal and haven’t been able to properly see the River Arts District aftermath. I found a 5G spot in a random parking lot to catch up on the news. Worse than I could imagine, how terrible.
All of you are in our prayers. I feel so close to you and have been watching quite a few of the UA-camrs in your area for years. It breaks my heart to see so much destruction has happen to All the State hit by Helene. God bless you and thank you Art for all the updates.
This is so hard to watch , even from across the world. Thank you for documenting. Our prayers are with all those affected and with all those helping to reclaim 😢🥰🥰🥰
Great. Now “lift” those prayers for tomorrow’s victims of Milton who are alive and have houses today. Then when lots of them are drowned and/or their houses are obliterated, we’ll know that prayers don’t do anything. You people need to stop praying, which is basically doing nothing and feeling good, and start DOING SOMETHING and feeling good.
Watching all this footage over the last week and a half is mind boggling. This will take not only years, but probably at least a couple of generations for some of those affected to recover. I can speak from experience down on the coast from prior floods from Floyd and Florence where my family had devastating losses each time. Obviously it was no where close to this extreme. Though you may recover material things, you will never recover peace of mind because the thoughts are always with you. Definitely keeping all who have been touched by this in my prayers. I only wish I had the opportunity to go and be boots on the ground.
With so many landmarks gone, thank you for being specific about where you are. Zillicoah is the "brewery and hang out spot", but they're at 9:30 in the vid. The Bywater, just after the biker bar, never brewed and has been closed for years.
Thank you for showing the area. There's a clay supplier that a lot of us were wondering what the building look like if it was still standing. I see the building is still standing. At one point, all you could say was the tip of the roof sticking out of the water from what I've heard.
Thank you for posting this. My work is at 2:54, I used to park right where the roof is collapsed in the corner. What most people don't realize is the amount of rain that happened the day prior. There was standing water on Thursday morning around Second Gear hitting my hood when I drove through it at 8:30AM.
I work in auto claims for a large insurance company, and they have us helping the property department with calls from customers for FNOL (First Notice of Loss). It has been so heartbreaking to hear from our customers who have been affected by the hurricane. I can relate a bit with Arthur. Although I'm not experiencing survivors guilt, I have so much empathy for people who have lost so much and who are still going through it without power and other basic needs, as I sit here working from home in Ohio. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the people whose lives have been disrupted. Arthur, thank you for all you are doing to help people in need and for updating us. I know this is taking a physical toll as well as an emotional toll on you because you are such a kind, caring, sensitive person. Please take care of yourself too!
Thank you for sharing, you are right the regular news media doesn’t give a proper account of what actually happened or how devastating it all is. My heart definitely goes out to all those families who lost loved ones and their homes and businesses. As a grandma my concern is always for the children and I hope and pray that all those who lost their parents will get the love and support they need. Arthur thank you thank you thank you, and please take the rest and relaxation when you need it because it’s so important for your family that you are able to function and carry on. You are an amazing man and can do so much. God bless you all. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁sending love from your neighbors to the far north…Canada
A few years ago I had a family reunion in Blowing Rock and just by chance took the Blue Ridge Parkway over to its Southern end. At Asheville I got off the ramp, toured a little bit and grabbed a bite to eat. It was and will be again a beautiful little town. Even though I did not see it, I'm specifically wondering about Biltmore Estates, I know the village took a big hit but how did the Estate itself fare?
I keep thinking about all the time you spend along the river with Bri and the twins were in the hospital. Thanks for sharing a non judgmental or self interested view of what it looks like out there. I hope to help in the upcoming months when the flood of help dies down. I then hope to help rebuild hiking trails. so much different then when we did the wilderness training
Thank you for sharing this. We were in Asheville back in 2019 and enjoyed the arts district so much. What I’m seeing in your footage is heartbreaking. Sending everyone in WNC prayers from Michigan
Look at the flooding in Texas this summer. The Denmans had a tree fall on the roof of their home while they were on vacation in their RV. The insurance company STILL hasn't done anything!! Yes, this will take years, Art! anything.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I had plans to visit the Dale Chihuly exhibit at the Biltmore - I will be there to support the local businesses as soon as it is safe. God Bless you and your beautiful family and community. I hope you feel our prayers and support from afar.
Art im thankful for you videoing this because the main stream media sure arent, ppl need to see how bad it is so NC can get the help they need. Praying for you all
Thank you for sharing. We are up in Ohio but all of our family on my husbands side lives in the hard hit areas NC/TN. It took 9 days till we could reach them by Facebook to find out about everyone. One of his cousins in Winston Salem is a highway patrol officer and is heading over with supplies. I would love to come to help but I know they don’t want people coming in right now. We are heartbroken 💔 😢. Your videos make us feel a little closer to everyone. And now Milton is heading towards my brother in Florida. We feel so helpless!
Thank you Arthur for showing us what you see, it's devastating, we will remember you all. Keep helping and we will keep watching doing our part from Australia. Hold the fort buddy, so glad you are back with the family. Walked the journey with your twins being born and feel like they are mine as well. Love your family.🙏🙏🙏❤❤
You have done a much better Job getting the news out than any reporter, where's the help for thses people! Thank you! God be with you and bless you All!
Thank you, ART BRI. I agree with you. The best coverage and truth comes from you and others. I APPRICATE YOU AND ALL THAT HELP IN JESUS'S NAME AMEN 🙏 ❤❤ SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 DON'T FEEL GUILTY. AS YOU KNOW, YOUR FAMILY NEEDS COME FIRST. YOU NEED TO PRAY AND GET YOUR STRENGTH FROM OUR LORD.❤❤❤
Yes yes, we have to keep praying and donating for months after this, these people have nothing now. I Pray God shows his power and restores these towns and people and business pre flood and disaster.
Cell phone videos are way more dependable than the mainstream . . . but many just want to hear a mainstream story, whatever it is, and not to really look into things. And that's their right, no? There are still plenty of weirdos like me who want to be free of all the news dependency. And I believe Art is such a one. And thank you for this, Art.
What does a temporary bridge look like??? Thanks for sharing and allowing us to see the absolute devastation. I have been coming to that area for the last 3 years. It will be different next year for sure.
Thank you for this thorough, painful tour of Asheville’s destruction. Asheville was an amazingly vibrant place before H Helene. Hopefully love and resiliency of spirit will produce a special Asheville again.
The loss is overwhelming. Although I would love to see the place rebuilt, I can understand business owners not wanting to rebuild in areas that could be subjected to the same type of flooding again. Many businesses get through the year on leaf season tourist and I don’t think there are too many businesses left now. Insurance isn’t assisting in many cases. No flood insurance coverage for the majority there. I don’t think it will ever be the same. I am from NC and have spent years in these affected areas. it’s heart wrenching to see these all the areas destroyed by this storm.
Have you heard anything about Carolina Knife & their employees? My husband worked for the sister company here in Ohio but is now retired. Praying for all there & for all in Florida as Milton is barreling down upon them! My brother in law & family live in Bradenton! Right now it looks like it will hit that city!
Sending healing light from my heart. I love Asheville , my heart goes out to everyone and the whole community… been crying for a while now …and all the WNC towns …. Praying
Thanks for sharing updates. Learn nothing from media which I follow thru a neighbor, they report nothing worth while and paint a very untrue picture of what happened and is happening. Please take care. Prayers and God bless
Arthur, is there a commonly used chainsaw chain size? I'd like to order some and send them out to an organization in the area or to yall. - prayers and love from Oregon
Was the museum in Ashville spared with all the beautiful works of the Mt. people exhibited? I’m in Texas and so appreciate your showing us the actual damages. No one else has done it except for the locals in this area.❤
Continued Thoughts& Prayers for all. Your hearts are good and helping people is great but plz take breaks and time for yourselves to process all of it.
Chain…two is one, one is none… hope you find one! Thank you for revealing what the so-called press won’t. I’m sharing with others who are having trouble believing it.
Thank you Art. It’s helpful to see to understand the devastation. Continued prayers🙏 I have heard Asheville is slatted to be a smart city along with Charlotte?
Yes, a lot of the INDUSTRY even - which all are struggling right now - will not be able to come back. And yes, support from all over the country IS THERE and will be there. People won't know that until they can get out and see them!. So just know help is there, help is coming. Folks need to make sure they are accounted for at the relief centers - so planners have a HEADCOUNT, and an idea of needs, funds needed. Whole towns, roads, bridges, railways, are just GONE. PEOPLE HELPING THEMSELVES, PEOPLE HELPING OTHERS is the way to go. If you can: clear what you can, starting from where you are, toward help. Then when help gets to you, they don't have that to do. Pay attention to vehicles in your area, what is getting through. If deliveries, mail, equipment are getting through. Do what you can. DON'T put yourself in danger, though. Thanks for this, Bri. Good look at the status of things, the good, and the destroyed. FYI, reports are that your area, west, are the hardest hit.
This is definitely devastating. Seeing cars flipped over in this video and things pushed around is really awful. I know when we had Hurrican Sandy that destroyed loads of NJ, so so so many PSEG and other companies came to help out. We had a tree that fell on our house as did our neighbors. The houses near the ocean had it the worst and were just gone or moved around. It is so hard to see these videos because it wakes you up to remind ME that this was us just over a decade ago. Thanks for showing this video. The water looked so high still a day ago from this video! To think that another hurricane is on its way too. Wow. I am so sorry. May God provide for everyone.
We love you all! You are our brothers and sisters…we are Americans! Disaster brings us closer together and reminds us what is really important. God bless and keep you all!
I can't imagine the cement plant being fully operational w/o the trains, but can't see rails being fixed throughout the counties for a very long time... that is if they look anything like the destroyed roadways. :(
Praying for Asheville 🤗❤️😢. Yall are only a two hours and 45 minutes from where I live and I know friends that are up there and were traumatized by what they saw. They are young college guys and they saw it in Asheville and in Boone. They are cousins so yes they were shaken !
The news media is not reporting that much out of Ashville or the surrounding areas. It’s like they don’t want folks to see the havoc that’s been wrought on you guys. Praying God’s hand over all of this situation. Thanks Art for bringing what’s really happened there.

Then when lots of them are drowned and/or their houses are obliterated, we’ll know that prayers don’t do anything. You people need to stop praying, which is basically doing nothing and feeling good, and start DOING SOMETHING and feeling good.
When we lived in Atlanta we would drive to Asheville for summer concerts on the green and I am devastated by what has happened to this area.
Hello Sharon 👋
Thank you Art for sharing... be safe as you fulfill your purposes everyday in Jesus.
Continuing to pray. ❤
Praying for all of your area and Florida as well. It looks like another direct hit for them.
Hello Sandra 👋 How are you doing today?
Praying for everyone. I am so sorry for what has happened.
Thank you for showing this. Please periodically come back and give updates.
Thank you for truthful reporting.
Prayers Sent and I'm glad you're showing this video so we can really see what's going on up there
You have done a much better Job getting the news out than any reporter, where's the help for thses people! Thank you! God be with you and bless you All!
Thank you, ART BRI. I agree with you. The best coverage and truth comes from you and others.
I APPRICATE YOU AND ALL THAT HELP IN JESUS'S NAME AMEN 🙏 ❤❤
SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
DON'T FEEL GUILTY.
Superb account of devastation delivered with heart and soul.
Thank you for sharing! My heart Goes up to God for all of you guys there in NC. I can not help but all I can do is pray!!!
What does a temporary bridge look like??? Thanks for sharing and allowing us to see the absolute devastation. I have been coming to that area for the last 3 years. It will be different next year for sure.
I live in Ohio. Thank you for showing us the truth. Be safe.
Thank you for this thorough, painful tour of Asheville’s destruction. Asheville was an amazingly vibrant place before H Helene. Hopefully love and resiliency of spirit will produce a special Asheville again.
It is so tragic. We are in East TN. Thankfully our home is fine. But goodness, all around us.
Praying for everyone affected, ty for sharing. My Son lives in Charlotte and has friends in Asheville, who are ok. My Sons favorite place to visit❤
Besides the destruction there, the loss of jobs is terrible!!
We won't forget ❤ so much history in the making there. Revitalization topics also seem popular for news stations. When rebuilding begins.
LEO deserves a special round of applause for outstanding effort during Helene recovery.
Praying
Thanks for helping the Rhodes!❤❤
Thank you, Art, for all the service and help you have given to the community!
Thank you for sharing. I had no idea the depth of destruction that happened there in Asheville.
Chain…two is one, one is none… hope you find one! Thank you for revealing what the so-called press won’t. I’m sharing with others who are having trouble believing it.
I was in that very area for the first time for me in the beginning of September. It looks like a war zone. So very sad… ❤ 💗💜💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
So was I. So was I.
Thank you Art. It’s helpful to see to understand the devastation. Continued prayers🙏
I have heard Asheville is slatted to be a smart city along with Charlotte?
I’m hoping that all these videos y’all are doing will be collected and stored for history.
Thanks for All you do for everyone Art💯%.
JO JO IN VT 💞🍁
Art, please don't feel bad for taking a day off to be with your family and doing household chores. They need u too. I am praying.
Praying for Asheville 🤗❤️😢. Yall are only a two hours and 45 minutes from where I live and I know friends that are up there and were traumatized by what they saw. They are young college guys and they saw it in Asheville and in Boone. They are cousins so yes they were shaken !
I came across a video Mark Huneycutt he walked up to Chimney Rock and the damage is heart breaking, roads washed out and houses gone.
People coming together to help is what this country is about. we cant thank the govt though
thank you, bless you
Art, I live in a tiny house truck. I watch your channel and was amazed. I was also watching you deliver propane. I need propane too. Will you help me?
The news media is not reporting that much out of Ashville or the surrounding areas. It’s like they don’t want folks to see the havoc that’s been wrought on you guys. Praying God’s hand over all of this situation. Thanks Art for bringing what’s really happened there.
If you are able to get mail would you set up a Amazon wishlist for items like the chain saw chain and other items?
We need the continuous updates. You know how quickly life moves on, and we need the constant reminders!! ❤
So glad you are ok
My families roots are in Asheville. My grandfathers business is still in business there❤️
