15:40 So, weird specific ruling that came up in my friends and my progression games: When Power Tool changes control, the Double Tools fall off and are destroyed. Konami rulings say that, because the text specifies "a Power Tool Dragon or level 4 or higher Morphtronic Monster on your side of the field" they check for an appropriate target at all times. Once it changes control, it's no longer on your side of the field, so it's not an appropriate target and Double Tool is destroyed. It didn't matter because it was immediately synched off, but it's a fascinating ruling to know. (Reference link 5 on the yugipedia rulings page for Double Tool)
@@RayquaSr. depends. Catastor is if it just blanket destroys, and a Construct is a limited destruction effect on attack, at least thats how I've always heard them used as.
Which is good so just in case Cimo has a way to stop your kill, you can get rid of Megamorph now that he has lower life points to keep Power Tool from shrinking.
Too be fair, most of the actual support making dark magician an Archetype does come from the Arc-V era. Same with blue-eyes and red-eyes. I get your point tho.
Fun Fact, I tried Morphtronic in master duel as a Link Spamming Archetype and it's amazingly fun. It can go into appollusa or Accescode real easy and even borreload. I recommend trying it but it's only good while Maxx C is still a thing in Master Duel also reasoning at 3, something we don't have in TCG
Also, they will get new support very soon in Duelists of Pyroxene. I‘m very hyped!!! (All of them are old cards and don‘t have HOPT. new rogue contender soon maybe?)
This episode was the History of Equip Spells lol. Honestly though, when I saw Cimo's deck and saw cyber dragon and deep sea diva, it gave me some nostalgia when a friend of mine introduced me to the hyper blaster combo where you special CyDra then summon Diva into diva, then synchro into Life Transer then synch that with the other diva to create Psychic Hyper Blaster. It was one combo at my regional many were not expecting. Thank you for the content!
My reaction wasn't quite as nostalgic, but I do run 2 copies of Diva in my CyDra deck in Duel Links. Zane has a skill that lets you turn any CyDra monster into a 5 star, and you can't respond to skill activations. My opponent let me summon 2 Divas because my only monster was a level 1 CyDra Nachster, and suddenly I can choose between Black Rose or Crystron Quariongandrax before they have a chance to respond
I have played Morphtonics during that era for 2 and a half years, and everyone called me MoprhtronicRobban because of it. My favorite archtype gets finally a light in your series thank you Cimo and MBT
@@kidumby7599 United loses to backrow removal just as hard as mage power and as seen in this game, the deck is not that swarmy. Mage power is just better
Ah yes, Morphtronics my favorite deck in all of Yugioh. I'm really shocked the list was not playing Machine Dup or Repair Unit. Machine Dup was just broken in Morphtronics due to you could summon 3 Celfon to swarm the field, 3 Boarden to stop your Morphtronics from being destroyed in battle, or 3 Remoten to refill your hand with Morphtronics and go into X-Saber Gottems without the need of a non-tuner. Repair Unit was another monster Reborn for them that could be searched off Power Tool Dragon which let you swarm the field even more. Cyber Valley was also another tech choice due to being another One for One/Machine Target that help you stall until you could step up your OTK or give you draw power.
“I don’t want to get brain-controlled” lol if only there was a way for your level 8 psychic monster to not be targeted by card effects, if only, it’s a damn shame.
@@santiviera No this is you and the original commenter missing the point, Cimo knows Ruler's effect, that's the entire reason he was bringing Brain Con up.

The "apply and resolve on field" part of Double Tool C & D's effect was actually an errata, the original just said "the effects of the attack target are negated during the battle phase". Another thing that very much could have come up is that Double Tool is not level 4 morphtronic, it's level 4 machine type morphtronic, and radion is randomly a thunder.
Back in the day my friend's father played Morphtronics while I played Glad Beasts and my friend played Blackwings. We won more often than not but sometimes he would thrown down a sick combo and completely dismantle us. It was such a fun deck to see in action. This was a fun nostalgia trip.
