Picked up Stevie Wright after he got out of Katoomba drug rehab hitch hiking on the high way he stayed at my terrace house in Surry hills for 2 weeks cool guy not like some rock stars he is also related to AC/DC the young family cousin I think if memory serves
@@dougwoellner9216 Wow that's awesome, very sad what happened to him though, he seemed pretty genuine whenever I've seen him in interviews. But I believe in around 1964-65 he lived with the Young family, he wasn't related to them I don't think.
Wow , I can not believe it at least 3 Rehabilitation centers and not one helped him. The first one gave him a cocktail of drugs that nobody knows what was in there. That put him in a Coma for at least 2 weeks maybe more. At the same time they were given him 14 Electronic shock treatment's that to might have been more. But he had to jump out of a window to get away from them. Only to be found by a staff member and taking back. To Start his treatments over. But he was CHAINED to his bed. 😢😢😢😢 That broke his will and fried his brain. And Ruined his life. Look up his life story.😢😢😢
After his second rehab center stay I don't know what happened there ? But 3 week's after his release from the Westmont rehabilitation center he was arested for trying to break into a house. 😢😢😢 Don't know what happened to him about that. But before the month was over he was once again arrested for having drugs on him, or being high on them. That is very sad.😢😢😢😢 But he was in 2 more drug rehabilitation center for and alcohol. And that nothing worked for him. It is no wonder that his life turned out the way it did. Thank goodness that he had Faye Walker who was there for him. And also he had his son there with him 🎉🎉 I hope that he had some good times in between the Hard times he has been through 😢😢. Very sad 😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤ P S. Rest In Peace Stevie wright you deserve it . You are loved and missed ❤❤❤❤😢😢😢
As a 46 year old metal head, I only recently discovered these guys from a movie soundtrack. Am purchasing the "best of" online tonight. Really like 'em.
@@nativeeurope1299 Try Rock'n'Roll Outlaws, Assault And Battery and Scared For Life Excellent albums all And the Wacken DVD is class too as is Live From Boggo Boggo Prison Rock On The Tatts
I am a "yank" who has been a fan of angry anderson and rose tattoo for 20 years now since a friend brought back a record of theirs from queensland. and I don't give a bloody sheet what anyone says rose tattoo is one of the best bands i've ever heard. so if that makes me a stupid yank whos comment don't count then i guess i am but i will always stand by my fav band no matter what.
I was in a band called Heaven The Axe, and we toured with these guys towards the end of 2012. They were awesome and treated us very well. The year after, we played at flood relief show in Wagga Wagga, Australia. We enquired to Angry if the Tatts could also play the show, but for logistical reasons it couldn't happen. It was a good thing though, as we got to play as Angry's backing band that night. We did 7 Tatts songs and Jumping Jack Flash. We had a week and a half from confirmation of Angry playing the show, until the gig itself. One rehearsal as a band, and none with the man himself. Shit, Angry only got to the show 15 minutes before stage time hahaha We shook hands and basically had a quick chat amd then went on. Was surreal being onstage with the living legend that is Angry Anderson. ...and we did well! We did very well! 😁🤘
I saw them yesterday in Lisbon at Super Bock Super Rock. Unfortunately they played after Slayer and Iron Maiden and so most of the people were gone and the remaining were tired. But they still gave a very cool concert, I didn't know them before but now I see this is badass rock'n'roll! :D
Lacks Balls? Wow thats the understatement of the century, if Rose Tattoo dont have balls than Hercules must have been a Eunic. This song has more balls than I can count, but thats besides the point. This Cover of Stevie Wrights Black Eyed Bruiser comes at the perfect time to basically say "piss off" to the rest of the Lame Out rock music that is being wanked off these days. God Bless you Angry and crew for this slice of Integral intensity. I love you forever Rosey -Dan
Angry; you are the man. Someone who can hit the stage like you in flannos or anything true to who you are and belt your heart out like you do deserves every ounce of respect available. True grass roots Aussie rock !!!!
killer track! lost count how many times we've seen the Tatts, never forget an interview with Axel saying how they were largely influenced by Rose Tattoo. rock on fellas....
Before Oz Rock transformed itself into generic brand talent show wannabees this is what it sounded like. Original version mid-seventies was by Stevie Wright written by fellow Easybeats Vanda and Young.
Discovered RT in the early 80-ies.Angry Andersen was quite outstanding at that time:Bald,a lot of tatoos,"pitbull-like",muscular,great voice and with an attitude. They still kick ass and Angry still have the kicks!!!
TFFT!!! Gotta love the mighty Tatts. Can't wait til they head back home after their festival tour in Europe. For anyone who doesn't realise, this is a cover of Stevie Wright's 1974 version, co written by Vanda and Young.
These guys have sure been doing the rounds. Earlier this year they supported G'n'Roses, then recently Motorhead, plus the odd gig here & there. In your face R'n'R!
There are AC/DC. But there is another band from the same Continent. Still 2019/20 on Tour Worldwide. And i prefer this one! ROSE TATTOO. A true Rock n Roll Band! There are not many left with same spirit, quality and energy.
This is my favorite version of this song. As an American, I'd like to thank you Aussies for some of the greatest rock music of the 60s, 70s and 80s! I believe AC/DC was the most popular Aussie rock band here in the States. Also, BeeGees were very popular amongst the disco crowd. I was never really big into disco music, but I must admit that the BeeGees were a talented group.
Much agreed, besides Malcolm young plays guitar on it and I believe Harry Vanda and George Young do backing vocals as well, doesn't get better then that.
The best crowd I’ve ever seen was at surfer’s raceway in 1987. I walked the several k’s back to Jupiter’s casino avoiding being run over. Released from Southport watch house the same week. One of the greatest nights in me history. RIP 7
