In 40 years of commercial driving, it always baffled me how important that 10 or 15 seconds a 4 wheeler driver might save by not letting you in or passing in an unsafe place! Never fails! Thanks for the ride Dawson. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.
I was up there in 1980 just graduated high school in GA . Bird Creek was a ski lodge singular one building up a single lane gravel road. Just below their where bird Creek runs under the road fish for Jack salmon and steelhead back then you could just pull over side the road. You might drive 45 minutes during the week and never see anyone except maybe a moose or bald eagle. Also no weigh station back then😅😅😅
Dawson great 👍 👌 trucking 🚚 video 📹 bud, there seems to be plenty of construction going on in various places, 2 good drops there, is the season changing, ?have you noticed in last few years any temperature change? Is it still very severe in winter?, are you getting more and more rain 🌧 now, awesome 👌 👏 👍 job
I always said, short haul work is harder than running midwest to the west coast. If you miss one stopoff it screws up your schedule big time. Great to see you watch the guy unloading your freight. Getting beaned by anything off a truck can spoil your whole day. Great video as always Dawson. Greetings from the Arrowhead of MN.
I take my boots off on the steps and set them next to the door, but with all the rain to Kenai and back today and the mud puddles at Davis Block... Let's just say she's getting vacuumed tomorrow. Never fails... One of these days ill see you on the road. Safe travels man!
@@TheAlaskaTrucker No, dirt work company in the Butte hauling dirt, iron, you name it. Mostly for us and our jobs but sometimes hired out freight as well for other companies

Depends, we’ve gotten way more snow the last couple years than we used to get. Temperature seems a little warmer but still some severe cold snaps

Yessir that local work is no joke. And always watch the load and the forklift driver stuff can happen in a hurry!
